Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

@Mummyme87 thanks for the advice re placenta delivery - think I might stick to physiological then. Is there a cut off point where they’ll say “right you need the injection now”? And sorry about your bloody itching!! I’ve had 1 itchy foot and that’s bad enough. Feels like you want to rip the skin off

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/11/2023 15:47

@Mummyme87 has the itching eased up? That must be so uncomfortable and frustrating!

@Whataretheodds for central London, we loved our Yoyo. Only weighs 6kg so can carry it with baby in on those awkward tube stations which have steps after the lift, and it's very small so fitted easily in busy cafes and restaurants right up at the table. If you need to fold, it folds to a bag size almost, and has a shoulder strap. Don't know if you have a roomy hallway or not, but it was easy to hang off a metal bit in the hallway

Luhou · 23/11/2023 16:00

Thanks @sashastuck so pleased I asked regarding names as it seems the name we've picked isn't lont at all!

Hummusanddipdip · 23/11/2023 16:34

Thanks for the tag and new thread @PartRadish

I think I've had braxton hicks today, mini pulls and tightening across my belly button? I've also been doubled over in pain in my lower stomach a couple of times when I've stood up too fast. Can't get down to help children with tying laces, I now feel sick when I bend over thanks to heartburn/acid reflux.

Had a huge cry at the end of work today, we had a couple of puppies bought into the school grounds at collection and one of my colleagues sisters had her baby today. I had to walk away with the puppies, it's too raw, it's been 3 weeks, but I had my pup for 9 years, so it was hard. And then I had a photo of a newborn shown to me with no notice, I just kind of burst into tears, with all the other stresses outside of pregnancy I'm feeling very vulnerable.

Someone towards the end of the last thread asked about covid, sorry forget who. Dh, ds and I all had it at the beginning of the month, ds had no symptoms and for me and dh it was basically just a heavy cold, totally bunged up and sore throat. Hopefully you avoid it.

suz2285 · 23/11/2023 16:40

@Hummusanddipdip it was me! I've had a dodgy tummy but nothing else so far, I have had a long nap today and feeling slightly better so maybe it's not going to get any worse 🤞

So sorry you've had a rough day, those pregnancy hormones make everything harder as well, hugs x

Salamander91 · 23/11/2023 17:10

I had my 34 week growth scan today. Wee man is measuring pretty average at 5lb 6oz 😊 I booked my csection for December 20th at 38 weeks. Only 27 days to go 🙈

sashastuck · 23/11/2023 17:17

@Salamander91 omgggg so exciting! What a lovely size!❤️

Dannic2018 · 23/11/2023 17:17

Thanks for the add @PartRadish

Hope everyone is ok, we are on our final stretch now and I’m bloody knackered tonight. Going to be naughty and have a McDonalds for tea as I can’t cope with shopping and cooking at this time 🤣

WitcheryDivine · 23/11/2023 17:19

I can't believe there will be babies (plural) on this thread soon! How's Clara doing @Kalodin?

I have 4 weeks left at work as well but considering taking the last week off as holiday as I'm just SO tired all the bloody time and the workload is still heavy.

Anyone else doing NCT classes? Finding them a bit annoying!

FirstT1meMum · 23/11/2023 17:19

Thank you for the thread, love how fast we get through them!

Feeli g particularly achy this week! Struggling to keep up with people and the waddle is real 🤣 was seeing the kids out tonight and I had to tell one of them to slow down as i couldn't keep up!! 🙈

Little one seems to be sitting really far forward these last couple of days so not sure if that's impacting the aches!

Lilothblos · 23/11/2023 17:24

Oh no @WitcheryDivine what are you finding annoying about them? I have my first NCT class next week!

FirstT1meMum · 23/11/2023 17:48

@WitcheryDivine we had our last session on Monday! Sorry to hear you're not enjoying them, what's annoying you? We loved ours, once we'd done the first session anyway!

1992H · 23/11/2023 17:54

Thought it had gone quiet! Just a new thread 😂

tinyracoon · 23/11/2023 18:17

@WitcheryDivine have our first class on Saturday! What are they like?

WitcheryDivine · 23/11/2023 18:23

Oh sorry I don't want to put anyone off, they're generally helpful and the people are nice. Possibly it's just our course leader 😂

Still glad I'm doing them though, I wish I'd signed up for weekend ones instead as doing a long class after a long day at work is a lot.

Sambeaumont · 23/11/2023 18:31

Thanks for the new thread. Just found it :) xx

Bims2019 · 23/11/2023 18:35

@PartRadish thanks for the new thread! Sorry you've had a tough day with monitoring, have they booked you in for any scans along with monitoring the movements? The anxiety is a lot isn't it, hope you're ok.

I had a rubbish day yesterday and spent most of the afternoon in triage. From the growth scan they were concerned about low amniotic fluid levels, so I met with the Dr, had an exam to see if my waters were leaking (they weren't but eek), had a CTG and blood test to check for signs of early preeclampsia. I'm now booked in for follow up scans twice a week, another growth scan in 2 weeks and have been told to call with even the smallest concern about movement. I'm glad they're keeping a close eye but it's quite worrying, don't suppose anyone has experience of this? I just feel a bit deflated, just want baby to be ok and get here safely.

tinyracoon · 23/11/2023 18:56

@Bims2019 oh that's not a fun day - no experience to share but hope everything is ok!

On another topic, I've just realised I'm 32 weeks so could start with raspberry leaf tea and 4 dates a day or those other things to supposedly make labour easier...: is anyone else trying this or is it a massive con? Part of me feels it can't hurt...

Redpanda21 · 23/11/2023 19:13

Thanks @PartRadish for the add. Hope you’re doing okay.

@TunnocksTCake I've only gained 2kg since booking weight.

Have a growth scan tomorrow - 32 weeks. Hoping that growth is doing well and not restricted.

Mummyme87 · 23/11/2023 20:19

I was up
in the night with 5 episodes of diarrhoea, and two again today. I’m wondering if it was the RLT…?!?! With peppermint in it??

also ended up on a waterbirth study day as my manager couldn’t do it. It’s with the expert in waterbirths. Learnt a lot actually as a midwife and a patient

MrsJ6921 · 23/11/2023 20:28

I’m also another one who has a growth scan tomorrow.

Baby was too big, then wasn’t too big but still met the criteria for GTT and I don’t have GD and now her weight has plateaued. I can’t keep up.

Matildahoney · 23/11/2023 20:32

Thanks @PartRadish sorry to hear you've had a tough day!
Is anyone else just done now?! 34 weeks today, bump has really dropped and baby is engaged. I'm just so uncomfortable.
Just packed my hospital bag except my clothes as I'll be wearing them up to the day I give birth! Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything, think I just need some drinks and snacks.
Had a growth scan yesterday, looking highly likely I will be induced between 38 & 39 weeks. If baby doesn't have other ideas and come early!

Lilothblos · 23/11/2023 20:40

Another one here with a growth scan tomorrow! Seems there’s a few of us on here having them. 2 weeks ago fundal height was way over 97th centile but this week fundal height measured as no growth at all since the last one. Pretty sure the one 2 weeks ago was just a dodgy measurement but good to have it checked!

LittleAlien24 · 23/11/2023 20:41

@TunnocksTCake don't worry as long as baby is ok
@tinyracoon docs can be really different. With my first i gained over 40kg and was worried but all my gyne kept telling me is that it's ok that i was too skinny anyway and should put up a bit of weight (i was in normal weight before my pregnancy). This time in different country and weighed only once for 20 week tests. So i wouldn't think too much of it as long as baby is ok.
@PartRadish sorry to hear about the movements thing. Hope it goes better and you don't have to worry too much
@Luhou same here, really hoping he stays in until I've at least most of it done
@Lilothblos oh i share your pain with dust. They been in the house for the last 2 and a half weeks chiseling everywhere plus now cement and plaster everywhere. We'll start plastering the house room by room some time after he's born
@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yeah dust everywhere and when wiping surfaces it turns whitish/grey few minutes later. I washed my floor 6x yesterday and i can still feel dust
@MrsJ6921 hope you feel better soon

@Hummusanddipdip hope you feeling better. I know these hormones suck at the moment but sometimes crying helps
@Bims2019 sorry about the not so good news but at least they keepingban eye on it at least that's reassuring

buckingmad · 23/11/2023 20:45

@tinyracoon i didn’t drink raspberry leaf tea with my first but have started with this one. I’m 33+2 and think I’ve had maybe 5 or 6 cups. I got the hot tea one and it’s actually really tasty. So I don’t see any harm in trying!

I NEED my coffee in the morning so it’s nice being able to have a caffeine free hot drink in the afternoon or before bed. I hate decaf tea and coffee so it’s a good alternative and if it does help labour great and if it doesn’t ah well!
