I had my pre op appointment today, it was very quick and basic! I don’t know what I was expecting, cos I’m sure my last one was the same.

This time I have been given 3 preload sachets to have 2 tonight and 1 tomorrow, last time I was just given Lucozade sport to have. I’m really not looking forward to them, they are described as a neutral flavour medical food drink … so I’m guessing they’re going to be disgusting!

Has anyone had these preload sachets before?

I've been given something similar, ive got to drink 2 bottles before 7am on the day of my section.

@BabyBabyBaby123 i had pre-op today as well (but for Wed). Nothing but anti reflux medication for me to take and told to wake up at 2 in the morning and have a snack if possible. Will never get back to sleep if I do that though so think I’d rather the gross drinks!

Hi everyone had a growth scan today at 36 weeks , baby is weighing 6lb 5oz but his head circumference was on the 82% should I be concerned lol I'm thinking it's a big head? I'm not worried about the weight as my little boy was 8lb 4oz 2 days early , get its from dad side lol , but all the pressure I'm getting and the weird feelings is cause baby is head down but back to back xx

I had the first preload drink, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. It did say it was neutral tasting and it was very plain, not quite plain water, but almost. I’m glad cos I have another at 10pm - which will see me up peeing all night! And the last one at 6am before I have to be at hospital for 7:15.
It’s getting real now, I’m quite nervous!

@Crazybrowncow babys are totally fine as are mine. To be honest mine havnt been an issue really, they seem to think it’s because of my liver condition. Since I’ve been on the meds for them the diabetes pretty much disappeared and I’ve been diet controlled all the way through. They’ve done babys three so they won’t need to do any more on her, and I think I have two left to do.

Shes feeding very small amounts, but she is able to be on demand now so I’m hoping she will look for it more. They said they don’t expect her to take a lot of milk as she’s so small at the moment. She’s doing so great though. 💕

The little ones don't have huge volumes. If she is content, alert enough (as in, not overly sleepy when she does rouse) and nappies are progressing then she's taking what she needs.

Hi Ladies, so my waters broke tonight, little lady has decided now is the time she would like
to come and maybe even be an Halloween baby. 36 and 6 today, so earlier than we thought but excited to meet her. Just in hospital now waiting for the consultant, no pains yet! X
