Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

@PartRadish good luck today!!

Hope scan goes well @Mummyme87

LittleAlien24 · 19/12/2023 07:11

@Hummusanddipdip looks like it's not gonna come through 😒 they are meant to be here at 8am and i just got a text that the young lad is sick and not coming in. They have my whole living room blocked off so we can't do the fire and we absolutely freezing.
He's coming home until march. Then depending how im doing he might be going to work for about 2 weeks and then back home until end of april

Hummusanddipdip · 19/12/2023 07:14

Good luck on removal @PartRadish hopefully your 7 year old will be absolutely fine with things and take the changes in his stride.

Hopefully the scan goes well @Mummyme87

Oh @LittleAlien24 what a pain!! Can they not send someone else? They must be aware of how difficult a situation they're leaving you in? Especially with no fire and it being cold!!!
That sounds like a good stretch and 2 weeks out then back is much nicer than only seeing eachother for 2 weeks in 7 months!

TunnocksTCake · 19/12/2023 07:26

Good luck with the stitch removal @PartRadish

I'm on the same night wakings as you @Hummusanddipdip
Also getting the awful heartburn and really hoping he drops down before Xmas so I can have a decent lunch, there's no space at the moment 😂

Had strepb results back and they are negative so that's good though it being so transient they were still saying I should have antibiotics if possible... not sure what the point in the test was if that's the case but never mind, takes the pressure off a bit.

Still in 2 minds about having a section here, leaning more towards yes and wondering if I should get it in motion in case he comes early...

After being fine all year I've finally got the lurgy, such a sore throat and sneezing all over the place. No cough thankfully, not sure my pelvic floor could take it! Luckily DD at nursery next 3 days so I can rest up ahead of the weekend.

FirstT1meMum · 19/12/2023 07:28

Good luck today @PartRadish hope all goes well! ❤️

LittleAlien24 · 19/12/2023 07:32

@PartRadish good luck
@Hummusanddipdip i actually don't think that the lad is sick. One days he told me he hasn't got paid not even for the last job they did here and excuse was that i haven't paid them even tho I've everything paid. I messaged the boss back that why don't he come himself but no reply, again.
Well it's only good until end of april, then he's going back for unknown time because we want to sell the house so i can move back home.

Im literally sitting and crying here that my poor girls have to sit in a freezing house over Christmas and i can't do anything about it. The stress these cowboys have put me through over the last 5 or 6 weeks is unreal, im surprised i haven't gone into early labour.

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 08:00

@TunnocksTCake we don’t re swab for previous GBS, and only give IV antibiotics if previous baby affected by it. Seems a bit silly to swab you then say, have antibiotics anyway

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 08:10

@sashastuck I'm going to ask about your situation when I’m in today. On your scan, what are the findings? Can you post a pic of the centile bit on the first page where it gives AC, HC, BPD and EFW. Just that bit, nothing else. On here, or PM or FB

TunnocksTCake · 19/12/2023 08:20

@Mummyme87 thanks that's what I thought... I only got swabbed because I had it pre pregnancy (just before) but seems silly to swab and still give antibiotics!!

Salamander91 · 19/12/2023 08:29

Good luck @PartRadish hope it goes smoothly

sashastuck · 19/12/2023 13:04

@Mummyme87 bless you, thank you!

Due January - Part 9!
Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 13:43

@sashastuck ive spoken to DAU midwife and she said she will find out for you as agreed 38+5 is very late, at least for a conversation about plan going forward. She said can you ring her after 4 and ask to speak to Ines.

soooo baby is big again here, estimated 3.5kg at 36+3, on 93rd centile, head and abdominal circumference over 95th centile. Joy. Fairly predictable. Fluid normal Though. Seeing consultant in an hour and also referral to diabetes team which seems pointless also given time frames but ya know

buckingmad · 19/12/2023 14:05

So I’m having my first sweep next Wednesday! Which works quite well as my mum works Wednesday mornings so if it did kick things off she is off work till the following Tuesday afternoon.

Fundal height once again measuring small but she coudknt refer me for a scan as it’s been less than 2 weeks since my last one or something. So going to measure me again at my sweep and refer me then if still measuring small. Luckily I’m not anxious about baby growing as I always measure small or I’d be pretty pissed off 😂

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 14:21

@buckingmad seems mad to keep referring for scans when they’re all normal. Also if baby is engaging the fundal height will measure smaller. Doesn’t seem particularly cost effective

buckingmad · 19/12/2023 14:40

@Mummyme87 i know! Every single scan I’ve measured bang on 50th. I’m 5ft 2 and I’m really slim. I carry neat, was the same with my DD. You’d think they would just accept this is how I carry babies!

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 15:08

Induction all booked for 6th Jan at 39weeks. Even though was my plan all along it suddenly feels very real!

sashastuck · 19/12/2023 15:11

@Mummyme87 thank you, I really appreciate that. I know you might not see this in time but which number do I call? Last time I called a diabetes number it was automated asking me to leave my name. Should I call mat helpline?

Sounds like you’re in a similar boat as me regarding baby’s size and measurements!!

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 15:25

@sashastuck day assessment. Should be on your notes, but otherwise 02087250863

sashastuck · 19/12/2023 15:39

@Mummyme87 Doh, sorry, you did say DAU. I forgot what it stood for!

Exciting that you’ve got your induction date!! I want mine now lol. 39 weeks for me is my birthday🙊

Mummyme87 · 19/12/2023 15:39

@sashastuck yeah I’m not surprised by the scan, I just grow big babies with potentially a touch of diabetes aT the end. I’m not sure how I feel about doing a week of glucose monitoring if I’m honest. I’ll see when I get an appt come through.
This was my centiles 😬😝

Feeling pretty chuffed with myself today. Managed to get a last minute hair cut rather than having to wait until january, and I managed to do basically all the Christmas shopping last night thanks to the power of Amazon Prime (although it did mean staying up until midnight as that was my only spare time) and got the baby bit of birth bag packed. Just my bit to do now, but that's harder because only my comfy things fit me now and if they're packed I won't have anything to wear 😆

Thats my issue too, I only have one pair of maternity pjs and I'm wearing them every night and two pairs of leggings and jumpers that I alternative between so I can't pack them in my hospital bag otherwise I'd have nothing to wear! When I go into labour I'll have to stick a wash on quickly before leaving 😂

JaffaCake123 · 19/12/2023 16:38

I have got Cholestasis again, the dreaded itching started a while back and had bloods taken last week and Bile Acids are 67. More bloods taken today and if levels are still rising then will be booked in for an induction after 37 weeks, so around New Year!
Really didn't want an induction but the itching is really getting me down, as is constant and I can't sleep. Also worrying about my levels shooting up and the baby getting poorly.
Sorry for the moan but my plans for relaxing and enjoying the last few weeks of pregnancy with my DS are going out the window.
Also any tips for dealing with the itch? I had it in my last pregnancy but was not this bad!

Luhou · 19/12/2023 16:46

Absolutely struggling through my last few days in work. Last day tomorrow. I'm Absolutely exhausted! Feel like baby has dropped overnight. Feel like he's between my knees at this stage.

PartRadish · 19/12/2023 16:55

Stitch is out! It was a little tricky because it had become slightly embedded, as I suspected 🙈 But thankfully with gas and air Consultant managed to get it out without us having to go back to theatre. I was really shocked at how thick the thread actually is. I'd been picturing thick cotton, its more like a shoe lace! 😳

All good on the monitor afterwards so home now. Back for a growth scan Thursday but all being well there we are essentially a 'normal' pregnancy now 😊
