Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

How can something so small cause you to feel so crap 😫

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 apparently a more rounded forehead indicates girl and straight indicates boy - but there could be nothing in it at all.

Its difficult to tell from mine too as the photo was taken when they were 'mid swish'. Definitely can't see a nub either. I'm thinking boy based on what I can see on mine, husband has a very heavy/defined brow lol.

Hi lovely ladies! I had my 12 week scan today and dated 12+5 and my due date is Feb 7th so predicted corrected. Baby was bouncing around and I cried with joy. Here is the scan pic, anyone want to have a guess at the sex, feel free, my family think it’s a boy 🤷🏿‍♀️

Congrats on the scan @Ebonythoughts and best wishes to those with scans tomorrow.

We got our Harmony test results back today (had the scan and blood test a week ago, so pretty good turnaround time). All very low risk. I didn't realise how much I was worried about it until I felt the relief when I opened the email!

@Ebonythoughts congrats 🥰 will u find out the sex early or at birth? I wouldn’t have a clue looking at pics but I know some ppl swear by certain markers to tell.

@Cheetocat we have 2 cats that use to sleep in our room but when I was about 6ish months pregnant with lg, we closed them out so they didnt associate being closed out of our bedroom with the baby coming so by the time I gave birth, they were use to not sleeping in there.

with day naps, we used the travel system and if needed to go into kitchen, would wheel the pram in with me as the cats were intrigued and one would defo have jumped in. Shes 15 months now and they run away from her😅 they still arent allowed in our room or hers but have sleeping places in our spare room and go everywhere else x

@Cheetocat - I'm pleased you asked! I've been wondering the same thing. We have 2 indoor cats and they are very nosy and want to be involved in everything.

I'm told that babies are too unpredictable for cats so they keep their distance. Any stories/tips from anyone who has experience would be welcome though!

@Cheetocat I have 2 cats and a 15 month old. They didn't spend anytime in the same room as my daughter until very recently, they just ran away from her. It was almost like they didn't notice her, they sniffed her once and then no interest. Then she got louder and started crawling etc so they ran away from her. She can run after them now so one is loving the extra attention, the other still runs away from her. They're very good with her, the braver cat is very patient and we've taught her to pat him gently etc.

@PeeBeee I feel like we've so much in common, cats and a 15 month old and prgenant!🤣

Love seeing everyones scans.

We had our NIPT test today which had a scan. I thought I was 10+3 but they’ve dated at 11 weeks. Which reassured me as my symptoms have been better for the last few weeks or so so it makes sense.

Baby didn’t move much but we saw his heart beat and his little legs. Even got a picture of his little frog legs ❤️.

any guesses on the sex? I have a feeling it’s a boy but no clue from the ultrasound.

Oh I meant to ask, I had my first appointment with the midwife today. Lasted about 30minutes.
They then asked to come for a house visit tomorrow to get more past medical history and appointment would take about an hour. Anyone else had that? Thankfully I’m off work tomorrow. Just thought it was strange at how short notice it was.

Thanks for all the info on the cats, I think we'll do that, lock them out a few weeks before baby time. I think the girl wouldn't be too interested in a baby but our tomcat is a curious little rascal and he loves to burrow under any and all blankets. I think a cot or moses basket would be very enticing to him.

@poppychunks iv never heard of a home visit during pregnancy in my area but I could be a thing where you live.
