Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry to hear about your mum, you and your mum come first take the time off and don’t feel guilty!

Hummusanddipdip · 08/12/2023 23:15

Thank you for your kind messages and advice. I'm going to send my head teacher a message tomorrow asking if I could have a meeting with her Monday and try to explain things to her (my mum's news is sadly one of several awful things that have happened since mid October)

I'm going to talk about self certifying for at least a few days to give myself some breathing space and then be there for the end of term (unless baby decides to show up) because I'd like to see the children off for the Christmas break.

Mummyme87 · 09/12/2023 06:28

@Hummusanddipdip when is last day of term? Definitely have a few days at least. Be kind to yourself, but in understand wanting to see the term out

I had an awful night sleep which is going to make for an even more challenging last day at work.

buckingmad · 09/12/2023 06:51

@Hummusanddipdip sorry to hear your news. I think a few days is a very good idea and then take it from there.

We had DH’s Christmas do last night. I made it to 10pm then drove myself home (he’s army so was at the Officers Mess which is next door to home essentially) and left him to walk back later with others. He was tipsy but ok.

Wake up at 1am and he’s in the dogs bed, dog is in bed with me. DD woke up at 2ish so I’ve been in with her since. I’m not expecting much use out of him today! Luckily my parents are here so he’s off the hook. This can be his lost hoorah for a long time now!

am3017 · 09/12/2023 06:51

@Mummyme87 good luck for your last day at work, hopefully you’ll manage to get through not too exhausted then can have a well deserved break!

After only getting 3 hours of sleep on the ward on Thursday night I was so happy to be back in my own bed last night…I’ve woken up so early feeling nauseous though

lucya66 · 09/12/2023 07:41

Morning! I’m another with insomnia I wake in the night and feel very alert. I’ve also had cramps in my leg and lots of needing a wee.

we have a baby first aid class today.

im 37 weeks tomorrow so going to buy some dates today, I think.

Hummusanddipdip · 09/12/2023 08:26

Thanks. @Mummyme87 the 19th, so not too long. Hope your last day is uneventful and easy!

Yes to the insomnia! My joints ache, literally all of them hips, knees, elbows, shoulders even my fingers were hurting this morning. I'm assuming it's the relaxin kicking in? @lucya66 oh god the leg cramps are horrible, I think someone said on an earlier thread drink loads of water before bed because it'll be a hydration issue? It has helped me, so maybe worth trying, but an actual pain with the needing a wee because it'll add to that 🤦‍♀️

TunnocksTCake · 09/12/2023 09:09

@Hummusanddipdip sorry to hear about your mum and general awful time, glad you have a plan in mind and hope your boss is sympathetic.

@Mummyme87 happy last day at work! It will soon be over and you can have daily naps, just imagine!

I've had insomnia for the last 2 weeks, wake up pretty much every day at 2am and awake til 5:30 then have half an hour before DD jumps on me! I've just accepted it and read my book in bed. Been an expensive kindle month!

Also super constipated so on the old fybogel joy of joys 🙄

Dd was randomly sick 4 times last night, lay down in bed and then ran to the loo which is a first, usually it's a change all the bedding and give her a bath situation but none of it went on the sheets! Little wins.

Magnesium is supposed to be good for
Cramp

Dannic2018 · 09/12/2023 09:35

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry to hear about your mum, sending love.

happy last day @Mummyme87 it’s a strange but lovely feeling to think I’m now finished work till September 2024 but very much needed.

we had ds in bed with us all night, very unsettled and snotty again so had a rubbish night sleep, hubby went downstairs at 4am feeling unwell, that’s what happens when you eat something that I told him not too 🤣

Got loads to do today, need kitchen finished and start getting utility room tidy then every other to do list so I can finally start relaxing and enjoying these last few weeks!

TunnocksTCake · 09/12/2023 11:01

Bumpdate @ 36 weeks, feels much lower than it looks, didn't realise he was still so high!

Due January - Part 9!
WitcheryDivine · 09/12/2023 15:36

Out in town and getting quite bad crampy pains in lower abdomen. I’ve taken a couple of paracetamol but this is nothing to worry about right?

Luhou · 09/12/2023 16:02

@WitcheryDivine I was exactly the same out shopping yesterday. I think it's muscular. Parcacetomal is good but more likely a sign you've done enough walking. Take it easy!

Salamander91 · 09/12/2023 16:22

@WitcheryDivine I felt the same on Friday after the school run. Have a rest and a drink if you might be dehydrated because I definitely find myself feeling crampy if I'm dehydrated too.

sashastuck · 09/12/2023 17:41

@Mummyme87 HAPPY LAST SHIFT!

@Hummusanddipdip sorry I didn’t catch your message earlier - really sorry to hear about you mum. I know you havent had it easy, please do take the time you need, you and baby come before work every time. Xx

1992H · 09/12/2023 17:53

@Hummusanddipdip sorry to hear you’ve more bad news. Take some time & put you and baby first x

Mummyme87 · 09/12/2023 18:47

1hr left to go! Shit show here, no bloody break. Just inhaled chips and gravy. Happy last day to me 🥴
very sore bump, but in good news baby is head down 👌🏻😊

FirstT1meMum · 09/12/2023 19:28

@Hummusanddipdip so sorry to hear your news. Hope you managed to sort a few days off...definitely think it's needed for you and baby then spend the last couple of days with the children in school❤️

Dannic2018 · 09/12/2023 20:32

Hi all
I’ve had thrush all the way through it’ll settle a week if I’m lucky with a pessary then I get it back so when I saw the consultant he’s prescribed me this. Obviously he would know if it was unsafe but the leaflet says not to take when pregnant?

Due January - Part 9!
sashastuck · 09/12/2023 21:29

@Dannic2018 I had read not to take this whilst pregnant as well

am3017 · 09/12/2023 21:58

@Dannic2018 is that an oral medication? I have had thrush the majority of the time so far too and have only ever been prescribed pessarys/ creams as apparently it’s all that can be given, I get a course of 7 days at a time…however if it’s an Ob consultant you would think they wouldn’t prescribe if it wasn’t allowed

Hummusanddipdip · 09/12/2023 22:33

@Dannic2018 could you call the mat helpline for advice? I found them quite helpful when I had thrush, but my GP receptionist when I called back after getting the text said there was nothing on my file (they'd used the technical name)
Maybe tell them your consultant has prescribed but you just want to double check as you've read then info leaflet and it says not to?

How was the end of your shift @Mummyme87 hopefully it calmed down if only for that hour?

Sent my head teacher a message this afternoon asking if there is capacity to talk Monday as I don't want to just turn up in the office when I know she'll probs be rather busy with end of term stuff. She hasn't responded yet, but I'm sure I'll hear something before 8 Monday morning.

Dannic2018 · 09/12/2023 23:52

Thank you @Mummyme87 I’ve got 3 tablets and he said to take 1 every 3 days and that should sort it out ?

I know @Hummusanddipdip @sashastuck @am3017 I didn’t think I could and I didn’t realise until I read the leaflet it doesn’t sound good but if it clears it up and he is my consultant and a older experienced man surely he wouldn’t have given me it. Just fed up or never ending pessaries and cream and only getting a few days relief 🥲

Mummyme87 · 10/12/2023 00:22

Yeah I've seen women take it for chronic thrush. He’s an obstetric consultant. He would only prescribe if safe.

ive been in bed for nearly an hour and im propped upright. Just so much pain no matter what position. Currently very lower abdomen radiating into my thighs. I’m fine sitting on the sofa but as soon as I’m in bed I’m in dreadful pain. 😣

am3017 · 10/12/2023 06:05

@Dannic2018 i know the feeling it’s horrible😢 so fingers crossed it’ll give you some relief. I think it’s been the pessaries that’s caused my waters to break prematurely as I had done one Wednesday night then Thursday morning was when it happened, it’s been on going pessaries for months for me now!

@Mummyme87 Hope you managed to get some sleep😩

I have tossed and turned all night, between being uncomfortable with fluid constantly coming away and the anxiety I have…didn’t feel baby move much yesterday and when he did it was prompted by me pressing on him so will be phoning triage this morning
