Oh My god Beckle i could just eat your daughter up - oooohhhhh i might have one of those in ummm.. (popsy realises she doesn't have a clue how long it takes to cook a baby) ...23 weeks???
Can't believe all the messages coming back in - all my fav ladies about to pop - is truely incomprehensible (big word for a PG lady on a Thursday pm) and also bloody brilliant!
A friend just called to tell me she is PG - she was worried about telling me ...and i could then say 8 weeks? PAH! Try 15! Been out for lunch today with colleague going on ML - so weird to not have told yet - am a bit unsure about how to do it as I am supposed to be maternity cover and they are all feeling a bit topsy turvy having me as their new boss - though they'll probably be relieved to know am not just greedy porker with strange food tastes (chips, beans, peas and sweetcorn today )...

p.s. TJ - where do you work??? I want to join!

Hi Ladies. Just thought I'd pop in and take a quick read of the thread.

21+5 today and baby is kicking up a storm. She's been active since 14 weeks. AMAZING! Still have a few more weeks till I'm out of my worry zone. After 28Wks I'll relax. Until then I'm still checking knickers and worrying over every odd ache.

Kate, so sorry to read about your situation. I believe in miracles.....wishing you a wonderful one.

Jules, LOVE THE 4D SCAN PICS. We're debating over whether to do it. My next regular scan will be 36Wks....that's a bit too long to go without seeing the little one. Might have it done at 28Wks.

{{{BIG HUG}}} to everyone. Will try to pop back in more often.

KashaSarrasin · 10/04/2008 20:16

Jackstini Congratulations on your BFP!

Jules Those pictures are so beautiful

Ellie wow, you must be getting really excited - I can't believe how many of us are nearly ready to pop!

Hello everyone else

I have my anomaly scan tomorrow morning. Still very nervous, but I haven't had much in the way of bleeding since yesterday afternoon so fingers crossed all will be OK.

becklespeckle · 10/04/2008 20:40

Thanks Popsy! She is incredibly scrummy! The weeks will soon sneak past (15 already!) and before you know it you'll be at the top of the list! When will you tell? (want to know when you are outed so can find you on FB)I waited until 16 weeks for most people but never made an announcement so some didn't find out until 20+ weeks (how they didn't spot it before then...)

Hello Daisy! 10 months ! Your DCs are pretty gorgeous too! Hows things?

EllieG · 10/04/2008 21:06

Blimey ts! 21 weeks! That's fantastic

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 22:14

all well here . Raging MS which starts mid-morning and lasts till bedtime.....all good stuff

DD is great; cruising the furniture and getting into everything. It's seriously impeding my ability to MN safely

Morning ladies, so good to log on and read so much positive news - I don't want to spoil it!
Had a scan with the senior consultant on Wed, he was no more optimistic than the previous one. He did an amnio (was 15.5) and we may get the results as soon as this afternoon, despite having previously been told it would take 10 days. Am trying not to think about it too much today ... But in a way (although this will sound crazy) I'm almost more worried about what will happen if the amnio results are fine. The consultants don't seem to think beanie really stands a chance even if it's not chromosonal (so if it's placental dysfunction/something else...), so it will just be a case of more waiting... Hope that doesn't sound too dreadful. He said he thinks there's a 50% chance the amnio will show what's wrong. Will let you know how it goes when I hear.
TS thank you so much for your good wishes. I need people to be believing in miracles for me at the moment, cos I just can't find the strength to do it.
Kxx

Morning Kate

Just to say I'm still thinking of you....

smilesattheweekend · 11/04/2008 09:40

Hi all, still no pc at home so grabbing 5 mins in the day whilst at work to try and catch up. 9 weeks today - had a spot of blood this morning again but it was brownish again so trying not to worry (what will be will be and all that malarchy). Am taking it easy at work today also. JustJules, you mentioned that the heparin injections might cause bleeding, was yours just spotting every now and again (sorry to be nosey) just thought you could let me know your experience if you don't mind - did it occur much etc?

Love to you all and will be thinking of you kate.

DonDons · 11/04/2008 09:57

Just adding some best wishes for Kate - miracles do happen from time to time - I firmly believe this after DH had a terrible accident years ago and got through it. Am keeping everything crossed for you.

Smiles - don't know anything about heparin myself but hopefully lovely jules will be along with her wisdom soon.

kate2179 · 11/04/2008 10:04

Thanks ladies. Smiles while you're waiting for the lady herself, I'm sure she won't mind me telling you, it wasn't just a bit of brown spotting, it was (to use her words) bright red, watery, gushing! And still all was fine! Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Now, really must get in the shower.....

smilesattheweekend · 11/04/2008 10:07

Thanks Kate. I OMG i didn't realise (sorry I try and catch up every now and then but PC at home is up the wotsit). I think we try and rationalise everything and somehow just end up worrying more - I am a fretter anyway by nature!

KashaSarrasin · 11/04/2008 13:19

(((kate))) I hope you get the amnio results quickly and that it's good news. The not knowing must be unbearable. I'll be thinking of you xxx

Just back from scan, all is OK but bump was being uncooperative and wouldn't roll over so the sonographer could see the spine, so I have to go back for another scan next week. The clot on my cervix is still there and measuring bigger than last week but the sonographer said she couldn't get a proper look as my bladder wasn't full enough, they'll check this next week as well.

makecakesnotwar · 11/04/2008 13:33

Good news Kasha!

KAte- wanted to know I am thinking of you and hoping the results get back to you asap. The not knowing is hideous. Sadly I have a friend who is in a very similar position waiting on results- when she told me, I immediately thought of you (that sounds odd.) I am keeping everything crossed for you both.

lackaDAISYcal · 11/04/2008 13:39

{{{[{hugs}}}}} kate. thinking of you xx (if you need a miracle, there's one on the Nov AN thread at the moment......in brief, dx'd molar pregnancy, D&C, increasing hcg levels, worry over cancer, scan showed a little bean, very much alive and kicking)

kasha, good news on the scan and you get to have another one as well lucky you!

still no date for mine. If i hadn't heard bubs hb on tuesday I'd be beating down the door of the hospital by this time!

Hi Ladies, dragged sorry arse off sick bed to get some advice - morning sickness has been getting worse this week - then woke up this morning and couldn't get out of bed/drink water/eat. Spent whole day in bed/on sofa feeling so sick that can't do anything except lie there moaning. Finally realised was actually going to be sick, ran upstairs, felt was going to faint and was more violently sick than I can ever remember being(it came out my eyes and made my gums bleed ) - am worried about poor mini pops- is this just bad morning sickness (15 +4??) or a bug or the runny egg I had at the weekend (oh the shame) - feel like death - supposed to be driving up to Yorkshire tonight to the in laws - they are so excited to see us arghhhhhhhh make it stop

lackaDAISYcal · 11/04/2008 14:48

perky, sorry you're feeing so rough

I'd call the docs if I were you, in case it is a bug or food poisoning, although it's unlikely that you'll get anything from a runny egg these days.

Can you keep anything down? It might be worth getting some re-hydration fluid and sip that gently.

I'd also put the folks off till next weekend. I've travelled whilst having a D&V bug and it was one of the worst experiences of my life!

OP posts:
perkypopsy · 11/04/2008 14:50

Thanks drdaisy I do need some fluids have found it hard to get any down all the way thru PG but today has been the worst yet (I am usually drinking like a camel)

perkypopsy · 11/04/2008 14:54

beckle you'll find me on nina and her twins beans and ellie g and albs and ronshar's friends list - am standing with big lake behind me wrapped up in hat and scarf. Told my PA last Thursday and Boss - was massive relief - waiting another week to tell other colleagues as they need time to get used to me being new boss before i tell them am outa there p.s. think initials are RP (not changed my name on there yet)

kate if anything can create a miracle it is all the hopes and wishes for you and your special-k coming from this thread [big hugs emoticon for you]

DonDons · 11/04/2008 15:24

Popsy - ring GP just to make sure but that said I had a couple of days just like this when I was in the throws of morning sickness and it was just morning sickness (and I ate loads of runny eggs mmmmmmn) - so hopefully upi will be fine.

DonDons · 11/04/2008 15:25

you will be fine

rainrain · 11/04/2008 16:03

Kate thinking of you, hope you get results soon, and am wishing all the best.

Popsy hope you are feeling better too. Perhaps minipops is having a big growth spurt making you feel sick. My DD has outed me to all the kids at school (and therefore all the school gate mums) - one of them told me this morning she was sick for 9 months with her DD, so it might be that (not nice, but better than food poising or something )

Am 16 weeks now, and wildly swinging between being really positive, to madly crazy and paranoid about it all still. Twilight, am with you, think 28 weeks is a good time to start relaxing.

Hello to everyone, hope you are all good. Might add myself to the list next time it comes round....
