Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

Has anyone travelled abroad whilst pregnant?
I'm flying to Turkey for a holiday when I will be 16 weeks pregnant and starting to worry.

Anyone have any tips? Foods to avoid?

Im probably just overthinking but the anxiety is kicking in 🙈

@Shrillwaffle I had Covid earlier in this pregnancy and was told to just avoid getting a fever by the midwife. So to take paracetamol to bring any temperate down, and have a lot of fluids.

@anony1111 yes I travelled last pregnancy and have overseas business trips and a holiday coming up in this one. I found it was fine, no real tips. For Turkey, I'd just be careful with ice cubes in drinks and probably stay away from salads. Cooked foods should be fine.

@anony1111 I’ve been abroad with all my pregnancies and they’ve all been fine except for this last one. We stayed with my husbands family in Morocco and I’ve had two stomach bugs in the space of a week which has been grim, hotels are very different than to staying with family. Buuuut baby is absolutely fine, so even if you do get poorly, just try as best you can to keep your fluids up.

I finally had my rescan for my dating scan today and very relieved that baby is looking all good. I feel like I can start to get excited about this little one now.

Hey ladies, I thought you might find it useful for those in areas that do the 16 week Doppler appointment to hear babies heartbeat that I just had mine at 16+3. They did tell me it could take a while but after a bit of searching they still weren't able to find his heartbeat. Luckily I was having my appointment at the hospital rather than at the usual community hub so they were able to get me straight in for a scan, and baby was absolutely fine, wriggling around waving his little hand, and his heartbeat was really easy to find and totally normal on the ultrasound.

Just thought I'd share this experience in case any of you have a Doppler appointment where they can't hear the heartbeat because I know if I was at the regular midwife hub I probably would have had to wait until tomorrow earliest for a reassurance scan and I would have been out of my mind with worry.

@Shrillwaffle im currently in hospital with covid, the hospital have been really supportive and are keeping me here on close observation with IV fluids. They just needed evidence of a positive test and fever x

@User0224 oh goodness hope you feel better soon! Are you staying in or just there for the test and stuff? I think if I still feel unwell tomorrow morning I’ll call someone it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’m paranoid AF with this pregnancy anyway terrified something is going to go wrong 😩

Thanks for sharing @LavenderSweetPea and pleased you got reassurance quickly. I have my 16 week appointment on Friday and kind of hoping they don't use the Doppler where I am.

After seeing different posts in regards to dopplers; I have mine on Monday and they do listen, I've read having a full bladder helps push baby closer so I'm hoping that tip helps or I'll be going out of my mind if they can't find it.

She done the Doppler at my 16 week app last week, it did take 2/3 minutes to find.
I was sweating. We did get it though.

She said cream on the belly can affect it so don't put any on.

For those of you who have had a 16 week appointment, do they need a urine sample? My bladder never cooperates under pressure so I'll collect some test pots and take it with me if they do!

Hi all. I hope everyone is well. Trying to catch up but I’ve been away for a few weeks and think I’ve missed too much, so just seen the most recent comments.

Has anyone got a visible bump yet and started feeling any movements? I’m 17 weeks today and my bump looks massive. I’m sure it’s bigger than it should be at this stage and for my first baby and it’s definitely not bloat any more. I can feel flutters too but is weird but lovely.

Hi ladies 👋 just thought I'd say currently on a 2 week holiday in Cornwall with the boys hence why I haven't posted in awhile, but I will be going back home this Saturday 🙁 love it down here don't ever want to go once I'm here 🤣 just thought I would let you all know aswell & maybe have some opinions to this 3d scan photo.. so I had a private scan yesterday evening just a well being check as needed the reassurance that little one is still ok(lovely first experience though in 3d aswell as the original 2d) & baby is thriving wouldn't stop wriggling around 🤣 well I made a comment as I couldn't help but notice something between babys legs & I said "looks like its another boy just seen a tail between its legs" but prior to this I asked with it been a non gender scan & if she could tell what baby was is it still possible for me to buy a gender reveal cannon(dad didn't want to know the gender btw, I'm impatient) & she said yes so anyway I've bought one & I couldn't help but ask her at the end of the scan when 2 of our children left the room,.. "so was it a boy i sor then" & she said, "no actually it's a girl".. totally don't believe her & won't obviously know for sure till my 20 week scan now 🤦‍♀️ don't know why I do these things to myself 🤣 obviously dad doesn't know a thing about it so I'm in limbo really so need as much help from you lovely ladies as I can get! 😁 sorry for long essay but anyway, would you say this is a girl or boy? 🤣 x

Ooh @MummyTo4BoysXXXX do you have a between the legs shot?

I had my gender scan (girl here) and she said it's very clear from 16 weeks and not easy to get it wrong at all. The girls have three distinct white lines (she called it a hamburger) that you can see in 2D between the legs. We were very surprised as expecting another boy. So it was nice she took the time to show us what she looks for and why.
