@Hopefulfirstround - I use bio oil morning and night

MumDaisy1980 · 18/11/2023 03:34

hello everyone, past week I have been nosebleeding quite regularly. Given that I m not a regular nose bleed person. Wonder if it’s preg related or just dry air from all the heating.

the blood is not thin but big chunk of it!! I m not used to it so was simple surprised. It normally stop after a while.

Anyone has similar experience?

Thanks!

Bizjustgotreal · 18/11/2023 06:37

@MumDaisy1980 ask your midwife, but it is listed as a common symptom. But you might want to get checked out still.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 18/11/2023 09:24

Yep @MumDaisy1980 totally normal. Happening to me too and did last time I was pregnant. Never has a nosebleed of any kind while not pregnant.

I keep having to blow it all out quite frequently.

As biz said, you can let your midwife know about it but unless your actively bleeding and it isn't stopping, intervention isn't usually necessary.

Today I've had some slight cramping pains quite low down and some nausea (not had that now for weeks and was never sick). Feeling abit nervous but I'm assuming it's just stretching or something similar.

SummerOak · 18/11/2023 22:12

@Alice4875 I also had someone similar today. Almost like light period cramps and slightly nauseous. I haven't been nauseous at all so far. I do think it's just stretching as the baby is growing. I was also feeling a lot of kicks today, so could be because of that as well.

1994jk · 19/11/2023 08:45

@Alice4875 @SummerOak I have had mild cramping low down probably every few days since finding out I was pregnant, even in 2nd trimester, I spoke to midwife about it at my 16 week appt on Friday and she said if it goes away its usually nothing to worry about unless bleeding/spotting as well (which im not), they tested me for a UTI because of the cramping and im still waiting results so i dont know if it is that yet or not but otherwise they said just monitor, i have also felt light headed, Breathless and a bit nauseous the last couple of days and they said that baby is having a growth spurt in these weeks so other symptoms arise. Hope that reassures you but just give your midwife a call if you're worried! I totally get it cos every tiny little thing worries me atm!!

Hi everyone
I turn 19 weeks this week, been having an ok few weeks. Appetite has picked up, energy levels have been better and then bam this weekend I'm back to no energy, feeling weak and the nauseas returned. Noooooooo!!!!
Anyone else feeling peaky? xxx

Ek21 · 19/11/2023 13:52

Yes I am the same, I am 19 weeks today and got sick this morning for the first time in weeks. I am very bunged up and constantly blowing my nose so I think that is what made me feel sick. FTM so assuming this is all normal!

Alice4875 · 19/11/2023 19:11

Thanks all! Glad to hear I am not the only one. No cramps or sickness today but had a nosebleed instead 😂

Pinkstuffs · 19/11/2023 19:46

I’ve still been getting nausea on and off, I had an awful cold last week and I still haven’t really got my appetite back, but as usual not eating makes my sickness worse!

Ttcmumma · 19/11/2023 19:58

I had what I thought was constipation last weekend which turned into strong sharp pains in the top of my belly, backache and diarrhea. Turns out I had a stomach bug, can still feel her kicking away in there and have my 20 week scan tomorrow so 🤞🏻 she's still growing fine even with me being so unwell for a week!

MumDaisy1980 · 20/11/2023 04:35

I had cramp or light period pain time to time too. Especially when I low in energy say before meal time. But after food usually fine.

today I had mood swing and cried for something very trivial. After cry feel better.

theodora2146 · 20/11/2023 08:32

Found out the gender of our baby at the weekend and it's a boy! 🩵

Literally cannot believe it, because of 3 consecutive losses I had convinced myself perhaps I couldn't carry boys as my nan couldn't! Literally shell shocked still!

Anyone had like stomach cramps, not like period or anything almost like an upset stomach but nothing is happening. It's hard to eat with my tummy feeling quite sensitive. Just wondering if it's normal?

Hopefulfirstround · 20/11/2023 09:28

thank you for all the replies !!! Bio oil appears to be a good go to , I’ll order some and give it a go :) nose bleeds are really common in pregnancy due to the increase in blood volume :) .im dreading getting nasal symptoms , ive already got a huge nose 🙃

SummerOak · 20/11/2023 11:07

Congratulations on your baby boy @theodora2146 💙

How did your scan go @Ttcmumma ? I have mine on Thursday.

@SummerOak all looked fine thank you! Definitely a little girl and they're happy with her growth etc. so pleased, will finally tell my son on the weekend 😊

MumDaisy1980 · 20/11/2023 21:05

i See some of you feel the baby movement. Possible to explain what’s like?? I don’t know if I have ever felt it. Or still have to wait (and I m being impatient!)

Ttcmumma · 20/11/2023 21:07

@MumDaisy1980 little bubbles/pops at first easily mistaken with gas, then it felt a little like my tummy turning, I think that was bigger movements. Now it's more like little pokes, hits and much more easy to distinguish from anything else. My baby doesn't like to be touched as soon as there is a hand or scanner on her she hits lots 🤣

1994jk · 20/11/2023 21:37

@Ttcmumma when did you first feel the bubbles/pops? I am 17 weeks tomorrow and still nothing so getting worried... especially after midwife said I should start feeling them now at my appointment last week!

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 20/11/2023 22:21

Some people feel them earlier than others @1994jk it can take longer to feel anything, especially if your placenta is at the front and/or if you were plus size prior to pregnancy. It can also be really easy to miss those early flutters before the obvious kicks as they can feel similar to digestion or wind.

Bizarrely I have anterior placenta and was a bit fat before pregnancy, but could swear I've been having the odd flutter over the last week (17+1 today), wasn't expecting anything until closer to 20 weeks, if not later.

BVIre · 20/11/2023 22:22

i haven’t felt anything yet either and I’m 20 weeks (first pregnancy) our 20 week scan went really well & baby looked healthy! The midwife and sonographer both really reassured me that first time mums sometimes don’t feel the kicks until a bit later on & the sonographer told me I had an anterior placenta which also could be preventing me feeling them at this stage! My midwife says if I still haven’t felt anything by 24 weeks to get back in touch!
