Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

@Winnipeggy 4 days out is totally fine! I was 4 days ahead last time because I had really short cycles but on track this time as they were longer after my first pregnancy. Implantation happens any time from 6-12dpo so there's 6 days that could make a difference and that's just one factor.

The LMP is a very crude way of working out how far along we are, almost a bit of guess work. We get our proper due date at the 12 week scan and even that can be 2 weeks out, how many people actually give birth in their due date!

wannabe123 · 12/12/2023 13:56

@Winnipeggy I don't think 4 days is a worry. Especially when you think how tiny they are at 7 weeks it's probably only a mm or two which must be hard to measure on the scans.

@sulikm with my first pregnancy I had my first "12 week" scan and was only 9 weeks due to long cycles. It just meant I got an extra scan from the NHS. I did mention it to my sonographer before they started they I thought I was only 9 or 10 weeks and they sounded slightly relieved when they saw the baby that I'd said that. They just booked another scan in for 3 weeks time.

Outliers · 12/12/2023 13:57

7+4 (I think).

Had a disconcerting bleed when i went toilet on Sunday evening. I'm attributing to the fact I had sex the night before and possibly a sensitive cervix.

I had small bleeds day after sex up until around 12 weeks with my previous pregnancy 2 years ago -so I've decided not to rush to EPU. Bleeding hasn't returned since Sunday too.

Nausea/ morning sickness of hitting a lot harder than my child/last pregnancy - thought i'd cope better 2nd time round. I vomited twice at the gym this morning - embarrassing!

DP keeps joking that maybe it's twins.

CMRC17 · 12/12/2023 19:54

@ceruleansky sorry for the late reply here! Yeah it is pretty crazy. So my early scan last week measured me 9 weeks, so I’ll be 10 weeks this week.

Definitely feeling a bit more sickness this week but only seems to be when I’m cooking certain foods or thinking about what food to eat hahah. When I’m out and about I’m (touch wood) always feeling fine! I have a few meals out planned this week so I’m hoping I haven’t jinxed myself here haha. I’ve also stopped feeling as sick in the mornings, tends to be more around lunchtime or early evening now. I was also completely shattered this weekend, but think I’d caught a bit of a cold so that might have been why. How are you doing?

LStar1 · 12/12/2023 20:04

Ingridika · 10/12/2023 13:12

@LStar1 i have a scan booked on Tuesday, but want to try to get one tomorrow. Was hesitant to go to hospital today, as super busy weekend with children and did not want to ruin it after hearing the terrible news. Do you have period like pain as well?

Hi @Ingridika, How was your scan today x

I've had pains in lower stomach and fainted this morning, back pain is still there. I have 10 week scan on Thursday

BlessednFavoured · 12/12/2023 20:05

Hi everyone, Please help. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and have just been told by the sonographer that I have fibroids! I asked questions but she said the GP can talk to me about it!

Has anyone got/ had fibroids? What are the implications for pregnancy? Are there any things I can do to reduce the fibroids or implications?

Advice will be much appreciated.

MrsHousePlant · 12/12/2023 20:11

@EmmzRB I'm with you, my dreams are vivid and wild 😂 recalling them to my husband in the morning provides some good entertainment.

I’ve been having headaches this week, I’m not sure if it’s pregnancy or end of term related. I can’t wait for some time off soon!

ceruleansky · 13/12/2023 02:20

@CMRC17
No worries! 10 weeks, wow!

Yeah it's pretty much the same thing you said, certain foods are triggering but others are fine. Glad to hear you're feeling better and able to cook and eat! I think in about 2 weeks you'll be out of the nausea zone!

I feel fine, not too many problems. Just a bit of headache and dizziness. Sometimes the tiredness hits and I fall asleep immediately. My first scan looks good so I am grateful and just resting and listening to my body.

I haven't started exercising yet. Have you? I'm not sure what's safe and what's not tbh..!

Ingridika · 13/12/2023 06:23

@LStar1 it was all fine! The heart was beating away. I hysterically cried. This pregnancy is a big rollercoaster. I would like to enjoy it - but can’t at all!
do you have iron in your pregnancy supplements? Fairing might be connected to low iron!

Hi @Ingridika, I'm so please scan went well ! It really is tough to enjoy it's a different feeling after a loss. I have my first midwife booking appointment this morning so hopefully can ask for some tests. 24 hours till 10 week scan and hoping for good news x

Singleorigincoffee · 13/12/2023 10:10

Nausea has got me losing weight but yet pregnancy has made me feel bloated too..I hate this feeling the most. Arghhhh

missmoosh · 13/12/2023 12:28

@Singleorigincoffee nausea has me gaining weight! I have to eat to keep it somewhat at bay, but the only things I want are so unhealthy haha!
I have spent the day in bed, feeling so rough hoping doctors will prescribe me something, but had to email them as it's impossible to get through in the mornings! anyone else off work with nausea/sickness?

Vittoriosa · 13/12/2023 12:36

Hi ladies, also feeling rotten today. Still v extreme constipation, getting chills, exhausted. On top of this I am concerned that my discharge is getting a bit more thick and yellow. Going to keep an eye on it

Mummytobe2023 · 13/12/2023 12:37

@missmoosh me! All I can do is lie on the sofa as everything else feels like too much effort / makes me feel more nauseous. Exactly the same as you I have to eat to stop the nausea and was eating a flapjack at 4am 🤦🏻‍♀️

missmoosh · 13/12/2023 13:46

@Mummytobe2023 do you also find if you eat the wrong thing it leave the most vile taste in your mouth 😂 oh the joys of pregnancy! Glad to hear I'm not alone in being on the sofa, lots of naps for me too! Praying I can get hold of anti nausea meds tomorrow, have rather intense weekend that I really don't want to miss!

I’m off work with hyperemesis - been signed off work until the end of the month. I’m spending my days lying on the sofa watching Christmas movies! I’ve finally stopped being sick 🤞 thanks to some heavy duty medication.

MummyBear2519 · 13/12/2023 17:04

Looking for some advice as my anxiety is off the scale. Currently 10+ weeks with identical twins. My scan at 8+3 they were both happy and healthy but the last day or 2 I just don’t feel the same weight in my lower stomach as I’ve been having for weeks. Still all the same pregnancy symptoms apart from the headaches have kicked in. Is this normal to stop feeling ‘weight’ low down? Have my next scan next week but the fact it’s twins is really making my so scared

wannabe123 · 13/12/2023 18:55

Does anybody else have a bump yet? I know it's probably mostly bloating and this is my second baby but I had a couple of people tell me (who know I'm pregnant and one who didn't) that I definitely have a little bump! I can see it too! It's exciting but also need to get through 3 more days in work before the holidays and I have my 12 week scan!

bringmearainbow · 13/12/2023 19:32

@wannabe123 I def have a half bump/big bloat. I've been taking pics for a couple of weeks and it's def popped out more than 2 weeks ago. It's getting hard to hide at work but just 5 more days of hiding it and we finish for Xmas break.

wannabe123 · 13/12/2023 19:48

@bringmearainbow I'm just shocked at how quickly I'm showing this time round! I'm finding it reassuring in some ways but still don't want to totally relax until after my scan which is now only a week away!

Nocoffeenotalkie · 13/12/2023 19:58

I'm really bloated and it looks like a bump already despite only being 8weeks/11weeks (will find out for sure on Friday)
Had a COVID booster today due to pregnancy. It was mentioned at the booking appointment.
Can't wait to be off for a bit over the holidays! I'm am falling asleep all over the place. Barely able to keep my eyes open by the time I get home.

bringmearainbow · 13/12/2023 20:54

@wannabe123 gosh only a week away that's so exciting! Mines two weeks but I have one Friday at the EPU. Our bodies just go oh yes I remember let's stretch out 😂

hopingfor23 · 13/12/2023 21:09

I defo have a bump already and I'm only 8 weeks!!!! Not sure if it's because my last pregnancy was only 10 months ago but it's defo not just bloat and I'm not sure how I'm going to hide it over Xmas!!!!

justanotherlaura · 13/12/2023 21:38

@MummyBear2519 as you uterus grows it rises out of your pelvis, as you're having twins I imagine it's growing quicker than the rest of us. Hopefully that rising is why you've lost that heavy feeling.

My scan isn't until the 4th Jan :( I'll be 12+6, I was really hoping it would be between Xmas and new year

MummyBear2519 · 13/12/2023 21:42

@justanotherlaura thank you that makes sense. I have 2 older children but I barely remember anything from being pregnant as the youngest is 10.

My scan was the 3rd Jan but due to needing a double slot they could only fit me in on the 20th December so very lucky and means we can tell everyone at Christmas
