@ASGIRC @sugarplum33 is it?! Well that makes me feel better, I thought I was just making excuses 😂

I’m gonna try and have some veggies with my tea tonight.. but I really won’t enjoy it 😂

ASGIRC · 28/08/2023 17:10

@Lbw1292 for me, if I actually eat anything I dont fancy, I get sick. So i dont recommend it! But it is up to you!
To be fair, any nutrients will be used, regardless of whether they are from greens or carbs.
Just eat what you can.

I find a lot of "pregnancy advice" is really patronising and treats pregnant women like morons. And the "healthy eating" one, in particular drives me up the wall. If you fancy some veggies, eat them! But if you dont, dont worry about it. Theres time to eat them further along.

Hi all. Had my early scan which has put me at 8 weeks. Little one fine, nice little heart beat. ❤️

But they’ve found a fibroid. It wasn’t there 10 weeks ago when I had a pelvic ultrasound so it’s new…but now am worried as can cause all sorts of complications. It’s small at the mo (but bigger than the baby) - ugh. 😞

Emmerdaleaddict · 28/08/2023 18:17

Hello everyone! New here, I got a positive text today and last week, I am around 5 weeks today so due 28/4. Is there a Facebook group yet? It'll be my second and I'm weirdly more anxious this time round!

Oh no I'm sorry. Have they given you a plan of action?

So I think my crappy year is continuing, I think I'm having my third MC. To top it off my due date for the first MC would have been this week. I wish your brain didn't remember things like that.
I'm going to call the EPU tomorrow, they are closed today and see if I can get in this week. I return to work on Friday for the autumn term, I just can't seem to catch a break.
Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

Oh lovely I'm so sorry. Really hope you can be seen and it's not what you think xx

CinderRosie · 28/08/2023 20:06

@CB23CB im so sorry you’re going through this. Hope you get into EPU and get some positive news x

Congrats! Im 6 weeks too🥰 baby number 1 also, i didnt know chemicals can still happen after week 6😶

sugarplum33 · 29/08/2023 06:52

@Babyrabbit1 Pregnancy loss before 5 weeks is called a chemical pregnancy and after 5 weeks it is referred to as a miscarriage. It's not possible to have a chemical pregnancy at 6 weeks however any form of pregnancy loss would make you nervous about experiencing a further loss, which I think is what the PP is referring to.

@Bexxy28 Congratulations and I hope this pregnancy is healthy and successful.

dory0 · 29/08/2023 07:27

Congrats @Bexxy28 i think I’m a day behind you. Also with #1.

My nausea is getting worse each day, waking up with a very hungover feeling. I ordered some bands and am going to stock up on plain snacks I can try to eat before getting out of bed. Any other tips welcome…

dory0 · 29/08/2023 07:29

@CB23CB I hope you can be seen in the EPU today, fingers crossed it’s not what you think x

Ohh dear 🥺 yes ginger nuts seem to be the best! I feel nauseous before during and after eating - cant seem to eat a lot and just been drinking so much water I'm sooo thirsty!!

Noodles4Me · 29/08/2023 08:22

@faban no plans. The clinic gave me a report with measurements and I’ve now filled in my midwife booking form so I guess I discuss with them. If the fibroid doesn’t grow, then all should be fine…but estrogen can make them grow and there’s a lot of that about in pregnancy 😩

I also have a fibroid and have always been told they shouldn't cause any issues. I have an early scan today so it will be interesting what they say x

Noodles4Me · 29/08/2023 09:03

@sweetdreams23 oh good luck at your scan and I’m sure there won’t be any issue with the fibroid. x

I’m sure mine will be fine too, I’m just concerned it wasn’t there 10 weeks ago but now is so could be related to pregnancy hormones. And I get terrible pregnancy anxiety anyway which doesn’t help! 🤦🏼‍♀️

WolfMother326 · 29/08/2023 09:13

@Bexxy28 @dory0 my nausea is so awful now and I'm only 6+3. Dreading weeks 8-9. Managing to have a bit of food helps but it definitely sounds awful before during and after.

Ah thanks for clarifying for me❤

hopefulmum46 · 29/08/2023 11:43

Had my first scan today and all looking good. Massive ovaries after my IVF stimulation but they should apparently settle once the placenta is fully functional at 10 weeks. Baby measuring exactly the right gestational age 🥰

CinderRosie · 29/08/2023 11:46

@WolfMother326 Also 6+3 and my nausea seemed to arrive on Saturday at 6 weeks on the dot! Today I'm in the office after the long weekend and this morning has been a struggle at my desk with waves of nausea. I had toast as soon as I woke up and have nibbled ginger biscuits/sipped lemonade/cold water.

WolfMother326 · 29/08/2023 13:11

@CinderRosie I feel your pain! Trying to work through it is no fun. I was just eating crackers but now I've tried more food that sounds gross but actually makes me feel better after/not as weak, like a very small portion of beans on toast.

@hopefulmum46 congratulations on the good scan, how far along are you?

sweetdreams23 · 29/08/2023 13:45

Had a scan today due to previous losses. Saw gestational sac and yolk sac in the right place! Measuring a little bit earlier but she did say they give and take a good 5 days either way at this point as they are measuring mm. Prescribed progesterone pessaries- if anyone else has been on them or is currently on them what are they like? Any side effects?
Rescan in 2 weeks and hope to see heart beat then.🤞🏼
