Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

Ugh I had a funny turn this morning when my heart suddenly started racing and I thought I was going to faint. I sat on the floor and was fine after a minute or two but it scared me. I was just walking around the kitchen as normal so no idea where it came from. Maternity said I recovered quickly so they're not worried and I don't need to go in or anything. Has anyone else had that?

Kalodi · 28/11/2023 13:22

Yes I have that with pregnancy @Salamander91 Does give you a scare doesn't it. DR and MWs were never concerned, tended to be when I had lower blood pressure and needed to eat something. Hope you're okay

Salamander91 · 28/11/2023 13:37

@Kalodi terrifying! I scared the crap out of my poor husband lol he's working from home today so he just keeps shouting downstairs every 20 mins to check if still ok 😅 my blood pressure has been consistently around 125/85 the whole pregnancy but I hadn't eaten yet so that could be it. I thought I was having a terrible hypo at first (type 1 diabetic) but my blood sugars were fine.

Kalodin · 28/11/2023 13:49

Definitely just take it easy though still, make sure you eat plenty and get up/down/turn carefully @Salamander91 . Lovely that you've got DH watching out for you though!

Dannic2018 · 28/11/2023 13:49

@Gremlin84 how annoying for you, I think well actually I know I’d be in such a mood! But in fairness I’m stubborn and I’d paint it myself 🤣🤣 I’m restraining myself from painting the kitchen, I won’t do above cupboards on worktops but I’m going to try and do the rest, hate when you want everything done and there’s still so much to do! 2024 has to be a peaceful one because these renovations have been non stop since Jan and I just want a family life again

Gremlin84 · 28/11/2023 13:58

@Luhou Rubbish 😆I'm the DIYer but can't do anything at the moment. Regardless, a decorator would just be much faster and part of the job is painting the new MDF inbuilt wardrobes that the carpenter is just finishing off today, which is a faff and needs to be done properly. I think I just have to remember that if anything requires project management I just need to do it.

Gremlin84 · 28/11/2023 14:02

@Dannic2018 under normal circumstances I'd just start stripping wallpaper and getting on with it, but have to keep reminding myself to take it easy. It just means making the bedroom really clean and nice and as good as it can be despite half the carpet being missing and the new wardrobes being bare MDF. The main task was the wardrobes so we can rearrange furniture/get rid of furniture to make room for cot. So that's done at least.

Mummyme87 · 28/11/2023 14:03

@Salamander91 I get it quite a lot in all pregnancies, lasts for anywhere between 15-30mins. Usually starts when I’m standing in a queue or standing talking to someone. Not a nice feeling. I’ve seen cardiology about it, but throughout the episodes I have a normal heart rhythm So doesn’t need medicated.

my HB is 99 from yesterday so iron hasn’t improved but but maybe stopped it from plummeting. My itching bloods aren’t on the system for some reason which is annoying to probs need to repeat them

Lilothblos · 28/11/2023 14:35

@Rabbitrescue Just to add to the recommendations I’ve just bought a button down nightie from New Look in black for hospital / postpartum and breastfeeding

Salamander91 · 28/11/2023 15:45

@Mummyme87 That sounds awful! Sorry you get it so bad. The worst only lasted a couple of minutes although I was a bit wobbly for a while after. Will you have an iron transfusion? They were pushing me to get one for a while because I've been low since booking but finally got above 105 by 28 week bloods.

EL27 · 28/11/2023 15:55

Does stress affect the baby? 🥺

We sadly had to put one of our cats to sleep at an emergency appointment on Sunday as he got a blockage and went downhill very fast. It was one of the most difficult things I've been through in a while and I can't stop crying! He was only 3 years old and such an affectionate cat (even more so since being pregnant) I was not prepared for it at all 💔

Of course my OH is devastated as well but he keeps telling me to relax for baby but I can't help my emotions, I feel so heartbroken. I just don't know how to not stress about it. I can still feel baby's movements but I'm just so paranoid now that I'm affecting baby 😔

Mushroo · 28/11/2023 16:10

Oh @EL27 im so sorry. We had similar with our cat last year and I know how hard it is when it’s such a shock. The grief hit me so so hard, it took me weeks to feel normal again.

That being said, I’m sure your baby will be absolutely fine. Allow yourself to grieve as I think trying to power through might be worst somehow?

Thinking of you x

Hummusanddipdip · 28/11/2023 16:29

@EL27 I think there is impact, but nothing drastic, otherwise my baby would be very impacted, we had to have our dog pts on the 1st and I've been dealing with multiple family members including my mum having awful news/operations, a letter to tell me I shouldn't have claimed my dental treatment last month as I'm not exempt (midwife never sorted my certificate) and then an email this morning to tell me my garage conversion is not going ahead. All of this since the 17th October, so my stress levels have been extortionate. Try not to worry about the stress, that will just add to it!

I'm so sorry you've had to say goodbye, it's so hard. The grief comes in waves, I have evenings where I just sob, dh has taken to just cuddling me, there is nothing that can be done when that wave hits, time helps? Apparently.

Although anecdotally, ds was born the day after I received a phonecall from my car insurance asking if I'd be willing to attend court regarding an accident I had been involved in a year an a half prior and the mat unit said it could have been stress related (he was born bang on 37 weeks)

FirstT1meMum · 28/11/2023 18:24

Just wondering if anyone's experienced similar....every now and then (but most days) I get a funny sensation like I'm about to start my period. I end up with like goosebumps and just a funny feeling in my tummy. It's not painful and goes away after a few minutes.
Not too sure if that's what braxton hicks feels like or of its where baby is sitting.
Anyone else had a similar sensation?

Salamander91 · 28/11/2023 18:56

@EL27 no advice but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry 😞 losing a pet is awful but especially so young. Thinking of you x

lilluce95 · 28/11/2023 19:11

@EL27 I'm so sorry to hear that, I can't imagine how you feel. Try not to worry about the stress, as I'm sure that will only increase your stress levels! Let yourself grieve and take it easy 💕 sending lots of love x

1992H · 28/11/2023 19:12

Sorry for your loss ❤️❤️ be kind to yourself. X

sashastuck · 28/11/2023 19:13

Sorry to hear that @EL27 :( horrible to have to deal with especially whilst this pregnant. ❤️
And sorry to hear about all of your stress too, @Hummusanddipdip . Out of curiosity, did you have to attend court in the end after having baby? I got an email last week from my insurance and a law firm saying they’re trying to recover costs (from the other person) from an accident I had in the summer. Saying it might have to go to court. Trying to ignore it for now as I can just imagine the stress!!

lucya66 · 28/11/2023 19:49

@FirstT1meMum hmm could maybe be braxton hicks? Does it feel like a tightening? I’ve been having pains but I’m not sure if it’s trapped gas or braxton hicks.

FirstT1meMum · 28/11/2023 20:02

@lucya66 I think there's some tightening higher up. It's such a strange feeling!

Hummusanddipdip · 28/11/2023 20:18

Hey @sashastuck no, but it was all very odd. It was 3rd parties fault completely but they were chasing whiplash claims and physio. I said I'd be happy to, explained I was due to give birth and they said yhey would try to make it convenient for me, but I heard nothing, then 6 months later got an email saying case closed as no further contact was made after I had agreed to attend if needed...

Hopefully it'll all be straight forward and you won't need to go either.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 28/11/2023 20:38

@EL27 I'm so so sorry, that's horrible. I think let yourself be upset and cry, better to feel it rather than suppress it and have it keep coming back with un-dealt with x

Onedayatatime24 · 28/11/2023 22:24

@EL27 sorry to hear this! I think the same as others, let it out. Bottling it up and trying not to be stressed will always make you feel worse and you'll still be stressed either way. Hope you start to feel a little better soon.

@FirstT1meMum for the last week or so I've had period-like cramps, super light, like the cramps you'd get a couple days before you're due on. I wondered if it's because I've been doing a lot of walking/tidying over the weekend and might just be ligament pain. Never seem to last very long or come of anything. Not even painful really, just like little tightenings low down. Never even thought it could be Braxton Hicks...

FirstT1meMum · 28/11/2023 22:29

@Onedayatatime24 yeah it is similar to that. Really hard to explain! Nice to know I'm not alone. Never thought it could be to do with how much I'm doing...feel like I definitely need to slow down a bit at work but seems to be my list gets longer to do before I go off 🙈

Mummyme87 · 28/11/2023 22:57

Gosh work was so busy today, my tummy is so sore from all the walking. I was cramping and tightening like mad 😣 luckily off for a week then in 3 days next week then done!

argh I’m so stressed about needing a new car. DH is just so laid back like there’s no rush. He deals with all the finance side of it which means I’m a bit lost with how much we will have to play with
