@SurreyPsych how are you? Don't feel like I've seen you post for a few days

Belle26 · 23/08/2023 19:07

CinderRosie · 23/08/2023 17:14

@Belle26 I have had 3 episodes of spotting, twice between 4-5 weeks and again the other night. I’m 5+4 today. I’ve noticed it when wiping but at the next toilet visit it’s then gone. The cervix can get very sensitive in early pregnancy and cause spotting which I think/hope mine is, yours is probably nothing too especially if you aren’t getting cramps/fresh red blood.

Ahh thank you. It does sound like mine it has only been that once today. I haven't noticed it again. Fingers crossed everything is fine for both if us

maryd84 · 23/08/2023 19:51

Hi can I join. Due 20 April if everything goes OK. Feeling apprehensive as I had a miscarraige last year. 5+4 today. Very nauseous in the mornings and tiredness has really hit me yesterday and today. Had cramps a few days ago but they are gone now.

GinAndBearIt90 · 23/08/2023 20:54

@Poppins2016 my youngest is 15 months and he is exactly the same as how you describe yours in terms of feeding, in every way!! I weaned my eldest at around 20 months (same age gap this time) and I'm aiming for roughly the same this time just to leave a gap before baby arrives.

I've been lucky not to have feeding aversion yet this time but have had very painful nipples for feeds this last week or so 😫 not sore tonight though so hopefully it may be passing 🤞🤞

@sugarplum33 you are so thoughtful. I joined the WhatsApp and it’s BUSY :D so I’ve been there a lot.
Still feeling incredibly sick but I have some annual leave. Dating scan tomorrow :D
How are you? X

SurreyPsych · 23/08/2023 21:35

@chelau we also have a WhatsApp group. I’m not on Facebook so joined that one instead :)
the details are either in this thread or the first April 24 one.

you’d be welcome to join

Greenvelvetdress · 23/08/2023 22:15

@SurreyPsych that's exciting! When's your due date for it to be your dating scan? I'm due 1st April but only 8+4 so not got my dating scan for another few weeks x

CB23CB · 24/08/2023 06:52

So I've freaked myself out which isn't ideal. Did a digital test on the 15th which was 2-3 weeks and now another this morning 9 days later and it's still 2-3 weeks.
Has anyone else had this? When did you get your three weeks? I should have waited a little longer Confused

Cinderz123 · 24/08/2023 07:27

Morning @CB23CB iv read this happens loads with the digital tests so try not to worry urself too much, iv got another there and I was very much looking forward to taking it to see 3+ but after reading so many people not getting it when expected I opted not to I occasionally check on my pink dye strips and I'm getting dye stealers so that's enough for me right now I have my early scan tomorrow so I'm hoping from that il know either way where I'm headed xx

CinderRosie · 24/08/2023 07:30

@CB23CB how many weeks are you? I really wouldn’t worry, I have read of lots of women who never get a 3+ and go on to give birth to health babies, every body and pregnancy is different. Think I even read about a study which used the same sample of urine and 10 clear blue digital tests and some got 3+ and some 2-3! Crazy.

CB23CB · 24/08/2023 07:49

Thanks @CinderRosie @Cinderz123
I think I'm roughly 5 weeks. I usually have roughly a 28 day cycle but the one before I've conceived in was nearer 35 days.
I have no idea where I'm up to at this point! I'm eligible for an early scan at 8 weeks, just hoping I get there. You scrutinise every tiny detail don't you, I hate these early stages! Need to just try and chill out!

Rainbow890 · 24/08/2023 08:08

Yup im the same. Woke up in a panic. Not sure how i will manage work. Just cant shake a bad feeling

Ttcmumma · 24/08/2023 08:17

I know a lot of you aren't suffering many symptoms at the moment (I didn't with my first pregnancy and he's 5 now so please don't panic) however my morning sickness is getting quite bad now, well nausea anyway, Ive managed to hold back the vomit for now. Gum usually massively does the trick for me but I can't even get in the shower yet this morning I feel awful. Anyone know any good tricks to help? I'm 6+5 going from lmp so a little ahead some of you too x

Bluesky85 · 24/08/2023 08:44

@Ttcmumma my advice is to get up and eat something as soon as you can. Even if it’s just a cracker or a piece of fruit. I’m 8 weeks and really struggling at the mo and finding it so hard to get out of bed. But the longer I leave it the sicker I feel and the only thing that helps a bit is eating even though it’s the last thing I feel like doing! X

Ttcmumma · 24/08/2023 09:13

@Bluesky85 thank you! Eating seems like the last thing you want to do, I actually often skip until lunch and to be fair I feel better then... Will definitely give I a go. Thank you!

I decided to stop using the CB tests with the weeks indicator, I think they just feed anxiety! My first one was 2-3 weeks on the 12th when I would have been 4+5 so it was bang on, but I did another a week later (mostly due to worry abut lack of symptoms) and it still said 2-3 weeks which just started to make me panic. Lots of Googling suggested that they aren't really accurate enough to rely on and that some people never get a 3+ so I decided I'm done with them!

chelau · 24/08/2023 09:56

Thanks @SurreyPsych ill have a look for the link :)

CinderRosie · 24/08/2023 10:07

I also find that eating as soon as you get up helps. My current breakfast is a chopped banana with honey on top. I don't always fancy it but feel better for having it. Work is hard with the nausea and fatigue, very much looking forward to the 3 day weekend.

SurreyPsych · 24/08/2023 12:11

@Greenvelvetdress this is one I’ve paid for. An 8 week dating scan. I’m similar to you, around 8+2. My NHS one is towards the end of September

Ttcmumma · 24/08/2023 12:42

@CinderRosie thank you! Yes I'm worried about when my son goes back to school and I need to be up and out much earlier. ATM I work for my own company so I'm just going in slightly later

ASGIRC · 24/08/2023 14:15

@Ttcmumma Talk to your GP and start taking anti sickness tabs! They are indicated for pregnancy and will likely help a lot!
Dont just suffer through it!

Im feeling really anxious about my 9 week scan next week. Had a horrible dream tonight, about forgetting baby in a car, in the horrible heat... And then heard of a pregnancy loss, and it has just thrown me into a spiral of worry.
I know there is not much I can do, and last week I had a great scan, with good heartbeat, so everything should still be fine, but I cant help but worry.

Greenvelvetdress · 24/08/2023 15:47

@SurreyPsych ahhhh okay 🥰 I had a couple early on and was tempted to book a private one around 8 weeks but my husband wasn't keen so waiting for my 12 week one on 19th sept. Hope you're goes okay x

GB91 · 24/08/2023 19:42

Hi ladies,
Is it okay to join this late in the thread? My due date is around April 25th, first time pregnancy and I've found it so reassuring to read through the thread as I haven't had many symptoms yet either. I was exhausted the last 2 weeks but it has eased this week, which should be a good thing but also has me slightly worried! Pregnancy is all I think about atm and we haven't told anyone yet as it's so early, so not having many people to speak to about it is tough! x

Rainbow890 · 24/08/2023 21:58

Just want to come on here and reassure anyone worried about reduced symptoms or no symptoms. At 7+2 i suddenly felt my very few mild symptoms just vanish and a feeling of doom. Booked an urgent scan and all is well with a healthy pregnancy, in the right place and strong heartbeat. (Measuring 7+1)

The sonographer said its so much more common than we think having no or minimal symptoms. Think of it like bad restaurant reviews....people are more likely to shout loud about a bad experience rather than a good one.

Hope it helps anyone worried about minimal symptoms

Poppins2016 · 24/08/2023 22:53

Re symptoms - I'll echo the others - don't worry about the lack of them!

With my last (second) pregnancy I posted on here because I was worried about not having any nausea at 5 weeks (I definitely started feeling it a little at that point with my first). By the time I had an early scan (6 +3) I was still feeling fine. Then the nausea hit me around 8 weeks (should have been more careful about what I wished for🤣)! This pregnancy has been interesting because I felt nauseous really early on (before my missed period) and I'm pretty sure it's worse than both of my previous pregnancies (I'm just past 6 weeks). Just goes to show every pregnancy is different, even with the same woman.
