Sorry Smiles forgot to say great news about your scan Hopefully you can relax a little now. Seeing the hb is amazing isn't it?

goingfor3 · 09/04/2008 11:21

I found this from Rainbow days, huge congratulations to her and her family!!!!

Well We are delighted to announce the safe arrival of JAK.

He arrived at 7.40am today Wednesday 02.04.08, born at home after a very quick labour 1hour and 40 mins (ambulance arrived too late!). Weighing 9lbs with no pain relief other than TENS available (ouch!)

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 11:21

ooh, smiles, I missed your post as well. that's fantastic. the statistics are definately in your favour, so fingers crossed for the next few weeks

Congratulations Rainbowdays

Jackstini · 09/04/2008 11:40

Thanks Cricri for inviting me over to this thread.
Have not read it all (sorry ladies - will try and catch up!) but got a BFP this morning after mcs in Aug and Nov last year.
Will hopefully get an early scan from EPU but not sure when to go. Am only 4+4 at the moment so at least a couple more weeks?

Jackstini · 09/04/2008 11:44

JustJules - just seen your pics - they are gorgeous. So pleased for you

smilesattheweekend · 09/04/2008 11:46

Thanks everyone!! Can't concentrate on my work!!! XX

goingfor3 · 09/04/2008 11:46

Jackstini congratulations!!! I would wait until around 8 weeks to have a scan as you will almost certainly see a heartbeat by then. At 6 weeks you may or may not see a heartbeat which causes extra worry.

DonDons · 09/04/2008 12:42

Congratulations Jackstini and welcome - hope you have a long and uneventful pregnancy.

Second what goingfor3 says... and beware that your EPAU might not give you an early scan despite your history as many of us have found out....

how did I get to be 3rd from the top???!

cricri · 09/04/2008 13:14

Jackstini Welcome, glad you found us
I also agree with what the others said re early scan. I had one at 7+3 and we did see the hb fortunately. I had to go private because my GP wouldn't push for an early NHS scan after "only" one mc. Having said that, a friend who has a different GP here did get one on the NHS so you may be lucky.

Jackstini · 09/04/2008 14:08

Have got a scan date for when I am 9 weeks! Called the EPAU and they were lovely - 9am on May 9th. Seems ages away but at least I have something to focus on.
Now DonDons - sending labour vibes your way!!

perkypopsy · 09/04/2008 18:12

ELLIE bloody hell - you had four weeks to go...about a minute ago... soooooo excited for you - have known you for a year now - cannot believe it - from sadness comes friendship and then JOY yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I am now 15 weeks which is amazing too - still feeling rotten and knackered and seem to be hving little fluttering feelings that i swear feel like minipops moving but too early?
Told work, stress is lifting - off to inlaws this weekend to look at prams (MIL insisting - feels too early but looking can't hurt eh?)...all positive chez-pops
Justjules 14 weeks for you lady - love the sound of the decorating - just think before we know it you'll be Ellie and counting down your last week and I'll be decorating (or telling someone to at leasT) - great thing about time isn't it - it just keeps moving thank christ
off home to eat jam sarnies and laze around in jarmies as DH away..zzzzzzzzzzz.....

lackaDAISYcal · 09/04/2008 20:39

popsy I felt DDs first flutterings at 14 weeks, with definate movements by week 16. but she wasn't my first. DS I didn't feel anything until around 19 weeks.

morning (or rather evening) sickness has kicked in big time this evening. I felt a bit queasy cooking tea, but was fine to eat it. Now i feel like I'm going to throw it all up again . ginger tea and an early bed beckons.

jackstini - congratulations! that is such great news. v. happy for you.

hi to everyone else. you're right about time, popsy. its a trip to come on here - can't believe you are 14 weeks away, jules and I am 12 weeks away! jaysus! are your back at work and thinking about maternity leave? i have six weeks left. i can't honestly say " i can't wait" because my job is pretty mellow and i quite like it but its weird that i will be off for 9 months . . . how weird.

Jackstini · 09/04/2008 21:54

Thanks TJuice & JustJules. Can't believe how far gone you are!! Doesn't seem 2 minutes since you were both so lovely to me on mc threads.
V excited for you both & looking forward to the birth stories

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 09/04/2008 22:09

Ellie - one week to go?! . I am 33 weeks tomorrow so twins may be here in four weeks!!! But it might be six or even seven (hope not cos I cannot sleep!)

Hope everyone else is good...

makecakesnotwar · 10/04/2008 09:39

Welcome and congratulations Jackstini!

T- 12 weeks- how'd that happen??

In fact how did it happen to all of us? Neez is a handful of weeks away, I am 33 weeks today, pops and jules are doing well...mental!!!

"Healthy and well y'all"

EllieG · 10/04/2008 15:50

Isn't it all going fast suddenly? Is very good. Am exactly 39 weeks today - I look humumgous and can't wait to have her out now!

15 weeks pops! Lots of people say they feel things as early as that, especially since you are quite wee, is all apparently to do with position of uterus and if yours is pressing on outside then you could well be feeling mini-pops! It gets uncomfier but doesn't stop being a lovely feeling.

Hey neenz! Glad all well with your twin not-so-beans now. My mate had her twins at 38 weeks so hopefully yours will be nicely on time too.

becklespeckle · 10/04/2008 15:53

Gorgeous pics Jules! MiniJules will be gere before you know it! Glad your sister is doing well too!

Hi Popsy, I felt DS1 move at about 15 weeks for the first time so it ismore than likely MiniPops you are feeling!

I can't believe how many of you are nearly ready to graduate now! Mind you, TAB (time after birth) seems to fly at a much quicker rate than time before, DD is 13 weeks now!
