@Mrsttcno1 my midwife said "it's no longer routine for pregnant women" so I mentioned it on this thread when someone asked about it. Then someone else posted recent up to date guides that indicate that it should be given to pregnant women now (I guess my midwife hadn't been updated re the new guidance). I'll see if I can find a link...

How is everybody getting on?

How is everybody getting on?

All good I think!

Symptoms are easing off which is a worry but I know it's normal for them to settle. I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow, which is a milestone for me. I'm hoping it's the progesterone that's made a difference this time.

The last loss I suffered in November last year was at 8 weeks.

I've got my booking appointment on Wednesday.

How are you doing?

theodora2146 · 18/09/2023 08:36

Does anyone have the Facebook and WhatsApp group links?

@susugarplum33 good thankyou how are you? Im 8 weeks today got my rescan booked tmrw hoping my dates are correct this time, lasf time i was showing 1 week behind. My boobs have been killing so badly past few weeks i think i will stick to sports bras for the next few months🤭 how are you getting along do you have any symptoms? Xx

Iamcatmum · 18/09/2023 09:55

@Babyrabbit1 I’m 8 +3 today - other than being a bit spotty and more hungry, I’m not experiencing many symptoms which concerns me. I did have nausea for a couple of weeks but it doesn’t seem too bad now.

Think I’m similar with waiting to tell family - I’ll at least wait until my 12 week scan I think. Would be nice to do it in person, but my parents live about 5 hours away so probably not going to work out that way!

@iamcatmum aw bless you must be awful living so far away from your parents. Maybe you can announce it on face time? Regarding symptoms omg im the same. Luckily ive had no neusea only thing im suffering from backache, boobs are killing and horrible spots. I think because i havent physically thrown up i keep thinking im not pregnant lol😂

Misty84 · 18/09/2023 14:16

I don’t have the spot outbreak but I do have sore boobs and nausea. Oh and always hungry! Must be careful not to eat too much!🫢
10+1 today

Misty84 · 18/09/2023 14:17

And ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED from about 3pm onwards!!!

CinderRosie · 18/09/2023 15:47

9+1 today and just had my booking appointment. My sore boobs have eased off a lot, still hurt first thing in the morning after a night of no bra. Food aversions and nausea have eased, although I get random out of the blue spells of retching/gagging which isn't fun. Still soooo bloated.

Edited to add that I'm sleeping for about 9-10 hours a night 😮

sweetdreams23 · 18/09/2023 17:05

8 + 5 here and potentially coming out the other end of food aversions i
hope 🤞🏼 still feel nauseous when I wake up, really painful boobs, tired, constant hunger and major bloat come the evening. Also weeing frequently. Planning on telling parents this week which suddenly makes it all feel more real!

Pinkstuffs · 18/09/2023 17:27

I’m 9 weeks, I have suffered really badly with nausea which was awful last week but seems to be slightly better today. I’m still really tired, going to bed at 7.30pm most nights! My boobs are sore on and off, my skin is awful with spots (about 20 new ones cropped up last night) and I’m bloated. My constipation is on and off. Anyone else finding it impossible to clean their teeth without retching?!

I think you’re right - might end up being a face time. Yeah it’s really sad not having them near - the reality of not having grandparent support nearby is setting in a bit as well! It’s so weird - we don’t actually want to be sick of course because it’s horrible, but it seems like such a classic sign of pregnancy it’s a bit disconcerting not to have it happen!

theodora2146 · 18/09/2023 17:32

Yes the teeth thing!

My nausea only seems to creep up now when I've not eaten for a few hours. 8+6 today

Only sore boobs first thing in the morning now, but still very tired and napping in the afternoon! The bloating is awful! I look 6 months pregnant already 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've also notice my eyes are sensitive in the shower when the water runs on my face, anyone else get that?

Never really heard that one! Could your eyes be sensitive due to tiredness at all? Xx

Hopefulfirstround · 19/09/2023 07:57

12w now , I can’t believe it !!! Scan of Friday so fingers crossed , I’m Finally not feeling so nauseous but I’ve been feeling so faint in work , I’ve had to slip away and sit on the bathroom floor quite a few times. I’ve been eating so much , I’ve gained quite a bit of weight so getting back to exercise this week now that the vomiting has stopped , just trying to be kind to myself and avoiding the scales 😂

dory0 · 19/09/2023 11:12

I’m 9w now and the tiredness is next level. I’m sleeping a good 9 hours a night and I’m still shattered. Nausea is there most of the time but gets worse if I don’t eat anything for a couple of hours. My booking appointment with the midwife isn’t until next week at 10+1.

Starting to feel guilty that my diet isn’t the most nutritious, but it’s a real struggle to eat things I don’t want!

I’d love to get back into some exercise too @Hopefulfirstround - maybe in a few weeks….

Hopefulfirstround · 19/09/2023 17:36

@dory0 this week is the first week I could even dream about doing something , hopefully you’ll be able in a week or two. I’m still veeerrry slow moving , certainly not doing anything high intensity

Babyrabbit1 · 19/09/2023 18:48

Hey so i went in for my scan thinking im 8+1 according to my last ultrasound, but apparently im 6+5. She couldnt locate a heartbeat with the external scan so has referred me for an internal one. She said there is growth since my last private scan but she cannot hear heartbeat and it may be due to being so early, not sure what to believe but i need answers😔 hoping someone can tell me the same happened to them but there was a positive outcome after

Mrsttcno1 · 19/09/2023 19:35

Hi @Babyrabbit1, if there’s been roughly the amount of expected growth since your last scan I wouldn’t worry. My midwife was speaking to me about scans etc at my appointment last week as I also had an early scan at 7+3 and she basically said she has a love hate relationship with early scans as it can be 5-7 days out which can cause worry, but she also said that as long as the growth progression is as expected there’s not necessarily anything to worry about. So as long as there has been the correct amount of growth or thereabouts since the last scan it’s not necessarily a worry x

Thank you🥺 @Mrsttcno1 - i feel so crap, i dont think i will ever go for an early preg scan ever again, she said there has been growth and she will call the epu tomorrow to book me in for an internal instead of me coming back over and over for an external, i will keep everyone updated🥺🥺 im due im may now but im staying in this group lol

Mrsttcno1 · 19/09/2023 19:43

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow with the internal scan. My scan at 7+3 was internal and was so clear compared to my friends who had external at 7 weeks, so they will defo be able to have a better look that way!

The scans are such a lovely but also such a worrying experience. I have my next scan on Friday and I’m already worrying! X

sugarplum33 · 19/09/2023 20:33

@Babyrabbit1 Sorry your scan didn't offer much reassurance! When was your last scan and what were you measuring then? Fingers crossed they get you another scan sorted soon and you get some more reassuring news.

I'm 9+3 and dare I say it I feel a bit better the past few days. Brushing my teeth is still hard work though 🤢🤣

@ssugarplum33 apparently my last scan the dates were given wrong, the lady didnt measure my sac properly (only found out today) so technically the last time i went i was actually 5 weeks only, so this time round im 6+5 - only good thing is there is growth since my last scan app, she will try to get me in with the epu for an internal im hoping its soon. If i had known my last scan was at 5 weeks i would have waited another 3 weeks for a rescan, some people just dont do there job properly and it causes alot of stress, anxiety ugh & aw bless you have you tried kids toothpaste instead heard it helps lol
