@LondonGirl1992 I think for most people the sickness comes in waves as the hormones surge. For me, I'll feel like death for weeks then suddenly I'll feel completely normal again. Just as I'm telling my partner 'Thank god for that - the placenta has finally taken over and my sickness has gone!', it'll come back stronger than ever. I thought mine had gone last week but I'm back to being sick 4/5 times a day this week.

Not to wish sickness on you, but I suspect it'll be back before you know it.

That’s so reassuring, thank you! I never thought I’d be wishing sickness upon myself- but here we are!

How many weeks is everyone so far?

I'm 11+1 Smile

Holdmysunhat · 15/10/2023 10:19

I’m 11+1 by my early scan date but really a couple of days earlier.

@HelsM2023 are your symptoms easing at all as you get closer to the magical 12 week mark?! I’m really hoping mine ease this week! I’ve been reading hormones often peak around weeks 9/10 so 🤞

Holdmysunhat · 15/10/2023 10:20

Assuming you have symptoms at all. I know loads of lucky people have a completely symptomless first tri and very healthy preg!

Most of them are thank goodness. I am still very tired most of the time. Occasionally still get twinges and my breasts are a little sore. But no where near as bad as it was.

Plus this week my stomach seemed to have just magically grown seemingly feels overnight and I have a small round bump now! This is my second pregnancy which may have something to do with it. I'm sure I wasn't showing this early first time round.

Twinkles18 · 15/10/2023 10:25

@FirstTim3Mummy im 9+1 and the nausea is wild 🫠waiting patiently for it to peak!

@Holdmysunhat I had a totally symptomless pregnancy for my daughter and her pregnancy was amazing! she’s a perfectly healthy crazy 18months old now..just to reassure anyone feeling anxious about a lack of symptoms 🥰

Holdmysunhat · 15/10/2023 10:25

Wow @HelsM2023 ! That’s brilliant to hear! Hopefully the tiredness fades soon.

I'm 9+3 by ovulation date but measuring a day ahead so I guess 9+4.

I'm 9+1 today too and nausea is coming and going in waves. Although I did just throw up in my mother in laws bathroom woops

Hopefully it will peak for both of us soon fingers crossed because I'm so over it haha. Although it is definitely reassuring xx

Yes it does get easier!

Darladoes · 15/10/2023 18:04

Hi ladies. I'm 8 weeks exactly today. I too have been worrying about a lack of symptoms over the weekend. My nausea seems to have really calmed down when only mid week it seemed unbearable. Its hard not to worry as I have had previous losses. I have a scan tomorrow afternoon due to those losses, I really hope it'll put my mind at rest, I last saw baby at 6+1 and there was a stong heartbeat.

PeppedUp · 15/10/2023 21:27

@Darladoes good luck with your scan tomorrow - I hope it gives you lots of reassurance x

I’m a day ahead of you and have the same feelings about symptoms going up and down. I usually worry for about a day or so and then they come back.

MollyMarples · 15/10/2023 21:51

Hi all! Congratulations on all the positive tests! Just to reassure some of you, I had zero symptoms with my first pregnancy, but have more symptoms this time round.

8+2, and already have a bump and struggling to do up my jeans, which were previously loose! 😱 I’m back in my maternity jeans today. My abs were destroyed during the first pregnancy so it’s to be expected 🤣

This pregnancy feels completely different - I am constantly thirsty, completely exhausted, low mood, and very nauseous. Hungry but not much appetite, so waking up rumbling.

I had horrifically painful piles late in my first pregnancy, so I am making an extra effort to avoid them. Stay active, do kegals, drink loads of water, and eat v high fibre diet.

Good luck with the symptoms, let’s hope they ease up soon!

rachlive · 16/10/2023 08:34

Good luck today @Darladoes I should be 8 weeks today too by my last scan at 6 weeks. I have a scan booked for today as well as I feel quite worried. I feel like my symptoms have changed and I have an upset tummy and some mild aches so I am fearing the worse, but hoping that I am overacting still. Xx

LondonGirl1992 · 16/10/2023 08:48

Eek I’ve woken up today and not only is this day 3 of no nausea, my sore boobs have also gone! I just took a pregnancy test and it was still a really dark line- but I’m so convinced something is wrong. I’m such a bag of nerves. I’m somewhere between 8.5-10 weeks (8 and a half going by my own tracking but 10 going by the NHS dating appt. It’s terrifying- feels so weird to go from being sick so much to feeling fine and symptom free- hard not to assume the absolute worst.

My scan isn’t until the 1st and that feels like such a long wait!

Mystic94 · 16/10/2023 08:52

I'm 10+3, got my scan appointment for 2nd November when I'll be 12+6. My symptoms have pretty much disappeared, just awful insomnia I've had all the way through and nothing I can take for it 🥱

TheBirdintheCave · 16/10/2023 08:54

@Mystic94 Mines the same day :)

Judethepud · 16/10/2023 09:38

Morning sickness has really hit me today, 9+1. So far I've just been super nauseous but woke up today and have been throwing up :(

TheBirdintheCave · 16/10/2023 09:40

@Judethepud I'm sorry :( The throwing up part sucks. I always feel so pathetic after I vom as I just sit and cry on the floor 😅

Emmacb82 · 16/10/2023 09:48

I’m 9+3 today and my nausea has almost vanished the last couple of days. As much as I hated it, it’s so worrying if everything is ok. Have my booking in appt on Wednesday and am counting down the weeks to my scan. This is 3rd baby and the first time I haven’t had an early scan. I can’t afford to pay out for it but the wait for the nhs one is torture. I just really hope it’s all ok

Judethepud · 16/10/2023 10:01

@TheBirdintheCave I feel you, felt very much like sitting on the bathroom floor and crying too lol it wasn't very glamorous when I was walking the dog and throwing up behind a tree either 🙈

Darladoes · 16/10/2023 10:01

@rachlive thank you! Good luck to you too! Mine is at 2:30, the next few hours are going to drag so much. What time is your scan?

I feel exactly the same as you, my symptoms have changed and I had an upset tummy yesterday too. I just automatically think the worse but trying to remain positive as I have read symptoms do come and go.

rachlive · 16/10/2023 10:04

@Darladoes mine is at 11:50 but it’s really dragging! Fingers crossed for us and we are just overthinking xxxx

I know it's much easier said than done but please try not to panic. I think it's normal for some symptoms to start to subside as the placenta takes over and baby isn't just draining you (there will be a much better medical explanation for that!).
