Welcome @RainbowMoonstone we didn't take a break after my first miscarriage. I did fall pregnant again a couple of cycles later but that ended in miscarriage too. My hormones and cycle hadn't regulated and although I got pregnant I ovulated early that cycle and perhaps the egg hadn't matured or wasn't good quality. My second miscarriage was December and I fell pregnant again in the April - my cycle had regulated and I think my body was just ready then. Some people do fall quickly again and all is well so guess we are all different in terms of when we are physically and emotionally ready.

Alison Hall nutrition Instagram and website has some info that may be helpful. I like the proceive conception supplements.

@february23stars good idea about the private scan and swab hopefully that will give some reassurance

@WhiteHorse92 hope you are feeling better nice you can pop into work next week. Have you got a bit of time to relax now? I go on maternity leave end of next week but I will have my three year old to look after as his nursery school finishes for Xmas so don't think I will get much rest 😂

@tulipsunday I felt dreadful in the night, feel like I have a chest infection and struggled to get out of bed this morning 😭. Due date is in exactly 6 weeks! My toddler only goes to nursery once a week, still have XMas shopping to do and my other half insisted we host XMas dinner this year, so not sure how many days I'll get to relax 😅. Booked in at the hairdresser next week though so I've at least got that to look forward to.

tulipsunday · 08/12/2023 18:28

@WhiteHorse92 quite busy then! 😂 as my son was late I ended up having four weeks last time before he arrived to just potter and rest was great. Going to be quite different this time round!

@tulipsunday last time I had 3 months off work before son was born 😅. I'm a healthcare worker and the rules at the time with covid was that you couldn't work past 28 weeks because of the higher risks with Covid and third trimester so I went off at 28 weeks 😅. Not gonna lie I got really bored and the time dragged, didn't have a toddler to look after either and we were in lockdown so couldn't meet people, think I ended up doing lots of baking and binging One Born Every Minute 🤣

suz2285 · 08/12/2023 19:47

@WhiteHorse92 sounds busy! I've got one week left which will be busy also, and then got loads to do over Xmas! 3 months is ages! 😂

I've spent all afternoon at the midwife and then triage at the hospital, my bp was high but managed to get enough lower readings at triage for them to send me home, they took blood, checked baby and my urine and all good so far so no concerns currently 🤞 tired now and ready for a relaxing weekend tho! Triage is not fun!

RainbowMoonstone · 08/12/2023 21:57

Thanks everyone.
@suz2285 Yes I am on coQ10. Also NAC, Alpha Lipoic Acid, vitamin d, fish oil with dha, and Chinese herbal tea. My fertility specialist recommends I try myo-inositol as well. I was on low dose blood thinners in my previous 2 pregnancies due to being factor v lieden (I suffered a blood clot in my full pregnancy with my son). My acupuncturist believes that the blood thinners are causing me to bleed more easily, so I hesitate to try aspirin, though I know that baby aspirin is such a small amount.
@february23stars relaxing and taking the pressure off sounds like a brilliant idea. I’ve been charting my bbt religiously, analyzing every symptom, and having difficulty sleeping because of information overload with all the studying I’ve been doing! Maybe letting myself off the hook is a good idea for my mental health.
@Hoping4amiracle feeling you on the age thing too. I turn 39 next month. I have the book it starts with the egg and love how well it explains everything. I got the recipe book too and have been trying to balance out my diet with more protein and less carbs. But as similar to @february23stars said, maybe taking the pressure off will help. And I could really go for a chocolate right about now!

My fertile window is starting in the next couple days (assuming I’m back to my normal schedule). My acupuncturist says I should wait a month. My fertility doc says there’s no need to wait. But I’m tired of giving my power away to other people. I’ll see how I feel in the next couple days and trust myself and my body to know the right thing to do.

february23stars · 08/12/2023 22:27

@RainbowMoonstone this sounds like a really great plan. You’ve done so much hard work to get everything just right, it sounds like you’ve given your body all the right support that it needs. Really hope you get some good sleep tonight. Everything you’re saying sounds super positive. Sending happy vibes your way.

Hoping4amiracle · 09/12/2023 10:30

@RainbowMoonstone sounds like a good approach, you have been through so much and I imagine your partner has as well and a less strict regime will be god for both of you xx

Hoping4amiracle · 09/12/2023 10:33

I’m panicking a bit this morning ladies (do you ever feel you just have days were you are more anxious than others? ) but it really hit me through the night that I’m 7 weeks and no nausea and no morning sickness. In fact other than mildly sore boobs and the worst blocked nose I don’t feel pregnant. I read that you are less likely to miscarry with these symptoms and now I’m panicking.

tulipsunday · 09/12/2023 13:03

@Hoping4amiracle I have had two successful pregnancies and two miscarriages and if it is any bit of hope I had the least early symptoms with my son so in my experience symptoms hasn't always matched up with viability. I know it is hard though when you just want to feel something!

OP posts:
Hoping4amiracle · 09/12/2023 13:46

Thanks @tulipsunday . Hoping this is just a mood swing and the anxiety will pass.

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 14:32

@Hoping4amiracle try not to Google too much, I know that's hard (if it's Google that you read that on) but with my daughter I had literally zero symptoms with her...apart from dreadful heartburn in the 2nd/3rd trimester! Every pregnancy is different, even though we do all find ourselves comparing our pregnancies 🙈xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 14:34

Has anyone used anything that works for heartburn??? Omeprazole, lansoprazole..not working. Gaviscon works for about 5 minutes, but I'm at my wits end. Anything I eat sets it off 😩

Hoping4amiracle · 09/12/2023 14:43

Thanks @Brokenpancreas94 - I know Google can be the devil at times. You sometimes wonder why people pull such articles together surely they know that will cause anxiety in women who aren’t experiencing those symptoms x

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 16:23

@Hoping4amiracle oh I know, so many scaremongering out there though isn't there! I'm terrible for believing some of it as well 🙈 x

WhiteHorse92 · 09/12/2023 17:08

@Hoping4amiracle I had absolutely no symptoms in my first pregnancy, no sickness or nausea or sore boobs or anything, just tiredness really but completely healthy pregnancy.

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 18:05

@tulipsunday have you packed your bag yet? I've got as far as getting the bag out of my wardrobe and then putting it back again 🤣 I don't know what's wrong with me

RainbowMoonstone · 09/12/2023 18:08

@Brokenpancreas94 the only thing that worked for my heartburn (and it worked really well!) was baking soda in water. It tastes terrible, but neutralizes stomach acid almost immediately.

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 19:08

@RainbowMoonstone I will give it ago, thank you! I'm miserable and desperate 🤣

suz2285 · 09/12/2023 19:30

@Brokenpancreas94 @tulipsunday I packed mine but then when I went up to triage the other day and added in the last min bits it was ripping the seams! So tomorrow's job is to repack it into my small suitcase! I also bought my labour snacks today too! Need to get prepared... everything got a bit real when I was told to take a bag in with me yesterday 🙈 thank god I had it mostly packed already!!

tulipsunday · 09/12/2023 19:38

@Brokenpancreas94 I got some bits yesterday for the hospital bag but some other things left to sort. Heartburn is a pain isn't it I tend to get it at night but my own fault having a treat post dinner 😂

@suz2285 I used a small suitcase last time which worked well - one half for bits for labour and one half for stuff post birth. Worked quite well as knew then where stuff was.

suz2285 · 09/12/2023 19:40

@tulipsunday yeah all mine is labelled and bagged up but when I went to put in chargers and extra clothes etc there was no room! You have to take so much , and that's not even including any 'extra' things like lights and pillows that some people take! 😂😂 it's just clothes, pads, peri bottle etc! I also feel like I might need another set of pjs! It's hard when you don't know how long you'll be in for!

tulipsunday · 09/12/2023 20:00

Sounds like you are very prepared. If you have to stay over would you partner go home and come back in morning? Can always bring more supplies then!

OP posts:
Brokenpancreas94 · 09/12/2023 22:39

@tulipsunday @suz2285 with my first pregnancy I had a holdall and backpack if I remember correctly, and then people were just bringing stuff in for me!
Going to 100% start sorting mine tomorrow! X
