Ladies you are all beautiful. What can I say. I dont know of anywhere else that a person could ask for a little support and get back so much love. Not only from ladies who are always here but from the really strong, brave and generous ladies who keep an eye on us from other threads.

Kate, my love, thank you so very much that you are able to offer such comfort when I know you are having to dig deep within yourself to find the strength to get through tomorrow. I am in the Worthing and Southlands area so thank you very much for the offer but they wont see me at St Richards. I didnt realise you were so close to me. Thats great. Everyone else here is oop North from us. I am thinking of you and your wonderful DH for tomorrow. I am sure it will help to start the healing for you both.

Well I didnt bother going to the GP. I really couldnt face an internal exam when I know it wont tell them anything. I havent had any further bleeding so fingers crossed. I am sure I have had movement from the little one tonight so more fingers crossed.
I am thinking that as I was told I had a 5cm ovarian cyst at my 13 week scan maybe it has popped and I am losing blood from there. Who knows, its a mystery.
I am a bit put out that even at 17 weeks you still need a bloody GP referal for EPU. I have proof I am pregnant! Two sets of pictures. It isnt like I want a reassurance scan when I only have 3 weeks until my 20 week one.
I feel ok, no pain, so I shall stop taking up all your time.
Thank you all so very much.

kate - can't really find the words but am thinking of you today and sending you some virtual strength

ronshar - so on your behalf, is there anyway you could get a private scan? I know you shouldn't need to but the system sucks so much.

splishsplosh · 01/05/2008 14:10

Kate thinking of you, your dh and little Thomas today x

Ronshar, hope you're not having any more bleeding, and you're feeling some movements. Can't believe you still have to go to epu at this stage, anyway

Ellie hope Molly decided to sleep in the end. dd spent first 2 weeks in hospital asleep, and never seemed to need more than a few catnaps after that for the next year! I used to feel despairing sometimes!

lackaDAISYcal · 01/05/2008 15:23

kate, i hope today went well; think =ing about you and your DH xx

Ronshar; how are you lovely? i hope everything is OK!

Kate, hope it all went ok ((hugs))

Ronshar, any news? Hope everything alright.

Great news Jules.

Nothing to report as usual, which i guess is a good thing . Pleased as have been booked back in to see the consultant. They advised the baby aspirin (a can't hurt, might help kinda thing) but noone told me how long to take it etc. So they made me an appt. with him after 21 week scan, so we can work out what to do. If he tells me to stop though think I will be really paranoid about doing that!?

kd73 · 01/05/2008 19:37

Just a quickie to say I had my first scan today and have been put at 5+6. A little heartbeat flickered away, which despite two m/c previously we have never yet managed to see a heartbeat as always scanned much later.

Smiles I have joined in the spin trial but monitoring only. Hopefully that will be enough !

Kate I hope today went as well as can be expected. Much love to you and your family.

Hi ladeez been in bed since last thursday with second bout of flu in 2 weeks arghhhh - am sick of being sick
so nice to come on and read about Molly and Amelie - you clever clever yummy mummies you LOVE hearing your stories of your first few days - really feel i can imagine what you are up to - makes me feel all warm and glowy inside - have been making dh have a look at your photies he is trying to look interested but think he is more worried at how personally i am taking your fab news
My nips have been tingling too - so good to hear that am not abnormal - albs lucky you gushing milk - these little puppies wouldn't feed a flea as they are...

minipops still leaping around all over the place - is like having an alien in my tum - cool but weird at the same time?

Ronny - won't write gonna ring you love - can't believe you've been goling thru the mill...but being a true trooper as per usual eh?xxxxx

perkypopsy · 01/05/2008 21:28

special HIIIIIIIIIII to wheely any news hon? What's been happening chez wheely? xxxxxxxxxxxx

lackaDAISYcal · 01/05/2008 22:07

great news KD keepoing it all crossed for you!

sorry about the flu popsy and i hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about your boobs; size isn't anything when it comes to BFing and they will expand rapidly once your milk comes in. I went from Keira Knightley to LAra Croft in the space of two days

I have whiplash doc has given me paracetomol (as much use as toffee) and has said that diclofenac gel is OK. I'm using it, but am still worried about the effect on this poor bean, especially as I'm back on ADs as of yesterday

feeling very sorry for myself this evening, but have felt beanie moving around a few times today (13 weeks today) so that is vwery reassuring; either that or beanie is saying "whoah, what's happening" to all these drugs.

Who's next to pop then? Is there a updated list anywhere?

Ronny, I hope things are OK.

I haven't been here for 2 weeks either.
Don't know why.
I feel very self obsessed, this pregnancy , and that is not very nice.
Sorry everyone.
So was just popping in to say hello.

Sorry to read Kate2179 sad news. I often think about her. And feel grateful that all my complaints are so petty and minor compared to hers. Kate you are an inspiration with your strength.

Many Congratulations to Dondons. What a relief. That she is finally here.
And EllieG.

Goodness, births everywhere.

Hello to Cricri and Daisy.

smilesattheweekend · 02/05/2008 09:27

Hi everyone, glad scans went ok. KD I think the intensive monitoring makes the world of difference and you build up a super library of scan photos (I still look back at the ones from when I was having my son 5 years ago).

I am 12 weeks today!!!!!! Have told everyone at work and it seems so surreal - they are lovely and have been asking about whether I want to know what flavour and when I will finish work etc, i have been so focussed on just getting to 12 weeks I haven't any answers for them. I just keep thinking that this isn't happening although I did have a little smile to myself on the way to work and felt a bit silly (if that makes sense) have been so used to not being excited it is hard to get excited (sorry for rambling).

X

Smiles & KD great news on the scans.

Sorry to hear you have whiplash Daisy - its horrible I had that a couple of years ago - and rubbish especially when you can't take the strong stuff they usually prescribe.

Hello to everyone else. Just wanted to tell you all that I got my bloods back (didn't get a nuchal) and am low risk, so that is another thing I can stop worrying about

perkypopsy · 02/05/2008 11:57

Hi, did someone on here say they were using a Doula (Kasha/daisy?)? I quite fancy having one but there are so many to choose from how do you know if you have found a good one?

cricri · 02/05/2008 12:13

Hi everybody!
Great news about the scans Jules, KD and Smiles. Popsy I'm thinking of having a doula, but I'm not meeting the lady in question until the end of the month. She was recommended to me by the lady I see for homeopathy as this doula uses alternative therapies during labour. I guess a word of mouth recommendation is best if possible. Otherwise ring a few up and arrange to meet them and see which one you "click" with. I think most of them offer a no-obligation first meeting. The lady I'm seeing said exactly that - we need to meet to see if we're happy with one another. Have you had a look on the this website?
I think Kasha is also going to be using a doula so I'll be interested to hear what she has to say too

perkypopsy · 02/05/2008 13:18

Thaks Crici - think am going to bite the bullet and call a few - one is all blond and glamorous - don't want someone who makes me feel worse about myslf

KashaSarrasin · 02/05/2008 20:54

Hello everyone!

Congratulations jules kd and smiles on your scans!

Ronshar I hope everything's OK, thinking of you...

Yes, I'm in the process of booking a doula. I found my local listings on www.doula.co.uk. I wanted a trainee as it only costs £150 (we're a bit broke!) and there are two in my town, it was reasonably easy to choose as the doula I've chosen has a similar career background to me and we got on very well at our first meeting, plus she only lives 10 minutes walk away!

I won't be around for a bit as I have to go and visit my Mum who is sick, not looking forward to the 8 hour drive tomorrow! Should be back end of next week

Wheelybug · 03/05/2008 09:23

Hi Pops - All fine here in a non-pregnant way. Had first appointment at ACU which was v. irritating (with a nurse who kept coming out with all the usual cliches ... my fave being 'enjoy your fertile time' grrrr). Anyway, need to have blood tests (again) and HSG. Appt with consultant not until end of July which is a month later than it should be according to their protocol. The only benefit though I realised yesterday is that by then I will be a 'year' older which might help things along. The appointment will also be 2 years almost to the day since m/c so that too might help !

Anyway, enough of me - hows things with you and the Poppette ? How far along are you now ??

Waves again to all who know me (and to those that don't !).... Hope its all going well for you all.

lulu1414 · 03/05/2008 19:16

Dear all- I've been away for awhile- but just wanted to update and ask a question...

Firstly, I had a my nuchal scan 10 days ago and all was well. I was thrilled as I was so nervous walking into the scan as that is when I found out I had miscarried last time. But this time saw a very lively baby- so, so pleased. The dr was lovely and sepnt 45 minutes with us pointing things out. She also said she suspected I was further along than previously thought! So I am now 14 plus weeks.

Question: today I'm experiencing abdominal pain. Mainly on one side and often sharp and short. Any ideas? Should I be worried?

Emmsy1 · 03/05/2008 20:09
