@Pinkstuffs Glad everything went well with your scan. I have anterior placenta as well and have been feeling the baby move from 19 weeks, now I'm 22. I only feel him quite low where the placenta doesn't reach.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 08/12/2023 14:42

Just had my anatomy scan too! All is well bar the placenta being low so get another scan at 32 weeks to see if it moves. Not too fussed either way on where it ends up really as I was considering a c section anyway.

I have anterior placenta too and have been feeling movement since 16 weeks, feel it quite strongly now but still not quite strong enough to feel externally or to feel like big kicks or anything. It's a super weird sensation

My placenta was anterior to start with, but it has now moved to posterior (I assume it rose up the uterus and ended up on the other side, as it is high, basically fundal)
Ive been feeling movement since 18 weeks, and I started hearing her on the doppler at 17 weeks, so I assume that[s whent the placenta started moving up.

Emilyj13 · 08/12/2023 15:33

My placenta is anterior and I have still not felt any movement. Is anyone else the same? I am 21 weeks today

1994jk · 08/12/2023 15:55

@Emilyj13 I will be 20 weeks on Tuesday, I also have an anterior placenta but haven't anything yet either don't worry. I have a friend who didn't feel anything until 23 weeks with an anterior placenta x

ZB86 · 08/12/2023 16:07

@Emilyj13 I was 21 weeks on Wednesday, low anterior placenta and I haven't noticed any movements. Hopefully they will come for us on the next couple of weeks x

ZB86 · 08/12/2023 16:14

@Emilyj13 I was 21 weeks in weds. I have a low lying anterior placenta and haven't noticed any movements. Hopefully they will come for us in the next couple of weeks x

Ttcmumma · 08/12/2023 17:36

For those that haven't felt yet, I didn't even have an anterior placenta with my first born but went well over 20 weeks before feeling him. This time I felt baby girl since 16 weeks and now at 22 weeks she beats me up internally 🤣. They're all different! My sister is having her second boy and is 2 weeks behind me, she feels him but barely x

Petris123 · 09/12/2023 11:12

I'm 19 weeks and was already feeling kicks and could also see them from the outside, but I reckon yesterday and today I'm feeling less and couldn't see any kicks, just felt a bit of general movement. Anyone knows if this is normal to still have quieter days? I have my scan on Monday

Ttcmumma · 09/12/2023 11:29

@Petris123 it's normal Hun, that's why they don't need you to look for a pattern until later on. Baby is still small so can move position and you barely feel them. I have days when my daughter feels like she's in a boxing match all day and then days when I barely feel her if at all. Next day she's back to moving loads. I'm 22+5 im getting less and less quiet days the further along I get x

Misty84 · 09/12/2023 21:04

Posterior placenta here and I’ve felt movement from 18 weeks, then from 21 weeks the kicks could be felt on the outside too. 🥰

ASGIRC · 09/12/2023 21:35

@Petris123 Im over 23 weeks now, and I still have different days.
Even today i was mentioning to some friends that the past couple Ive felt her less, after being absolutely kicked to shit 2 days ago!
I still felt her a lot, today, but didnt feel like I was being beaten from the inside!

SummerOak · 11/12/2023 09:05

Anyone having hot flashes? I was so warm yesterday night that I couldn't fall asleep for 3 hours. And now I'm working with open windows to make it as cold as possible. Hope it's not something that sticks till the end of pregnancy.

Mrsttcno1 · 11/12/2023 12:16

I’ve had this the last couple of days @SummerOak ! But I’m also full of cold so I wasn’t sure if it was maybe just that! X

Petris123 · 11/12/2023 15:37

@ASGIRC & @Ttcmumma thank you!
Had my scan today. All good and having a girl! 💕
Also totally forgot to ask for MatB1 but I've rang my midwife so I'm hoping I'll be able to get it this week 😊😁

Ttcmumma · 11/12/2023 15:59

@Petris123 ah congrats! Glad all is well. Im 23 weeks and still haven't got my matb1 form, should probably chase that 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol

sweetdreams23 · 11/12/2023 16:28

@Petris123 @Ttcmumma my midwife is giving me mine at 28 week appointment which seems late but work fine with that if that helps?

Petris123 · 11/12/2023 16:48

@Ttcmumma @sweetdreams23 oh I see!
I'm planning to go on mat leave about 10 or 11 weeks before due date, so I think that would be a bit too late, they've already asked me when I'll have it! Not sure what the latest date you can hand it in is..

sweetdreams23 · 11/12/2023 16:52

@Petris123 last time my job needed it earlier so I just called the midwife number and they had it ready for me to just pick up from reception :)

Petris123 · 11/12/2023 17:24

@sweetdreams23 good to know! I've rang them but there was an answer phone so hopefully they'll ring me back! :)

Ttcmumma · 11/12/2023 19:46

I only need it in the case of falling back on universal credit to be fair. I'm self employed and saving for a month off for maternity but incase I medically need longer I need the matb1 for UC. I plan to work until I go into labour like I did with my son🤣 a month off for my body to heal and then take baby with me!

SummerOak · 11/12/2023 20:06

@Petris123 I think for Mat B1 you need to give it 15 weeks before due date. At least that's what they told me at my work.

@Mrsttcno1 I don't have a cold and haven't felt any changes temperature wise before yesterday. I'm just hoping it doesn't happen again tonight, as really can't sleep if I'm too warm. Hopefully yours stops too.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 12/12/2023 02:33

Anyone have nursing bra or sports bra recommendations for a big bust? Needs to be reasonably priced.

My current seamless bras are too small now and I'm getting uncomfortable.

Just measured myself and I'm a bloody 40e! (38d prepregnancy) so struggling to find anything from the usual places (new look, sainsburys, etc).

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess have a look at https://nursingbra-shop.co.uk/ (I've not ordered from this shop before, but someone I know recommended the website to me after ordering).

Another suggestion would be Molke, but they're very marmite (admittedly not my cup of tea, but I know people who rave about them, so worth a mention)...

Have you tried m&s @XenaTheWarriorPrincess ? That’s what I’ve currently got and they are amazing, so comfortable! Not the most attractive thing I’ve ever worm but comfort is key at the moment! X
