Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

@Sambeaumont last few days have had pains at my back, lower belly plus tightening. Im putting it down to body getting ready or me being stressed.
@buckingmad sorry to hear you had a bad day. Hope you get comfy and feel better

@Mummyme87 im with you on busy week.

Tomorrow 1h40min drive one way for my daughter to get tattoos plus shopping, Tuesday builders back again and going for Christmas food shopping with one of the daughters, Wednesday builders, baby nonstress test, ob appointment and shopping, Thursday 5hour drive one way to pick up my passport, Friday 1h40min drive one way to pick up DH and then home cleaning and prepping for Christmas.

1992H · 17/12/2023 19:52

Hectic week here too like many others!
growth scan tomorrow morning, followed by nipping to get a screen protector and case for my sons iPad so that can be wrapped. Dog groomers, nursery play, lashes and brows Tuesday. Before helping the class with walking to church for their Christingle service. Midwife Wednesday, Costco and present swapping with my parents Thursday and then the youngest finishes, homebirth appointment to get that all finalised Friday at home. Visiting Father Christmas at the farm on Saturday then it’s bloody Christmas already, and 37 weeks so she can crack on and appear earth side so I can chase about with the boys as normal rather than being this achey, slow version. (I wish-they were both late 😭 I really want this one to be a bit sooner though!)

IzzyMas · 17/12/2023 19:54

Christmas & late pregnancy shouldn't come together. Life's full.

Hummusanddipdip · 17/12/2023 20:02

Yup, another busy week here:
Panto with school tomorrow and Christmas lunch, Tuesday is class Christmas parties and staff secret santa exchange (last day of term) Weds I have midwife after school drop off (ds last day at school Weds) got all present wrapping to do before I go in for my last growth scan in the afternoon, this is the one where they decide if they'll induce me between Christmas and New Year. Thursday we're going to see Santa, also my brother and his fiancé come home for Christmas, Friday I'm sure we have something to do, but I've no idea what 🤦‍♀️ dh said there is something but it's beyond him too 🤣

Need to do some cleaning and shopping at some point. The house is upside down with the garage conversion being done (can't remember if I updated that we managed to get builders in after the last lot cancelled) there is literally no space anywhere and ds insists on bringing toys down to the livingroom to play with... fine except he is adamant that he is still playing with what he already has downstairs 🙄 can't wait to get the playroom done. We haven't done a food shop in 2 weeks and seem to be just picking bits up every day 😳 so not what we need to be doing...

Lilothblos · 17/12/2023 20:18

Another one here finding it full on preparing for Christmas and being heavily pregnant! We’re hosting both sets of parents for Christmas and starting to wonder if we’ve taken on too much! 36+2 today and still haven’t packed the hospital bag, installed the car seat or set up the crib. Finally wrote down birth preferences though so that’s something!

I’ve also had the period cramp feelings today, very mild, good to hear it’s normal and others have felt similar.

Bims2019 · 17/12/2023 20:30

@Sambeaumont some back pain over the past few weeks but mainly if I've been walking, it's more hip pain for me at the moment. And have had some dull cramps now and then, only 37+5 so hoping it's not labour just yet!

@buckingmad it's rubbish when you can't get comfy, especially with heartburn. I've been emotional today too, cried while making dinner because we didn't have one of the ingredients 😅 hope tomorrow is a better day and you get to relax.

@IzzyMas this sounds very familiar. And if it's not the musical bladder then, just for a change, it's a tap dance on the old ribs instead.

@Mummyme87 enjoy getting your hair done! Sounds like a busy week, hope you'll then have some time to relax around Christmas!

We're not prepared at all so I have a few things to do this week. Have got a tree but not decorated it yet, think it's going to be quite a minimalist affair for us this year 😂

@LittleAlien24 so glad you get to see your DH soon 😊

IzzyMas · 17/12/2023 20:33

Bims2019, I'm carrying her low, so apparently I get the bladder fandango 😫

tinyracoon · 17/12/2023 20:40

Hope everyone is doing well!

.... 36 weeks tomorrow and I cannot stop cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom. Not sure if it's nesting or if it's because the smell of lemon cleaning spray is my newest craving. Could do with cleaning the rest of the house but seem to be stuck on kitchen and bathroom on repeat 🙈 anyone else???

Salamander91 · 17/12/2023 21:00

Thankfully I'm done with Christmas shopping/wrapping etc so in for a relatively quiet week... apart from the whole having a baby thing on Wednesday 🙈 feels crazy and chaotic having a baby 5 days before Christmas lol

EL27 · 17/12/2023 21:28

I'm 37+2 today also getting a lot of back pains and also another symptom which i was just frantically googling - think I'm experiencing the 'lightening crotch'? Anyone else have this feels like a shooting pain up my vagina 😳 had it a few times today, don't know if it nessasarily means labour is near?but its not pleasant stops me in my tracks!

Has anyone else not done all their Xmas shopping yet? I just did a bunch today and am exhausted and still not done. 😩 I never usually leave it this late but pregnancy/ getting baby stuff ready has been preoccupying my mind lately.

FirstT1meMum · 17/12/2023 21:32

@EL27 we've done zero christmas shopping yet! I've never felt so disorganised for Christmas! Hoping we can get some bits ordered soon, I keep asking DH to look as I literally do not have the brain power!

Last week of work for me this week 🥳 whilst it will be busy I'm determined to slow down and enjoy it with the children and allow myself to watch the film with them and join in the Christmas activities rather than working through my to do list (which can frankly do one!)

Been feeling very tired this weekend, not sure if it's the stress of Thursday and Friday, being 37 weeks pregnant or starting the labetalol and my body adjusting but I can't seem to make it through the day without a nap somewhere!

Matildahoney · 17/12/2023 21:55

@FirstT1meMum I think the naps are a 37 week thing! I'm 37+3 today and have napped the last 3 days! Although not been sleeping properly either at night.
Growth scan tomorrow, call with the consultant Weds to see when they're going to induce me!

lucya66 · 17/12/2023 22:30

I’m 38 weeks today and after consistent constipation for several months, I’ve had the infamous “clear out” the last two days. Wondering if this is the start of early labour or something I ate.

Got back pains when walking dog but subsided and not come back when I’m resting. 3 micro naps a day, now too.

RG9895 · 17/12/2023 22:55

Hope you are all doing okay! Had a brief skim as been struggling to keep up. Totally feel you all on being stressed heavily pregnant right on top of Christmas! My sleep is AWFUL, I am up so much in the night and can't lay in as my body gets sore in bed for a while

Last week of work next week and 37 weeks on Tuesday! I cant believe how fast its gone 🥹

So ready now, finally managed to finish cleaning and gutting everything out and have installed the car seat and bags are in the car!

Also put our next2me up and I can't stop staring at it thinking she will be in there so soon...

Getting bad lightening crotch and period pains here too!

Has anyone started to collect colostrum? I tried today and got absolutely nothing, I watched videos on how to do it so think I am doing it right. Anyone else struggling or have any tips?

Salamander91 · 17/12/2023 22:57

37+4 here and also having to nap the last week or two 😅 I fell asleep sat upright on the sofa at like 10am on Friday 🙈

Hummusanddipdip · 18/12/2023 03:55

@RG9895 I find having warm breasts helps, so generally just after having a hot shower works for me, or putting a hot water bottle on my chest for a few minutes first. I've also found rather than trying to collect in a syringe, it's easier to sterilise a small pot and express into that and then collect the colostrum that way.

I really struggled to feed ds, especially as he had "a great latch" "was gaining weight" etc but I was in pain and engorged, I remember at ds heel prick session just crying, the midwife used hot towels to try and get things going, hooked me up to the hospital machine and said to try lettuce or cabbage leaves too? To be honest, I gave up after 2 weeks and expressed for 6 months, I don't want to repeat that.

I got kicked in the ribs so hard yesterday it made my eyes water and I saw stars... anyone else had that yet?

MrsJ6921 · 18/12/2023 06:54

I’ve spent since Thursday evening in an out of triage with high BP! On Friday night I got admitted to the Antenatal ward and medicated but luckily got discharged on Saturday afternoon. But had to be medicated again last night but my BP came down enough for me to spend one last night at home before being induced at 11AM this morning.

What a weekend but definitely ready to meet Baby J now.

Lightningrain · 18/12/2023 06:55

@RG9895 I tried to get some colostrum for the first time on Saturday and also didn’t manage a drop. I had a bath, watched a couple of ‘how to’ videos but after quite a while trying on both sides gave up. One of the things I read said to try doing it little and often as it can be a struggle to begin with. I haven’t had another go but might try again today.

Flossiepot · 18/12/2023 06:55

Good luck today @MrsJ6921 - hoping to get my date for Elective C today 😳
Can't believe we're all coming to the end now.

Flossiepot · 18/12/2023 06:57

@RG9895 - I was the same a few days ago. Got a teeny tiny amount on Saturday thinking I would probably give up and then last night I filled a whole syringe!!

buckingmad · 18/12/2023 07:13

baby hasn’t been as active as usual so I’m going to ring and see if I can go in once I drop DD off at nursery.

Obviously I wouldn’t be able to actually relax on my first proper day of mat leave!

Also with everyone on the naps, definitely a 37 week thing!

Mummyme87 · 18/12/2023 07:19

Good luck for your induction today @MrsJ6921

FirstT1meMum · 18/12/2023 07:21

Good luck today @MrsJ6921 hope all goes well!

Hummusanddipdip · 18/12/2023 07:49

Good luck @MrsJ6921 will be thinking of you at 11.

Hopefully everything is OK @buckingmad it is typical, first day and no relax allowed 🤦‍♀️

Lilothblos · 18/12/2023 07:51

Hope all goes well today @MrsJ6921 and you get to meet your baby very soon!

@RG9895 I’ve tried colostrum harvesting for 3 days now and no luck either!
