I'm also feeling the love for beige food... My current favourites are salted crisps... but I'm also enjoying chocolate (particularly Mars bars) when my blood sugar levels are low/I need to eat pronto due to the nausea. I'm actually mildly dairy intolerant so my digestive system isn't thanking me 🤦‍♀️

Cinderz123 · 26/08/2023 20:04

Pickled onion monster munch or sea Brooks Canadian ham crisps are my favourite at the minute 😋😋 when I was pregnant with my son (9 years ago now 😱) it was creme eggs and grapes I used to eat so many they were constantly testing me for diabetes as my urine samples used to flag up all the sugar 😆 luckily never got gestational diabetes I dunno how I'd of got through that one on a restricted diet

Ttcmumma · 26/08/2023 22:20

Currently around 7 weeks, I went through a crisp phase last week. Ate 6 bags like it was nothing, didn't even realise until my son commented on it 🤣. Today I have just wanted and lived off of tinned ravioli?! Wth lol

Ttcmumma · 26/08/2023 22:22

@Cinderz123 omg my last pregnancy it I spent the entire 14 weeks eating sourdough bread and creme eggs. Even tho I felt sick I wanted nothing more 🤣 so weird what the body does!

WolfMother326 · 26/08/2023 22:51

I'm somewhere between the beige junky problem and the can't eat problem. All I want is cake textures but can't handle sweet. So, plain croissants and pancakes. Everything else makes me queasy. Forcing down some fruit and veg. The idea of salty crisps is horrendous. I'm 6+0 today, felt like this for almost a week.

ASGIRC · 27/08/2023 00:29

I ma having severe food aversions, which make me feel nauseous, but not real nausea.

Its not about the beige food for me, its about whatever doesnt give me the ick!
Recently its been tuna mayo in hotdog buns, and ham and cheese brioche sandwiches.
Apart from that, McDonalds. But other fast food does NOT sound appealing at all.

Cant even think about cooking, cause... barf!

Im bored of it and I want my appetite back! I love a sourdough, but cant touch it, currently... same with interesting cheese. But I AM hungry, which makes everything even harder!

Also, if I eat "too much" (the measure is random) I get nauseous. Its fun...

Im 8+2 now...

Lbw1292 · 27/08/2023 06:34

Morning everyone :) I’ve been a bit quiet the past few days because been feeling anxious and nervous. I still don’t have my first scan date and I am apprehensive to book a private one just yet as I am supposed to be 6w+1 but I didn’t ovulate until CD20, so I may be measuring slightly behind that.

Got my 3+ today with clear blue and got a dye stealer on another clear blue, so I really think my baby is telling me to chill!! As a worrier, I am finding this hard but great evil for each day I am pregnant 🤍✨

I have been super tired the past few days but my appetite is still the same thankfully - hope you are all doing okay and I have enjoyed reading your updates xx

I can completely relate to this! I want food but can’t face the thought of eating and, when I do eat, the stomach ache is awful! Plain, salty crackers are about all I can stomach.

Caitlin991 · 27/08/2023 06:56

Morning :)
I’ve got an early scan booked in for this morning (should be about 8.5 weeks) & I can’t shake this bad feeling I’ve got.

I’m also starving hungry but the thought of everything makes me nauseous. All I want right now is some cold, crispy green grapes, which of course we don’t have. You’d think your body would work with you when you’re trying to grow a tiny human, rather than making getting nutrients in so difficult 😂

xxcxdonxx · 27/08/2023 07:23

@Lbw1292 morning!
Sorry to hear you are feeling anxious, I’m sure most of us here can relate in some
way, I know I certainly can.
I know there is nothing I can really say to reassure you but progression on your tests sounds like a real positive 🥰
I don’t have any early scans booked as yet but I would try and wait to closer to the 7 week mark, especially if you know you ovulated a little later to give you a nice clear image.
Hope you are doing ok x

xxcxdonxx · 27/08/2023 07:27

@Caitlin991 morning! That’s great you have a scan booked in for this morning, hopefully it’s an early one and you aren’t waiting about for too long. It is really difficult not to worry, I am so guilty of it, but thinking positively for you.

I have zero symptoms at the moment, cue some more worry, but I did feel really nauseous on the train home from work the other night so I’ll take it 😂

let us know how you get on today x

Growinganaries · 27/08/2023 07:30

Also feeling anxious!
I'm 8w4d and suddenly all my symptoms have gone..: I used to have really tender breasts, food aversion, really bad exhaustion, nausea..: they've all completely gone the last couple of days :(( I did a pregnancy test last night and the line definitely isn't as dark as it was when I was around 5 weeks and last tested....still only just a dye stealer though...
I had a scan at 6w3d and have another one booked at 10w5d, so I guess there's nothing to do but wait in between... but worried!

Caitlin991 · 27/08/2023 07:33

@xxcxdonxx Scan is at 9am, so thankfully not too long to wait now! It was supposed to be yesterday, but they had to move it.

I had zero symptoms with my son, it was bliss feeling good but definitely made the anxiety worse. I naively thought this pregnancy would be the same 😂

Cinderz123 · 27/08/2023 07:51

@Ttcmumma one of my last pregnancies I was bread mad, my boss figured out I was hiding something by the amount of it I ate as I do usually eat well so seeing me on a daily bread binge she just knew lol iv woken up this morning ravenous again today

xxcxdonxx · 27/08/2023 07:54

@Growinganaries it still sounds like a really strong test you had 💜 Is there not something that the further along you are then the tests can be less accurate as they are meant to detect hcg in early pregnancy?

I would take your precious scan as a positive sign and try not to worry too much about symptoms, they may return!

Exciting to hear about the scans please update us afterwards! I turned 6 weeks yesterday and we ended up telling both sets of parents as the 6 of us had a drinks and nibbles afternoon and I was retching in the car on the way there and looked like death. They were all happy and excited but now I’m extra stressed something is going to go wrong or will be wrong with the baby and we will have to give them sad news. Two weeks today til our 8 week scan.

I am also in camp beige - although I’m also craving the no melon fresh fruit salad from M&S and will need to get some more today but the thought of a normal salad makes me feel 🤢

Pinkstuffs · 27/08/2023 08:48

I’m 6 weeks today but have woken up with a little bleeding - is this normal? I’ve been really constipated so after straining hard there was a little pink blood which has now turned to brown discharge. I’m so worried now though 😕

Greenvelvetdress · 27/08/2023 09:05

@Pinkstuffs spotting can be normal if there's no pain alongside it and it isn't bright red clots etc and it stops. I had some around 6 weeks and had good scans afterwards x

Sangels267 · 27/08/2023 09:07

@Pinkstuffs I had some spotting around 6 weeks, my scan was completely fine a few days ago. As long as it's not bright red and no pain with it.

hopefulmum46 · 27/08/2023 09:13

Food aversions are so strange. I've always had cereal and milk for breakfast but the thought of it at the moment makes me want to gag. I've been having toast for the last few weeks but I've gone off that as well now. Trying to work out what to have for breakfast this morning as nothing I think of appeals. I do need to eat as if I don't I feel more nauseous! Feel like I'm fighting a losing battle here lol.

Got my first scan on Tuesday, very excited but terrified it'll be bad news (no reason for thinking this!). Hope your scan is all good @Caitlin991

Rainbow890 · 27/08/2023 09:31

Sounds like this thread is having an anxious turn...its just so hard in early pregnancy.

Ive had 2 scans this week (only went yesterday as we couldnt change our pre-paid appt) and both times ive been told its all looking healthy and strong with a strong heartbeat...

Yet im all upset today as i just dont have symptoms (sorry to be insensitive to those feeling awful)

Only symptoms are tiredness when im doing stuff out the house and sore boobs that are now intermittent and not as sore as before. Insomnia during the night too

Thats it.

Im measuring between 7+4 and 8 weeks. 2 scans this week yet i still feel its not normal to feel as normal

It is isnt it!

I feel exactly the same... except haven't had a scan for a couple of weeks.
Hopefully with a few of us feeling similar it's within the (apparently pretty wide!) spectrum of normalities!

Hope you are feeling ok today xx

Caitlin991 · 27/08/2023 10:04

@hopefulmum46 my scan went well, little blob had a nice heartbeat & was wiggling away. She actually measured me at about 9w2days, so a week ahead of where I thought I was & pushed me to a March EDD!

Hope your scan goes well :)
