Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

Movements are definitely getting more obvious and frequent here too. They're starting to be painful at times as well.

I think we'll try asda nappies at first because I usually shop there. We don't have aldi in NI unfortunately but I've heard they're supposed to be good. I think I'm the only person in the world who actually likes huggies wipes 😂they can rip taking them out of the packet if you're not careful but all the other wipes I've tried were so thin I felt like I was touching the poop!

FirstT1meMum · 26/11/2023 10:13

After a week of intense deep cleaning which was exhausting, poor DH just kept getting an updated to do list 🤣 it's finally the day of my baby shower!

Just finishing last bits this morning and decorating before we celebrate little lady. It's all been so worth it! (Bonus it's now ready for Christmas 🙈🤣)

MrsJ6921 · 26/11/2023 10:39

Does anyone know of any cold/decongestant OTC medication that we can have in pregnancy? I am literally dying this weekend and DH needs strict direction on what to get otherwise I might as well continue to feel rubbish.

Mummyme87 · 26/11/2023 11:14

@MrsJ6921 there isn’t any. Paracetamol regularly, hot drinks, try steaming your face with hot water and a towel over your head.

so not quite written my lists. Keep avoiding it 😂 but did do a load of washing, and just washing last batch of nappies and wipes. Off to Ikea aswell 😬

buckingmad · 26/11/2023 12:09

Got our baby stuff out. Moses basket is gross so that’s being binned. Car seat is fine, rocker could do with some tlc but think it’ll be ok. Managed to find the newborn insert for the car seat too! Pushchair chassis booked in for a professional clean next weekend. Feels like it’s coming together!

Hummusanddipdip · 26/11/2023 12:30

Still haven't packed my bags was on the agenda this morning, but I played with ds instead, much more fun 🤣 who knew duvet monsters were so hilarious (not easy to move around in when you e got a bowling ball on your front though...

Got a family party this afternoon, mum comes out of hospital today hopefully, so might do it tonight once ds is in bed 🤷‍♀️

On nappies we used kit and kin for ds, they were the only ones he seemed to fit in for the longest time!!!! He didn't grow much and was still in 6-9 month at almost 18 months. Even now he wear a lot of 2-3 years at 4 years old... poor thing doesn't have much hope of being tall with a 5ft mum and a 5ft 8 dad 🤣
This time I've got some aldi nappies because I've heard nothing but good stuff about them and we shop at aldi, so convenient too.

Booklover88 · 26/11/2023 16:53

Hi all, I’ve been a bit of a quiet member in here as I struggle to keep up with all the messages! Hope everyone is well.

I’m 35 weeks tomorrow so not long now! Just wondering what everyone else has done about sleeping bags/swaddles/gro bags/blankets? We’ve got a couple of love2dream swaddle things but wondering if I should buy some normal sleeping bags too? Any advice welcome!

flowerpot258 · 26/11/2023 17:11

Anyone else losing the plot at this point? I'm 32weeks. Already have an 18 month old toddler. I'm exhausted. In pain. Feel sick. I have GD so I've had to change my diet which isn't really a bad thing but it's just an extra thing to think about. I have pelvic girdle pain to the point that I can really walk more than 10mins. We went on a family outing yesterday and I had to borrow a mobility scooter so I could go as it involved loads of walking and I couldn't have went otherwise. Just want this over with! Feels like forever away especially with Christmas coming up too. I don't even have a birth plan in place yet and not due until 19th January Hmm

Mummyme87 · 26/11/2023 17:59

@flowerpot258 I hear you. It’s a real struggle. My boys are 9 and almost 6 so not the same as a toddler, take my hat off to mamas who can do toddlers and pregnancy/newborns. Have you seen anyone for your pelvic girdle pain? Physio referral can take a while and won’t fix it, osteopath/chiropractors are very good for this. Mine is pretty debilitating, but physio exercises are helpful. I’m struggling with walking because of that and my palpitations/shortness of breath. I’m not wishing the time away though because I’m sad this will be my last pregnancy and willing myself to enjoy it even though it’s hard!!!

I’ve done some more sorting today, sorted baby clothes drawers, washed last load of nappies/wipes, tidied spare room a bit more, cleared out my bedside drawers and dressing table. Also DH has dismantled his desk from when he WFH and computer screen set up so feel it’s slowly coming together.

I've got midwife appt tomorrow at 10am then cardiology appt at 3pm so need to fill the gap in between without going home.

suz2285 · 26/11/2023 19:08

@flowerpot258 yep I was in so much pain with my pelvis last week that I was so grumpy and fed up! I went to the chiropractor and honestly 20 mins of jiggling my back I thought no way that made any difference but it really did! It was so expensive and I'm going back tomorrow for a follow up but was worth it tbh! My hips were totally out of alignment and I was so sore, couldn't walk for more than 10 mins same as you

Tbh this week I've walked maybe a couple of times and it was maybe 15 mins max but wasn't sore like before and I can move so much easier! Was struggling with getting out of car and bed etc!

Anyway I also got a physio referral and the first thing is an online 'fitness' class thing where they discuss how to keep moving during pregnancy (helpful!) and then I've got to wait for another letter for a 1:1 appointment which can be anytime from now up until 6 weeks after birth 🙈😂 so yeah...

Luhou · 26/11/2023 19:12

Also struggling here. Ready to finish work now. Feel like I've over comitted myself for next few weeks too. Sorted the spare room/babies room today a bit and started to get my hospital bag ready so mentally feeling a bit more prepared. Just physically exhausted from that and entertaining my 3yo all day. Feel like she is getting very excited for babies arrival now though, which is sweet. She enjoyed helping me sort toys and bits for him today.

buckingmad · 26/11/2023 19:28

I’m physically in pain but mentally I feel great. I got all the sick bedding and towels washed plus my and DD clothes for the week (I refuse to do DH‘s), hoovered downstairs, made fajitas for dinner, DD is bathed and in bed and I am now in my freshly washed bed with I’m a celeb on, a bar of chocolate and my skincare routine all done.

1992H · 26/11/2023 19:32

I’m also knackered and done. Very ready to not be pregnant anymore. My older two are almost 6&almost 4 so should be easier but no. Had to carry the younger one kicking & screaming back to the car this morning, refused their lunch and got a load of attitude from
the elder one over eating.
then they’ve argued and rampaged around the house all afternoon. We then had a pipe come off in the utility/downstairs toilet which threw hot water all over, in which time whilst I was laid over appliances holding the pipe back on to try and control the chaos waiting for assistance from my dad-thankfully 10 mins from messaging to arriving, they emptied one of their wardrobes upstairs and pulled the shelves out. Caught them trying to use them like shields.

consequently I’ve now got some light bleeding on & off, a smashing headache and feel dire. So have left my husband to do bedtime and am
hiding downstairs infront of the fire waiting for dinner to be delivered from the Chinese. Can’t wait to have her here and feel myself again but slightly terrified at the concept of dealing with the two ferals I have in addition to a newborn. Least I can drink again then though!

Mummyme87 · 26/11/2023 20:55

My eldest has been an utter d*ck today. They were up and downstairs at 6am which has set them off on a bad start, we did the festive light trail and he just was a massive wind up the whole time, going out of his way to be naughty and get a reaction.
move got a really sore bump on the top upper left side. I think possibly I bruised it when I was trying to squeeze into my car the other day but when I walk it gets so sore. I’m now home with paracetamol and a warm wheat bag on it.

Lilothblos · 26/11/2023 21:06

Sorry to hear so many are struggling today! We are on the home stretch but that doesn’t make it any easier at the time does it.

@Booklover88 I’ve got a love2dream swaddle bag and a mori newborn swaddle bag for when baby first arrives, and then a mori sleeping bag and some John Lewis sleeping bags for when she’s big enough to fit in them (a mixture of vinted / hand me downs from a friend / Black Friday buys!)

RG9895 · 26/11/2023 23:09

Just marking my spot! Hope you are all okay, struggling to keep up with the posts lately. I can't wait to finish work! 4 weeks to go! X

Gremlin84 · 26/11/2023 23:46

So turns out I can’t lift anything slightly heavy, not even laundry baskets, without eliciting light spotting a couple of hours later. Sigh. That’s going to make baby prep much more difficult. Don’t want baby to come early, in fact relying on arrival being after Christmas, but it’s hard not being able to be my usual capable and self-sufficient self.

lilluce95 · 27/11/2023 07:30

Thank you for the thread x

lilluce95 · 27/11/2023 07:52

Sorry to hear everyone is struggling at the moment, we're definitely on the home stretch now though 😍 I'm like a couple of others where mentally I feel great but physically in pain and just feeling run down! 8 weeks to go for me! Xx

Luhou · 27/11/2023 08:36

Anybody elses sickness come back? This happened to me last time round. Came back towards the end 👎

suz2285 · 27/11/2023 08:59

@Luhou yeah i've def been feeling more nausea again, but was just putting it down to stomach being squashed tbh!

WitcheryDivine · 27/11/2023 09:15

Yes I’ve been throwing up a few times a week since about 32 weeks, tonnes of nausea and feeling sick rise in my mouth (sorry gross) as well. Doctor said it was the old relaxin acting on the digestion plus probably baby kicking me in the stomach. It absolutely sucks! Midwife suggested going out for a walk each night after dinner which a) is impractical a lot of the time b) doesn’t really help!!

Sorry others are feeling crap too. I’m now at the point where any heavy lifting or anything that involves being crunched up/bending just makes me feel awful. Husband is being pretty good at doing stuff under instruction but it does mean only half as much is getting done.

tinyracoon · 27/11/2023 09:52

@Luhou yes sometimes it feels like there's just no space for my dinner and it's like my body gives up trying to digest it and the only way is up 🤢

On a more positive note, I only have 14 more working days left and I am so so excited to finish - looking forward to leaving my PowerPoints and Teams messages behind and hopefully have some destress time before arrival of LO!

Sorry if you've all discussed this before, but is anyone planning a homebirth?

Onedayatatime24 · 27/11/2023 09:54

Another one feeling tired and done here! And I don't even have other kids to contend with...

We're busy every weekend until Christmas and I'm so tired that the thought of having to go and socialise on my days off work makes me want to cry. BUT it's all nice stuff with friends/family and I really want to make the most of our last Christmas just us two, so trying to find a balance between still enjoying stuff but also not pushing myself too much. Can't wait for work to be over too, been nothing but hassle and hard jobs for a few weeks now, nothing seems easy!

1992H · 27/11/2023 10:39

@tinyracoon i’m hoping for a homebirth this time. I had one with my second son and intend to continue with it for this baby. I assume you are planning a homebirth too?
