Thought I'd make a new thread before the old one filled up completely.

Into the second trimester and beyond 😊

Hey ladies
I’ve been lurking but hoping to be more active now that I’m a little bit less anxious about everything.
I had my dating scan yesterday and I’m 12+6 today and due June 23rd.
I’m starting to feel better but I found out I’m anaemic so I’m on iron tablets but the lack of iron in my system seems to be making me breathless even if I talk too fast which is worrying me. I’m just hoping the iron tablets address the issue and baby isn’t being deprived !

I was also wondering if anyone has the Facebook link at hand. I can never get it in time!

@Catson baby will be fine dont worry. It was only one or presumably part of one. And those premixed drinks are weak.

@Catson you and baby will honestly be fine. I read a great book called Expecting Better before which talked about alcohol and pregnancy. If you have the odd drink, and especially if you drink it slowly, the your body will have processed the alcohol loooong before any of it gets close to the baby ❤️

@Beeeceee Hi. The baby should be fine as they get everything they need first and we get the rest. So worst case scenario is that you may not get enough but not the little bean 😄 I hope the supplements work well!

Anyone else feeling big and bumpy!? Almost 14 weeks with baby #2 and I seem to have popped overnight so the maternity jeans are on…forgot how comfy they were! Definitely recommend LOVALL brand for leggings and jeans if anyone else is looking.

@bravinglife I've just taken pics and there's no difference at all in the pics - just lost a bit of muscle from being a blob due to nausea and vomiting. Am 16 weeks tomorrow.

@bravinglife I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and feel like I've popped this week, my husband has started commenting on my bump this week when he hasn't before. I'll need to get some of those maternity jeans!

@Catson - it should be absolutely fine. One drink won't have harmed the baby. Think of all the people who don't even know they're pregnant :).

Please don’t worry @Catson ! My BBF drank occasionally throughout her last pregnancy & everything was absolutely fine. One small, weak drink won’t harm bubba at all

Just had our 12 week scan. Baby was wriggling away and is measuring a couple of days ahead, so my new due date is June 28th. Feeling quite relieved today, and now just have to wait for the results of the blood screening tests.

Also had my scan today. Baby due 20th June, I could have cried with happiness that everything is OK do far. 😁 Lovely to see them move around even if they were not being helpful for the sonographer 🙈

I hope this is OK to post....any guesses on my 12 week scan using the nub theory? (Just for fun) I think girl, but have no idea if I'm honest, I've booked a gender reveal scan new years eve and I'm so excited 😆 this will be my first!

Yes im the same 14 weeks and suddenly popped, a few family members have commented on my bump now and i can't fit it into any of my clothes. I've just bought some maternity jeggings as I have nothing to wear 🙉

Loving all the good news scans. Hoping for the same tomorrow.

I'm useless at all the theories @LavenderJoy, do you have any incline as to what it might be?

@LavenderJoy with absolutely no knowledge of any of the theories and just for fun, I would guess boy 😂💙 New Year’s Eve 😍 how amazing to find out then!

Any guesses on what our bean is?! We find out on husbands birthday 😍

So lovely to hear about and see dating scan pics…congratulations 💞 I get terrible scanxiety but the pics are enjoyed so much once the build up is all over! I’m currently resisting booking a gender scan for 16w as thought it might be nice to have a scan around 28w with the anomaly scan being so soon, I might cave though 😂

@LavenderJoy I’m going to guess girl too! I’m not sure I’m even looking at the ‘nub’ though 🤣 Gender reveal on NYE will be such a lovely way to enter 2024…good time for some sale baby shopping too!

12 week scan here too! Measuring ahead of dates so new EDD 27th June. So lovely to see the little wriggler and be able to tell everyone!

All went great @Catson thank you 💙 EDD 27th June though I expect I will need to plan another c-s around 37 weeks (I have “silent labours” so don’t feel contraction pain!). What time is your scan today?

Hi all, I've not had the courage to join any earlier but I'm almost 13 weeks. I had an early dating scan and NIPT which came back low risk 🙏
My edd is 27th June.
Unfortunately I caught covid last week and that's caused a bit of anxiety. My fever only lasted 24 hours and have been recovering from congestion since. I booked a private scan for tomorrow just to check if all is ok with baby, as it's just niggling away in the back of my mind.

I was hoping the 24/7 queasiness and fatigue would ease up by now....but no such luck. I'm finding it really hard.

Congratulations everyone who has had their scans recently! Lovely news.

I've had both my whooping cough and COVID vaccines within the last 5 days and now both arms hurt and I can't lie on either side 😂🤦‍♀️ Should have thought that through haha. I'm a front sleeper though and still just about managing to sleep on my front with a pillow to take some of my weight. Worst part of my last pregnancy was having to lie on my side, it triggers horrible hip pain.

And just as I was typing all that I felt baby do a very clear little kick! I've had a few wiggles but nothing so clear that I could be 100% sure so that's nice!
