Finally managed to speak with my doctor regarding nausea, he's prescribed me promethazine teoclate. Has anyone taken this for sickness/nausea?

Glad you’re okay, ugh yes know exactly what you mean. Good for you for going to hr, hopefully they’ll be all over it as it opens them up to a legal minefield if that behaviour continues!!

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, last 2 weeks nausea hasn’t been as bad. I thought I’d sussed that as long as I didn’t let myself get too hungry I was okay. Today it’s back with a vengeance.

Does anyone else feel like they look really pregnant already? I'm 8w4d and i honestly feel I look about 6 months pregnant! It's my second but surely a bump doesn't come this early and it must all be bloat somehow even though it feels hard 🤔

@Silverpixieflorence does yours come and go or is it permanent? I bloat but it comes and goes. In the evening I can look six months pregnant but by the morning it's flat stomach again

@SmartiesParty it's permanent! Unless I'm just bloated all day every day I think it might be here to stay 😅

@Mummapenguin20 yes exactly the same as me! I went into the office yesterday (normally work from home) and I swear people were looking at my stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️

thinking of the ladies who are awaiting results, hoping the wait isn’t too painful x

I had my first midwife appointment yesterday at 17 weeks and my trust does use a doppler during appointments so I got to hear baby’s heartbeat for the first time 🥹 I also have a private scan today to hopefully find out gender! I had a dream two nights ago that it was a little girl 😂

anyone else having the strangest vivid dreams? Some nights I feel like I haven’t slept because I’m so busy in my dreams haha

Aww 🥰 my next 1 is a day before I'm 17 weeks and my trust(I live in wales) uses a Doppler too. But I'm rather scared cos I'm chunky anyway I feel they won't find baby to hear it then that'll make me panic 😖

In regards to the dreams, when I first found out I was pregnant I had dreams it was girl
Now it's always a boy so I can't wait to find out which dreams are true 😄
But yes the manic/odd dreams are happening to me too.
I few I dream every night now yet never used to 😂

@sherbertlemon17 yeah I’d ring as soon as you can, no harm in bringing it up. I’m still able to eat which is so weird and didn’t puke this morning (first in a few days) so I’m hoping that was just a hormone surge that’s finished now 🤞🏽

@Goblet93 I have vivid dreams often too, always a boy in my dreams but al predictions (early glimpse and nub techs etc) have come back girl which has totally thrown me 😂 just feel like I can’t imagine it being a girl. In for gender scan now this week coming 🥰🎉 so excited.

anyone that’s done gender reveal, do u just get boy or girl in an envelope and not find out at the actual scan? I’ll give the envelope to the ones that do up the balloons then and they’ll make it up. I’m just having both our parents that evening and we’ll pop the balloon with them 😅🤞🏽 Hope it goes ok

Is anyone else getting regular unsolicited body comments…depending on the day people are either saying “wow you really don’t look pregnant!” or “ooo I can see a little belly, you’re showing!” Like I really don’t need to be told daily how my belly looks thanks… 🫠

@User0224 I had my first one last week and I'm not sure if it's because it was SIL who I don't really like but it annoyed me! I was wearing a baggy t-shirt and she said ooh you've got a belly already, it was impossible for her to see so it just felt unnecessary.

Yep!! My MIL told me yesterday I was massive and I said yes that’s because I’m carrying six 🙄😂 I don’t get why people think this is okay. As if they wouldn’t be offended if we turned around and went “so do you, what’s your excuse” which is getting more and more tempting 😂

@CheeseAndCrackersx @DmcinT aren’t the vivid dreams so annoying 😂 it’s mad as well how the genders change in each dream!

I had my gender scan, I was absolutely convinced I was having a girl, nobody could tell me otherwise… and we have been told boy!! 😲 shocked is an understatement, still happy either way as my main concern is
health but I had such a strong feeling 😂

Also the thing that’s casting doubt now (which does not help me as I will just run with this) is that the US tech said during the private scan she changed her mind so many times during the scan before being sure as the cord was in the way. I’m sure it’s right but I will need the 20 week one to tell me boy as well so I’m outnumbered 😂

Thanks everyone who suggested I call the midwife. I left her a message and before she got back to me I’d managed to keep down half a cup of tea, so she’s going to call back this morning to see if I’m any better. Thankfully, I’ve managed to drink a little bit and I ate an ice pole, so it’s a start. And I’m starting to feel less sick, thank goodness!

@User0224 2 weeks ago I had a random lady in Clintons turn to me and say “oh, hello bump” 😆 At least she knew I was pregnant and not just fat!

Just a bit of a rant.
Due to previous losses and an extremely prem baby I was told by midwives that I’d be “kept a very close eye on” and “well looked after”.
However, I don’t feel like that at all. I’ve had to chase both consultant apts I’ve had / got booked as they didn’t come up on my app.
when I got the high risk result for DS they didn’t tell me my actual results but I can see from other ppl on here they can tell you them. I was just asked if I wanted to book an amnio or wait for NIPT results.
After 5 miscarriages an amnio fills me with dread, I could be risking a healthy baby.
After my own research I don’t feel I was told the accuracy of the quad test or the false positives rate which is now potentially causing me endless stress and worry.
Rant over, sorry!

im in tomorrow morning for the cervical cerclage surgery, say a wee prayer all goes well 🙈 feeling very nervous about it all

I've bought a Halloween maternity tshirt from Asda which says "growing my pumpkin" on it where the bump is just so people know I'm pregnant not just getting fatter for the sake of it 🤣

@Nemo145 I'm really sorry that's rubbish, and I'm not surprised you don't feel well looked after. The very least they could have done is discussed your results properly and broken down the blood results for you. Fingers are crossed for a good result for you on Tuesday for the nipt.

@DmcinT good luck for your procedure tomorrow. Understand the nerves but hope all goes well and it's not uncomfortable for you

@Nemo145 im so sorry you’re feeling like this about the care you’re getting ❤️ I’d definitely flag it next time you see somebody, or even just send a message to your midwife. The system can be so lacking at times! I didn’t get called for my booking appointment until a week after I’d had an MC last time around! It upset me so much!!

@CheeseAndCrackersx yup! I’m with you 100%! A couple of bites of any meal and I feel fine! 😳 I tend to push on past it a little bit - I’ve been so sick I’m just trying to get everything in that I can 🫣

@Nemo145 sorry to hear this 😢❤️ I feel exactly the same after a late loss last year I was promised more support in my next pregnancy including more scans but I feel like I’ve had F all! I’ve only seen my midwife twice :/ I begged them for some emotional support and they’ve said I have PTSD from my last loss now. Hopefully should hear back from them soon. I feel like I’m just waiting around for my next scan to discover something terrible has happened 😩
