Evening . This will be one of my last posts on here for a while.
We got the results from the amnio - the baby does have triploidy.
He is a little boy and we will call him Thomas.
They said I could go in tomorrow if I wanted to, but we are going to wait until the end of next week for various reasons. One one hand I can't believe this will all finally be over after what we have been through right from the start, and one the other I am relieved that, for a while at least, no-one can phone us with bad news. Every time I get a 'witheld number' call my stomach lurches.
We will wait a while before trying again, I want to do everything I can to make sure I am as physically and emotionally ready as I can before we even think about starting trying.
It looks like was may have a fight getting chromosome tests done on us before trying again. The first consultant said we could if that was what we really wanted, but the senior consultant said they wouldn't cos it's a waste of time. I told him I'd find it very difficult to get my head around trying again without knowing if this would just be bound to happen again (very rare but not impossible) but he said we may just have to get our heads round it. Can't remember if I told you that the other day, sorry if I'm repeating myself.
Back in January when I was first told this pg was all over () I booked a private app with Raj Rai at St Mary's in Paddington. I know we don't strictly fall into the recurrent mc category at the moment, but I hope he will help us if the NHS won't...
Rambling now, time to go .

Hi Jules, sorry to hear about your scare - but if the docs are saying these problems are rare then i'm sure everything will be fine. Try to relax easier said than done i know!!

EllieG · 13/04/2008 21:12

Lots of thoughts and prayers and positive vibes coming your way jules xxx

kate2179 · 13/04/2008 21:50

Jules thinking of you, when is your scan? Is it the clotting levels they were checking?Such a good sign mini-j is so active though. As you've said before (I think it was you) she will definitely be grounded when she arrives (safe and sound ) for causing you so much worry all these months! Have faith in the hospital, they've got you this far, they'll get you the rest of the way too.

kate2179 · 13/04/2008 21:51

Popsy how are you doing lovely? No more vomit-from-the-eyes I hope, or from anywhere else for that matter! Hope you're feeling better xx

Jules think I'm right in saying your clotting levels were bordeline to start with? So hopefully even if they are raised a bit they're still well within the safe range... So hard waiting I know, but I BET LWH would have you in straight away for a scan or more tests if they were serously worried. Sending {{{hugs}}}. I will be checking up on you on here till Ella arrives safe and sound (which she WILL) and you are moaning about getting no sleep ! hope that's ok by you! xx

PS really hope I've got her name right... xx
