Couldn't see another and the old one is full. Will copy the list from the last one, the tags are really temperamental though and it definitely has quite a few people missing sorry 🙈

I think I'm carrying low too as lots of pressure in my pelvis/bum(?!) in the last couple of weeks (currently 34+3) so hoping that means he's still head down. I'm getting a lot more lower back pain and general hip stiffness after sitting down for too long now, definitely feel like he's growing big in there!

Also felt the strongest movements I've ever had last night. Not sure if he's just stretched his legs out or something... It literally felt like little feet kicking against my skin just beneath my ribs. It's my first so wasn't expecting his movements to be so intense and obvious? Like I expected jolts/jabs but not to feel his legs full on moving beneath my skin?! I probs sound so naive to you experienced mums! 😂

Mummyme87 · 06/12/2023 11:53

@suz2285 we are travelling over Christmas, will come back at 37+4. Very unlikely to deliver that early, most babies are after 39weeks even with all the ‘signs’. It’s all just normal 3rd trimester symptoms.

im hoping some of my aches and pains will reduce once I stop working. It’s horrendous, can hardly bloody move!! Then baby decides it’s a good idea to start kicking around my pelvis and lower abdomen, bloody turn around!!!

PartRadish · 06/12/2023 11:54

@Onedayatatime24 This is my fourth and the big movements still take me by surprise and make me think 'what are they doing in there!?' Its never got any less bizarre/amazing/unbelievable, to me anyway.

Ah I have some good photos and videos from first pregnancy of a very obvious foot sticking out under my skin. I’m a petite build so you can literally see her moving even under jumpers.

I’ve just had a feeling from early on that I’m going to deliver on the earlier side. I’m 35+1 now so I’d like another 2 weeks staying put but then she can come. Originally I said not over Christmas but I’m so fed up she can come whenever 😂 I’m not one that enjoys pregnancy. I’ve always wanted 3 but I think I’ll need a fair few years break before doing this again 😂

PartRadish · 06/12/2023 12:21

@suz2285 I've got an appointment in 5 days (at 34+6) for them to give me an appointment date for removal. Apparently it should be around 7-10 days after that though, just depending on when the Consultant can fit me in I think. Bit nervous that it's going to hurt now but my friend told me she was offered gas and air for her removals so hoping our trust offer it too 🤞

suz2285 · 06/12/2023 13:35

@Mummyme87 good to know! I'll be back at 37+4 also! I'm pretty sure I'll be overdue tbh 😂 I don't know how you're managing on your feet all the time! I'm uncomfy and swollen etc and I'm working from home half the week and even in the office I'm not there all day now!

@PartRadish exciting! Everything feels like it's happening very fast now! Hopefully they'll give you something for the discomfort surely!

Mummyme87 · 06/12/2023 13:54

@PartRadish we take cerclages out 37weeks on labour ward and always offer gas and air. Occasionally they get a bit embedded in your cervix and need to be done under spinal. Great news it’s held tight in there though

PartRadish · 06/12/2023 14:14

@Mummyme87 I made the mistake of reading a few stories of them becoming embedded 🤮 I'm hoping that as mine went in quite late (21 weeks) that hopefully won't have happened 🤞

OP posts:
Mummyme87 · 06/12/2023 14:34

@PartRadish yeah we tend to do them around 14/15weeks so probably more likely then

Mummyme87 · 06/12/2023 15:59

Sat post school run crying. The walk is so painful, I got to the juniors which is a good 10mins walk from infants to find they had let my 9yr old go home alone (I write in his book if he’s allowed to, I didn’t today so they rang me and I said no as there was a school book fair on - they seemingly let him anyway), missed calls from the garage saying needs new front tyres - got home and asked DH about it and he’s like ‘oh we can sort that ourselves… WHEN???, I haven’t had lunch because he’s been on a call since 1pm in the kitchen on loud speaker so haven’t been able to get in. The boys are asking when we are putting Christmas decorations up and I just can’t be bothered. They are all in the loft, we need a tree. It’s all really trivial I know but I just can’t see wood for the trees right now, the mental load is too much with pain on top 😖😞

Onedayatatime24 · 06/12/2023 16:23

@PartRadish I never realised how big they'd be! Good to hear you never get used to them either haha!

@Mummyme87 sorry to hear you're struggling, perfectly normal. I keep having meltdowns over the smallest things, just one question too many seems to tip me over. Simple stuff too, the other day DH asked me if we have any potatoes and that was enough to overload my brain 😂 like, just look in the cupboard. Why are you asking me.

Just got back from my 34 week appointment and midwife said baby is super low and still head down!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 06/12/2023 16:47

@Mummyme87 it's not trivial, and honestly the hunger probably didn't help. Sympathise, it's massively annoying when someone has a video call and you can't get into a room to get food. My partner can be guilty of that also. And we need to eat more currently!

sashastuck · 06/12/2023 17:28

@PartRadish it’s amazing that baby has stayed in so long after your preemie babies! Hope the stitch removal goes well when it happens.

@Matildahoney lovely bump and low, wow! I can imagine the discomfort. Not long to go.

@Mummyme87 sorry about your day :( I agree with @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it’s not trivial at all. You’ve had a rough ride with this pain.

@AliceClaridge you can privately message me if that’s an option on here?

Do you think my bump is looking low? MIL thinks it is but I can’t tell the difference between now and a few weeks ago. Not sure if it’s just wishful thinking but I do think I can breathe easier this week! Heartburn kicking my ass though and I’m definitely still feeling kicks relatively high

sashastuck · 06/12/2023 17:32

Also @Dannic2018 😍 I love seeing bump pictures!

Hummusanddipdip · 06/12/2023 17:35

Oh @Mummyme87 none of that's trivial. It does feel a lot especially when its all at once. And like @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 said, being hungry adds to it, I feel like hunger and tiredness make everything feel harder and less manageable.

I had a cry at my (new) midwife today. She asked how I was doing, and I told her about the dental letter and then everything kind of came out and I cried. She asked me about my mental state and I said its just the stress, the hormones of being pregnant just make life feel that bit less manageable.

I agree @PartRadish the movements still take me by surprise, although the painful foot in ribs isn't something I can say I love 🤣

Matildahoney · 06/12/2023 20:03

Ah @sashastuck beautiful bump, I've tried taking at least weekly pictures so I had something to compare (first pregnancy and all) to, like you say it's hard to know yourself, DP delights in telling me I'm getting bigger and lower by the day!
Midwife appt tomorrow which I believe is the birth plan one, seeing a different midwife too so will be interesting to see what she thinks!

Inmydreams88 · 06/12/2023 20:08

Onedayatatime24 · 05/12/2023 12:40

@Inmydreams88 @Bims2019 I bought the Positive Birth Company hypnobirthing course but haven't started it yet! Are you getting your partners to do it with you? Not sure if it'll be of any use to him or if I should just crack on alone.

I'm not sure if it's lightning crotch as doesn't sound as painful as what you're all describing but I definitely get the odd sharp pain down there which makes me jump! Also feeling lots of pressure in the last couple of weeks.

I definitely recommend doing it with your birth partner, she explains what their job is and they need to know all the stuff so they can advocate for you!

Luhou · 06/12/2023 20:13

@Mummyme87 you're not alone. Also struggling here. Did 12hr day at work yesterday. Todler is a good girl but still full on. House is just a car crash. Still no hospital bag packed. Asked MIL for some support, with no success. 🙈

Mummyme87 · 06/12/2023 21:01

Thanks for the support ladies. Feeling better this evening. DH has ordered new tyres and sorting it when I’m at work on Saturday, I’ve gutted the cupboard in the living room and moved some bits from our room in to it. DH has been to the loft for Christmas decs, put some bits up and brought the car seat down so I can clean it. We nipped to b&q and got a tree which is on the stand, just needs decorated at some point.
some slight movement forward!!

Mushroo · 06/12/2023 21:34

Sorry to hear loads of us are struggling!

We finished painting the nursery today so feeling a bit more prepared! I’ve also blocked out Sunday to do a final check of hospital bags and DH is now off the alcohol in case he needs to drive.

Starting to feel very real, I just need to get work out of the way (a week today I finish!)

@sashastuck I think your bump looks pretty low! I can’t tell at all with mine, other than it’s getting bigger each day and I keep bumping into stuff 😂

MrsJ6921 · 06/12/2023 21:57

I think I’ve always carried low and luckily I’ve never had any heartburn but this was my bump at my baby shower a couple of weeks ago. My DH says she’s dropped even more now!

sashastuck · 07/12/2023 09:12

@MrsJ6921 you look amazing!!

RG9895 · 07/12/2023 09:34

Love seeing all the bump pics! I did a comparison as I thought I had dropped but to me she looks higher 🙈

29 - 35 weeks

TunnocksTCake · 07/12/2023 11:01

Loving the bump pics! @RG9895 that does look higher in the second one how funny!

We tried to have sex yesterday and it was sooo uncomfortable, almost painful. Felt like there was no space and I was being bruised so had to give up! Such a horrible feeling! Must be full of relaxin now!

Who is due first in the group? I'm 7th Jan so fairly early (hopefully!!)

PartRadish · 07/12/2023 11:03

Ah I love bump pics 😍 and comparison pics!

This is mine from this week. 26 weeks on the left, 34 weeks on the right. Doesn't seem a huge difference for 8 weeks in between but it definitely looks longer/fuller I think...
