Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

@Matildahoney @tinyracoon @flowerpot258 I’m not going to lie the prospect of having a big baby is scary considering it’s my first. She has a larger tummy but the Sonographer kept saying it’s a sigh of a happy, healthy baby but I’m still cautious. I don’t have GD thankfully.

1992H · 24/11/2023 14:44

I also had a growth scan at 32+2, also predicted 4lb12 current, large Abdominal circumference. I’m not concerned, I had similar with my first two. One was 8lb 10 at 40+11, the other 7lb 13 at 40+3 and with my first I was encouraged to induce at 39 weeks as he was “huge” and with a high abdominal circumference, he was just long and thin, all feet. & still is. Second was all head. Massive giant head comparatively. Had to buy tiny baby clothes and size 0 nappies for the rest of him.

im certainly not concerned either way, a lot can change and they aren’t hugely accurate. Just a guide/give a trend over several scans.

tinyracoon · 24/11/2023 15:20

Oooh I didn't get any other info from the sonographer about my growth scan other than the predicted weight plotted on the growth chart - no info about different measurements.

Is there anywhere I can find the full scan report? I'm on BadgerNotes and can't seem to see anything..

MrsJ6921 · 24/11/2023 15:33

@1992H thank you for sharing! This has made me feel a bit better!

1992H · 24/11/2023 15:45

@MrsJ6921 you are welcome! It’s so hard to gauge when to worry-but I wouldn’t let it ruin your next few weeks 😊

Mummyme87 · 24/11/2023 15:47

Saw physio today. She’s given me another belt and shown me how it should be used, also said you shouldn’t wear them all the time, to put it on when you need some relief. We did some exercises. She didn’t have any bright ideas for night time apart from do the exercises before bed to loosen the sore bits.

my growth scan is at 36wks. I’ll take it with a pinch of salt.

suz2285 · 24/11/2023 16:03

@Inmydreams88 I'm not even contemplating going near the scales I know it'll make me feel awful and why do
I need to know?

@Lou98x I haven't taken DH to any midwife appointments, most of them are boring tbh! But we are doing a hypnobirthing class together and have watched some online videos about baby care and things like that, so it depends. I do think it's good for them to understand what to expect

suz2285 · 24/11/2023 16:04

@Mummyme87 I got my physio referral though and it's for an online class to discuss 'fitness in pregnancy' which is apparently about how to keep moving etc, then it says I'll be able to make a 1;1 appointment after that from now up to 6 weeks after birth

Considering I'll be 34 weeks before I even have the online class I'm not sure how much help that will be! Glad I went to the chiropractor now tbh!! 😂

Luhou · 24/11/2023 17:37

@flowerpot258 scan at 32 weeks and was measuring 4lb 9oz.

Although they were wildely inaccurate with my first. So wouldn't worry to much.

Anybody got swollen feet? Should I be worried?

Bims2019 · 24/11/2023 17:40

@Gremlin84 I've had heartburn for the past few weeks so I feel your pain. Never really had it before either but it seems to enjoy appearing around bedtime. Rennie's are my new best friend, if you haven't got any yet would recommend!

Had my first follow up scan after scare of low amniotic fluid on Wednesday, it is now back in normal range (the low end but fine) and the test for early signs of preeclampsia came back negative. So relieved! Next scan on Monday now, think I might just move into the hospital at this rate 😂

I really want to start feeling Christmasy as well but it's just not happening yet. Maybe I'll feel a bit more over the weekend! Does anyone have nice plans? After this week's scare we are doing birth plans and hospital bags.

Dannic2018 · 24/11/2023 17:43

@flowerpot258 I had a scan about the low lying placenta at 32 weeks and she’s measuring 4lb 12 oz but for my graph based on my previous 3 births she’s 50th centile so just right. Therefore if it’s accurate she will be 8lb ish. I predict the higher end of 7lb as I don’t feel like I’ll go over like I did for my previous 3 weirdly. Her head at 20 weeks was on the 8th centile now it’s the 50th but her AC was 85th centile but as the consultant said they are easy to squish, he only worries about heads and shoulders. My biggest baby at 9lb 3 was no worse than the other 2 so try not to worry

PartRadish · 24/11/2023 17:44

@Bims2019 Thats great news!

Same here really on the weekend plans. Hospital bag is top of the very long list of things I need to get sorted this weekend. I think I've got most stuff to go in it now, just need to organise it all, do some washing and actually pack the thing!

Growth scan wise mine have ended up on odd weeks instead of even because the Consultant did an impromptu first one at 25 weeks. So can't say for 32 weeks but at 31+2 she was estimated to be 3lb8oz. Next one is on Thursday at 33+2.

FirstT1meMum · 24/11/2023 17:57

@flowerpot258 I also had a scan at 32+4 and was measuring 4lb 11oz. Have heard they can be wildly inaccurate though!

Had a manic week at work and just have such a can't be arsed attitude now but we have so much to sort as it's my baby shower on Sunday and there's still a to do list to work through! I'm really looking forward to it but having it at home sounded like such a good idea 2 and half months ago 🤣🙈

Lilothblos · 24/11/2023 18:31

Just had our growth scan, 4lb 9 oz at 33 weeks and looking healthy apparently! It was ruthlessly efficient, she didn’t even show us the screen! But I guess that’s not what it’s for and I’m just pleased she’s doing well.

TunnocksTCake · 24/11/2023 19:37

Ooh all these growth scans getting me excited! I only have one at 36 weeks which feels a bit pointless but I'll take it!

I've had an awful day today, I have Fridays off with dd whos 3 and she's at the stage of wanting to play with me alll the time and I just can't do what she needs anymore - like pretend role play kind of stuff! I feel like I'm letting her down so much at the moment and she's regressing with her potty training and just being a bit of a madam which I know is because of the baby. So hard to manage when im hardly sleeping. Tried to get upstairs for a cry earlier and only made it halfway up the stairs before my bump hurt too much so ended up just sitting there in tears!

Any tips from others who also have days alone with older kids? What do you do with them all day?!

Ttcdcno1 · 24/11/2023 19:59

I can’t remember if I marked my place or not 👍

Luhou · 24/11/2023 20:45

@TunnocksTCake I have a 3 year old and feel exactly the same. Everything she wants me to do is role play games on the floor.

Crafts are good as a planned activity up the table. Just encouraging DD to help mummy with her jobs like hanging washing out, making lunch. She loves being my little helper.

Plenty of playdates, if she's got another child to play with she doesn't ask me to play!

DH spends lots of time doing games and puzzles with her when he can.

I just explain it all to her, then offer her another activity like reading a book together.

Have you got any support? Neighbour has started walking dog for me a couple of times a week for me.

Luhou · 24/11/2023 20:46

Also I try do stuff like playdates in the mornings as I know I ache more in the afternoon. So if she's tired out after a busy morning... she will be happy to watch a christmas film or do something more chill around the time I need to relax.

Lightningrain · 24/11/2023 21:51

Has anyone else that’s consultant led not had any mention yet of the actual birth? I see a few people have c sections booked now or confirmation of inductions. I’m 34 weeks now so it seems like it’ll be discussed at 36 weeks.

I’m consultant led due to it being an IVF pregnancy, although have just been put on low dose blood pressure tablets as I’ve had borderline/high readings when they’ve taken it at the hospital (normal when the community midwife does it so I’m a bit concerned about it going too low). I’m guessing being on medication will prevent me having a water birth but didn’t get chance to ask as the consultant gave the prescription to the midwives after they took my readings and I didn’t get to see him again. I had a blood test for pre eclampsia which was clear and haven’t had any other symptoms but they’ve put me down for weekly blood pressure checks just to be on the safe side. I imagine the birth centre will be a no for me now as well even though it’s attached to the labour ward.

I’m another one who hasn’t dared weigh myself. I’ll just have to worry about that afterwards! I’m sure I have put on a lot more than I should but spent the first trimester eating beige carbs to get rid of the nausea so it’s hardly surprising!

Mushroo · 24/11/2023 22:38

@Lightningrain me!

Im consultant led due to gestational diabetes. All I’ve been told is that if everything stays ok on growth scans, and I stay diet controlled I can go up to 40+6. Nothing has been booked for then though…

I have my 36 week appointment next week so I’m hoping to find out more then.

I would ideally like midwife led unit, but my main goal is avoiding an induction ward. Would rather have a c section.

Mummyme87 · 24/11/2023 22:38

@Lightningrain high BP is generally out of guidelines for birth centre but doesn’t mean it’s off the cards. Water is know to reduce BP so can be beneficial. If you are genuinely wanting to use this ask the questions.
i dont have an IOL booked yet, I’ve just made the decision myself, will be booked at 36wk consultant appt. iVF on it’s on your often wouldn’t see a consultant again after early pregnancy so would just be midwife led. That’s trust dependent

Hummusanddipdip · 24/11/2023 22:41

@Lightningrain I'm not even sure if I'm consultant led anymore. I saw her Wednesday for my 32 week growth scan, she checked I was still talking aspirin, checked growth chart and babies estimated weight, asked if I had any concerns and sent me on my way. I have another scan at 36 weeks, I guess then is when they decide if they'll induce me? But at my last growth scan (28 weeks) they booked this consultant appointment too, but that wasn't mentioned this time 🤷‍♀️ so I'm guessing she's signed me off as baby is on track?

Pretty sure I won't make the 36 week appt though.

Baby is on track at the moment, 4lbs and around 50th percentile. But then I have no idea what ds was like at this point as I didn't have anything after my 20 week scan and my bump measured fine at all my midwife appts...

No advice @TunnocksTCake ds started school in September, half term dh had time off too, but the 1:1 time was a novelty as we don't get it as often anymore. And I was obviously a lot less pregnant then. I have to say the children I work with, as much as I adore them, they're getting harder... especially the getting down on the floor to tie laces or to work through fallings out and general first aid...

Bims2019 · 24/11/2023 22:51

@Lightningrain I've been told that we'll discuss it at my 36 week appointment as well, nothing booked in yet

LittleAlien24 · 25/11/2023 06:51

@Lightningrain i know im in a different country but my ob hasn't booked me anything yet. I asked her 2 weeks ago that when are we gonna book my csection. She said end of December (im due 13 January) that she wants to see how everything is going. I think she's trying to do the csection as late as possible but wants to see how my cervix is holding up

Im just so tired, physically and mentally. This waking up 7am 6x a week, then all day walking up and down of a long set of stairs plus doing work is not helping. Then when builders go around 5.30 we still cleaning after that for hours. I just feel that im at my breaking point 😔
