Anyone want to join me? I'm likely jumping the gun as I have a history of reoccurring loss but it always helps me to chat as if it really will work out this time 🤞🏼❤️

@missmoosh Me! Been hungry throughout the day. Been making sure I’ve been drinking plenty of water but not doing the trick. I’m so ready for tea! Glad it’s not just me 😂

MummyBear2519 · 06/12/2023 17:29

I told my small office team at school today, due to being high risk and lots of appointments coming up it only felt right to give them some warning.
My scan has also been moved from the 3rd January to the 20th December as I need a double slot to see the twins. I will be 11+3 but means we can tell family over Christmas which will be nice

MrsHousePlant · 06/12/2023 17:44

I’ve bitten the bullet and have booked a private scan for the week before Christmas! I think I just want to be able to tell a few family members with the knowledge all is (hopefully!) ok.

CMRC17 · 06/12/2023 18:38

also feeling v hungry! Although I am usually a bit of a snacker anyway, so it’s not too different to my normal lifestyle hahah! Does anyone else feel sick at the thought of food but then absolutely fine when they eat it? The thought of eating dinner in the evening makes me feel sick quite often but as soon as I have a few bites I’m completely fine.. same with breakfast, the thought of anything but dry cereal in the morning makes me feel sick but once I’ve had the cereal I then want to eat everything else!

missmoosh · 06/12/2023 18:41

@Sunray33 @CMRC17 glad I am not alone in it! I have no issues with the thought of food... In fact it's all I think about haha! Gonna have to be careful or I will end up the size of a house! Already slightly overweight due to sad eating during the struggles of getting pregnant lol

MrsHousePlant · 06/12/2023 19:33

@CMRC17 yes! I cannot look at food or food being prepped. I’ve even had to unfollow food/recipe accounts on insta 😂 I’m fine eating but looking at food or making food choices makes me feel funny.

Bluebonnet3 · 06/12/2023 21:45

I feel hungry a lot of the time, sometimes I just can't seem to stop eating, then I get over full and have to deal with reflux. I'm also always thirsty, sometimes with dry mouth. I know at least one of the ivf medications I'm on has that as a side effect. I don't really have nausea but sometimes the hunger is a little like mild nausea but I know what it means. That's usually early in the morning.

I am often awake for a couple of hours or more in the night (3am+). Usually it has to do with waking up because of my 1yr old then after I get him back to sleep I'm wide awake for a couple of hours.

I have an appointment with my ivf clinic tomorrow morning (10 weeks), to go thru the results of my blood tests from about 10 days ago. The dr thinks I may have immune issues, so the tests are all related to that. We'll see what the treatment plan is. (I have thyroid issues and my baby was quite small when he was born, so that's why they think I might have immune issues.)

I'm getting a scan as well tomorrow, so hoping everything looks ok!

Muminnthesun · 07/12/2023 03:30

I feel you! I’ve been the girl tucking into home made lentil soup and sandwiches at like 11.30am to try and stop the nausea taking over. Indian food sounds like a good choice 😋 I have a wedding on the 23rd and the dress I bought seems less and less likely with the eating/bloating 🤣

ChaTom · 07/12/2023 09:36

This pregnancy has been so stressful so far. I’ve been in hospital with hyperemesis gravidarum. Had a scan at 10+1 and all looked ok except for fluid behind the uterus and baby measuring a week behind. Then yesterday had red bleeding. I really don’t know what to think.

bringmearainbow · 07/12/2023 10:48

@ChaTom oh no that does sound very stressful sending you big hugs 🤗 I wouldn't worry about baby being a week behind a lot of them catch up by 12 week mark. Did they say if the fluid could be blood? I would ring EPU about the bleeding and see if they can see you

@bringmearainbow thank you for your reply. They didn’t really say. I’ve had a chat with the midwife and they have booked another scan for tomorrow morning. I guess I can only hope for the best. Hyperemesis still in full swing so it’s all a bit rubbish. My children don’t know about the pregnancy so I’m just trying to keep a positive face on for them.

PopQuizz · 07/12/2023 12:47

Does anyone know if any travel sickness tablets are safe to use in pregnancy? I'm 6w4d and being a passenger in the car is hell at the moment! I don't really have access to a midwife yet to ask...

ceruleansky · 07/12/2023 16:00

Guys, is it weird that I don't feel anything at 6+2 weeks ?! No nausea, no sore boobs, no change in appetite, nothing that I usually hear of. I just have cramps occasionally. The lack of symptoms worries me. I have my first scan in 5 days and I'm trying to stay positive.

MoonIightDreamer · 07/12/2023 16:15

@ceruleansky I'm 8+2 and still zero symptoms. Had a scan last week and everything was fine so far

Winnipeggy · 07/12/2023 17:14

I had very few with my first pregnancy, more with this one but they really don't mean anything. My friend just gave birth and she didn't have one symptom the entire pregnancy, I know it's hard but honestly it's a blessing! You really don't want to be at the other end of the spectrum x

Winnipeggy · 07/12/2023 21:42

Guys is anyone else having serious bowel issues? I'm 7 weeks today and sorry if TMI but anytime I eat I basically almost immediately start getting cramps and need the toilet. I'm going at least 3/4 times a day which is crazy for me. Had a tiny bit of vaginal blood yesterday when I was straining a little but it seems to have gone now. Just can't get over the massive changes in such a short space of time!

Wise0wl · 07/12/2023 21:50

@ceruleansky I have no symptoms at all either, which I’m finding really weird. I’m about 8.5 weeks now, and had a scan at EPU last week and all looks ok. It’s really unnerving isn’t it!

ceruleansky · 08/12/2023 01:37

@MoonlightDreamer
Ah okay that's reassuring, thank you!
And happy to hear everything's good on your side!

@Winnipeggy
I keep telling myself I should be grateful that I'm able to go to work every day. But there's a part of me that's definitely wondering!

I haven't had the bowel problem you're talking about but this morning I had the opposite. No movement. I've been so careful with my diet and I caved and had French fries yesterday. There goes my entire system!

@Wise0wl
Yes maybe we are the lucky ones?! I don't know! I'm sure we will feel this way until much later when the baby kicks.

My mom never had morning sickness either. IDK if it can be related. I haven't told her about my pregnancy yet so I haven't discussed what she felt.

missmoosh · 08/12/2023 08:09

Oh my nausea has kicked in now at 6+5, it's got slightly worse every day this week. Feel rotten today though ang got my booking appointment, hope I don't puke on the midwives!! My boobs are also getting tender now as well.

Don't forget some of the less obvious symptoms you may be having like constipation/diarrhoea , trapped wind, headaches etc.

@Winnipeggy i did for the first couple of weeks, but things seem to be slowing down now in that regard 😂

soscarlet · 08/12/2023 09:50

I’m really envious of those of you who don’t have any sickness/nausea! I’ve been nauseous for weeks and now have hyperemesis. I’ve got my booking appointment today and if the midwife suggests ginger tea or eating little and often I think I’ll have a breakdown.

CMRC17 · 08/12/2023 10:08

Hi @ceruleansky i would try not to worry about lack of symptoms, I also had a freak out at about 7 weeks because I just didn’t feel any different to normal other than a tiny bit of sickness and was worried that meant something bad. Particularly hearing about how many symptoms other people seem to have!

I’ve definitely had more sickness in recent weeks though, I’ve not actually been sick but I have waves of nausea particularly in the mornings. I had an early scan this week and everything looked fine so it’s reassured me (at least for now) :)

some people just don’t feel that different, the sonographer I spoke to said she had basically 0 symptoms for her whole pregnancy. I know my mum was the same and she was pregnant with twins.

trebuvie · 08/12/2023 10:25

Update from me, I didn't end up going to the GP/EPU. I was bleeding on Tuesday evening, more than spotting, but overnight there was no further bleeding and hasn't been any since. What will be will be... I have a scan booked anyway for next Thurs when I'll be 7-8wks (bit unsure of my dates) so I'll find out then.

I've been having much stronger nausea symptoms in the last few days though - I hardly had any last week, maybe a twinge that could have been my imagination, but it's been much more definitive the last few days and growing stronger each day. I'm hoping it's a good sign for the pregnancy (although it's getting to the point where it actually feels awful, so be careful what you wish for!!)

Jess725 · 08/12/2023 11:29

Goodness me! I disappeared due to sleeping all the time and terrible nausea! Nausea still present but I can function slightly now 😆
How’s everyone doing?

I got first scan letter today, it’s first week of Jan when I’ll be 13+4. Isn’t that pushing it a little bit. Feels a bit disheartening I can’t tell people at Xmas or even new year. Know it’s silly and small problem to have! 😅 just winging!

hope you’re all ok ❤️

CB2805 · 08/12/2023 11:48

Hi ladies, hope you’re doing all well🩷
8 weeks today and I don’t know why I’m literally not feeling like myself the last week. I can’t describe it, but im just feeling weird and grumpy all the time.
did anyone else experience that?
im super anxious with the spotting that I’m experiencing so I bet that contributes

Ah that's definitely normal I think! I know it's the answer to everything but it is just the hormones. I've been getting this weird almost homesickness feeling even though it makes no sense. I think we just kind of have to accept that our bodies are doing really bizarre things atm! X
