Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi all! I’ve woke up feeling under the weather, like the start of a cold. I got up to pee and there is a brown like stain in my pants. I can’t even explain how I know it’s not blood. There is absolutely nothing when I wipe. It looks more like it’s pee. I was given iron tablets at my 12w scan…. Has anyone heard of their pee being stained while on iron supplements? My poo is definitely effected by them but this is the first i’ve had this and a bit worried

@PeeBeee I used to take iron tablets a few years ago for about 6 months, tmi but made my poo black as anything but I don't recall any wierdness related to discharge or my pee.

Funny you should mention it though, I also have what I thought was old brown blood discharge in my underwear most days. I had a lot of bleeding in the first trimester so I assumed it was just a continuation of that but it does seem weird like you say it's not when I wipe. I wonder if it's actually your discharge is full of iron and it goes that rusty colour after it's been exposed to the air after a while so you don't notice a colour change when you wipe?

@LavenderSweetPea i am so stressed about it now. Rang EOU and as I am not having any period like cramps that shes not concerned. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I haven’t bled at all in either, not even implantation bleeding so I am worried. Might call my doc when they open to see if they will take a urine sample or something to rule out an infection x

@PeeBeee try not to worry, but yes best to check for an infection if you can. If it's not normal for you it's best to get it checked out, but it's unlikely to be anything bad - they might even confirm it's just a weird side effect of the iron tablets

Sorry I've been MIA, we're moving house so getting packed up is taking all my time and energy. Trying to catch up with all the posts I've missed.
Hope everyone is getting on well! I've starting losing my eyebrows and my eyelashes are getting short and stubby, I'm guessing it's a girl! Happened my last pregnancy and it was a girl so that's my scientific experiment results 🤣

@PeeBeee if you move your scan, they might be able to tell boy or girl anyway. I had a scan last time at 14 weeks and it was very clear to the sonographer. Hope it all goes okay, it's always worrying when these things out of the ordinary happen. I lost a bit of my mucus plug earlier this week, and I felt a bit panicked. But they found the heartbeat easily at my midwife 18 week checkup

Hey lovelies…. Can anyone reassure me that this is going to get better??! 😩😩
I’m 15 weeks today and was hoping to feel a bit better by now but I’m still feeling terrible!
i generally manage breakfast but start feeling nauseous very soon after and sieve the rest of the day struggling to eat or drink anything at all. I’m sick every day, sometimes just stomach acid but sometimes stuff I’ve eaten.
move got zero energy, I just want to sleep all the time.
I work evenings so it’s a real struggle 😵‍💫 and I can’t get on with Cyclizine as it makes me too drowsy to work!!
I was holding out for 12 weeks, then 14 weeks but still no change!
it’s really getting me down 😞

@Kelb79 go back and get something other than cyclizine. It's a first line drug and there are more effective ones up the treatment ladder

@Kelb79 sorry to hear you’re feeling so poorly :( have you spoke to your midwife/doctor about it? I think some ladies get it worse than others but I’m wondering if you have that hypermeis thing (sorry I can’t remember how it’s spelt) I believe they can give medication to help if needed (also sorry if you allready know/done this) I hope you feel better soon xx

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you! Rang my doc to get checked to make sure it wasnt an infection that needed treated as after talking to eou first thing, I wasn’t concerned. Showed doc the pic of what i woke up to and she said ‘oh i think eou should see you to rule out miscarriage’😔 she totally put the fear of god into me so went up to eou at 3pm and they seen the pic and was like oh is that it, thats just discharge mixed with a tiny bit of old blood, when your doc rang she said it was alot😒, scanned me anyway and heart beating away and no blood around baby! Xx

Morning ladies, is anyone else having really bad hip pain at night? It’s waking me up several times. I’ve got a pillow between my legs but it doesn’t seem to help much.

In better news I had a scan of my cervix yesterday and baby was healthy and cervix nice and long and closed. I’ll have them biweekly to try keep this baby growing longer than 25 weeks.

I've woke up this morning with a terrible pain between my belly button and pelvic area.
I've read I'm in prime place for ligament pain but I never had this with my first or had it before so no idea if it's that?

No blood or other symptoms just a pain. I've lay down incase trapped wind but nothings moving.
I woke up on my side but pretty much on my stomach if that makes sense and I have a bump already so not sure if it's due to my sleeping position!
Going to invest a pillow to see if it helps.

Has anyone had anything like this before?

@Sunshineclouds11 I've had regular pains and also twinges just above the belly button along the top of my bump. Midwife yesterday at my 16 week appointment said it would be my intestines and organs inside moving up. She also felt my uterus, and said it was just below my belly button.

Not sure if that's applies to you? If it doesn't get better today, might be worth giving them a quick call or text and asking what they think?

@Kelb79 I’m so sorry you are going through this. I am similar and still being sick most days. 😔 I think we have the same due date? I do remember with DD2 the sickness eased around 16 weeks, so that’s been my ultimate goal/ cut off for not losing hope. Reallt hope this is the case for you and it finally eases in the next week or so x

@Nemo145 glad to hear your surgery went well. I had my first cervical length scan yesterday and was 3.39cm which I think is ok, but got a follow up with consultant on Tuesday for next steps on regularity of scans. Im already using progesterone so we can keep baby cooking as long as possible!

@Hayley0203 still the same, i took paracetamol an hour ago and it's shifted a tiny bit but I'm still really uncomfortable.

I'm going to ring triage I think

im so sorry you’ve got it too but it’s definitely good to not be alone in it 🫣🫣 it’s seriously depressing isn’t it?! I feel like a complete failure when I see other women “glowing” and I’m a complete mess!! 🫣🫣 praying for the 16 week turnaround 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

In Monday for the surgery and out Wednesday, feeling v sore and tender but all went well and they are happy with the cerclage. I had an epidural for the surgery so all prepped for labour now😅🙈 Deff feel once it all heals I’ll be less anxious of preterm birth 🤞🏽 Have to limit time on my feet though which is going to be tough in work🙈

on a positive side I had 5 scans of baby while in hospital and nurses used the Doppler 5/6 times so it was lovely to have all that reassurance esp after theatre.

@Kelb79 similar to u I’m still puking quite a bit, I’m over 16 weeks now and really thought it would have eased by now. Mine is like reflux or something coming up my throat so I start to gag and inevitably end up being sick 🙈

@LavenderSweetPea Mine was same as yours, a cervical length scan, it was 3.45 which the consultant was very happy with. Said anything over 3cm is good and if it’s getting to 2.5 a stitch would go in.
