Welcome @Hopefulfirstround! That’s wonderful after the struggle and losses you’ve experienced to get to this point, congratulations!💐
I’ve had 2 failed ivf rounds and 1 miscarriage over 4+years of TTC. Had a 9 week reassurance scan this morning and all is ok, so happy and hopeful 🥰🌈

Bluesky85 · 11/09/2023 18:06

@olderthanyouthink hi I didn’t join the WhatsApp group as I thought it was set up for people due mid April onwards? I’m due 4 April. Is there another group for those due earlier in the month? Thanks

olderthanyouthink · 11/09/2023 18:08

There's people all throughout the month, some will probably end up may and some march. Doesn't matter, dates will change at 12 weeks scan's anyway.

Hey just a heads up, we're looking at closing the WhatsApp to new people as it's grown a bit recently so if you'd like to join it might be worth hopping on now.

Fair warning we're REALLY talkative but you don't have to keep up.

Don't worry about being anxious or bringing people down or anything we've got worries aplenty and are a friendly and supportive bunch.

Thanks for the heads up, I've just requested to join... was going to wait until after the 12 week scan but sounds like that would be too late!

Hopefulfirstround · 12/09/2023 08:08

Lads , I have no clothes at all for the change in weather , I was going to invest this year on some staples but obviously my body is about to change 🫠 which is amazing but it does rise a challenge. I’m trying my best to be environmentally conscious ,does anyone have any good solutions for some sustainable maternity clothes ?

Greenvelvetdress · 12/09/2023 08:12

@Hopefulfirstround I'm going to look at vinted! My friend said a lot of maternity clothes get put on their because people don't wear them for long x

Hopefulfirstround · 12/09/2023 08:17

@Greenvelvetdress ive never heard of vinted, brill , I’ll give a look now !

Little bit of positivity for anyone else who has had the same. Went for my rescan today after a scan 2 weeks ago showed only a gestational sac and yolk sac which was measuring around 5 weeks when I thought I was over 6. Went back today and baby was there with a great heartbeat. Measuring 7wk 6 days. Could see it really clearly as a little baby which is such a relief.

CluelessInLondon · 12/09/2023 12:20

Hi everyone, I am going to bow out of this thread - the bleeding I posted about on Sunday morning is now confirmed as a miscarriage, I had a scan at EGU this morning which confirmed no heartbeat. Wanted to say thanks to those who have provided advice/support on various things over the last few weeks, including posts I haven't interacted directly with - it's been a big help at a time when almost nobody I know was aware I was pregnant. Wishing you all lots of luck in your pregnancies and happy and healthy babies in April. xx

Bluesky85 · 12/09/2023 12:21

@CluelessInLondon oh no I’m really sorry to hear this, that’s really sad. Xxx

xxcxdonxx · 12/09/2023 14:20

@Babyrabbit1 ahh I really hope you get a positive outcome! I found the wait really dragged! the sonographer said how hard it is to get accurate dates at this point. First she measured baby at 7wk 3 and then a few minutes later when she got a better angle it was 7wk 6- which just shows how easily it can be off. fingers crossed for you!

theodora2146 · 13/09/2023 11:32

Had my early scan this morning, everything is looking good at the moment. They did spot a small bleed next to gestational sac but said currently nothing to worry about, has anyone else had this?

I'm also measuring further than what I thought, estimated due date is 23rd April and I'm 8w+1 I've got a second scan booked on 2nd October to check on progress and I've been prescribed progesterone due to previous losses.

Here is the little blob, heart was beating away 🥰

I’m 10th Apr 2024! Xx

Butterfliesandroses · 13/09/2023 12:48

@theodora2146 congratulations on a positive scan. I was told the exact same at my early scan. They also told me it was nothing to worry about, although I paid for a private scan 2 weeks later and the bleed has got bigger. Could I ask whether the follow up scan was offered to you because of the bleed or other reasons?

Oh no! Is everything still okay for you?

They offered me a follow up at EPU due to history of recurrent miscarriages.

Butterfliesandroses · 13/09/2023 13:21

@theodora2146 thank you for getting back to me. I also have a history of RM (most recent one was 2nd trimester). It's frustrating how different areas offer different support. It's great that your area are being supportive though!

It was a private scan so they didn't advise me of anything other than it being large (and 2 weeks prior at NHS scan they had called it small) so I feel a little in limbo, although my 12 week scan is in 2 and a bit weeks so I may have to just wait for that x

sugarplum33 · 13/09/2023 13:52

Brilliant news @theodora2146 :)

Misty84 · 14/09/2023 05:54

Hi @theodora2146 I had a bleed which they said was blood next to the sac, at the scan they could see there was more blood there and advised that it would likely either come out or be reabsorbed. Mine came out a week later which was scary but luckily because they told me about it I was reassured that it wasn’t the start of a MC.

The fact they’ve told you it’s nothing to worry about hopefully means that it shouldn’t impact things! And things are looking very healthy measuring well and strong heartbeat!🙌

Misty84 · 14/09/2023 05:59

@Butterfliesandroses Im so sorry to read about the MC you had in the second trimester, how many weeks were you and could they identify a reason for the loss?
They should definitely be providing you with extra reassurance scans!☹️
It’s alarming when we assume once we get to 12 weeks we’re safe 😐Is there ever a time to stop worrying?!
