Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

Janeykat · 20/08/2023 08:32

@BEL88 hi due date twin😊

I have a similar story to you in that I am also ttc no 2, have a 3.5 year old boy. Had 2 losses this year, so hoping this one sticks🤞🤞

How are you feeling so far?

Disneymad1990 · 20/08/2023 08:36

@Cinderz123 thank you- 😊
I think after previous miscarrige im just super aware of every cramp- does feel like my period on way! Nice to hear its normal-
Really hoping all goes ok this time 🤞 Xx

WolfMother326 · 20/08/2023 08:40

@Disneymad1990 congratulations 🎊
I have IBD (not sure about the difference with IBS exactly, I have Crohn's disease). Last time I was pregnant I didn't have any flare ups as a result, but my consultant put me on some medication during the pregnancy to prevent other complications halfway through. Maybe you can speak to your GP or whoever monitors your care? But good to know too that for some women, pregnancy helps them have fewer flare ups!

Cinderz123 · 20/08/2023 08:41

@Disneymad1990 yep anxiety after miscarriage is very normal previously lost 3 prior to this one with a healthy 8yr old DS so I know my body can do it and there's a few of us on this thread who know the feeling well and I think 1st trimester pregnancy in general for everyone who has been ttc can be a worrying time but guess what threads like this are for to support and share experiences so u know ur not alone 🥰 xx

WanderingthroughWildflowers · 20/08/2023 08:47

@Disneymad1990 Congratulations 🙂I also have a high BMI and am nervous about the potential judgement I'm going to face! Fingers crossed we encounter lovely medical staff throughout who don't make us feel rubbish for it! x

Disneymad1990 · 20/08/2023 08:56

@Cinderz123 yeh its nice to have this thread with others going through the same thing- 😊🥰! And nice to get some answers.
Sorry to hear about ur previous losses. Xx

Disneymad1990 · 20/08/2023 08:58

@WolfMother326
I will be sure to mention my ibs to my consultant- hopefully i dont get many flare ups. 🤞. I havnt even phoned the gp/ midwife team yet 🙈 sounds silly but scared to incase i miscarry again and waste their time. Xx

SurreyPsych · 20/08/2023 08:59

@sugarplum33 that’s so helpful, thank you. Shared parental leave can be taken in 3 chunks I think, so I wonder whether my husband could “return to work” just before summer and then take a second stint of leave up until Christmas and then “return” the first day of the Christmas holidays. I’ll look into that, really glad you mentioned it.

Really good idea with the dates. I’ll do that now :)

Disneymad1990 · 20/08/2023 09:01

@WanderingthroughWildflowers
Congratulations to you also! 🥳
Being judged for being very overweight is one of my biggest fears! 🙈 i know lots of people have very succesful pregnancies with a high BMI but i am worried about judgement!
Lets hope we get some kind midwifes and doctors! 🤞😊

Do you mind me asking how many weeks you are?

Disneymad1990 · 20/08/2023 08:02

I found out i was pregnant friday - 4 weeks- so very early - had a miscarriage at 5 weeks in january so very nervous at the moment- also have a high bmi- lost 4 store before i got pregnant but still high bmi- so lots worrying me about the judgement i will recieve for that.

Getting cramps, sore boobs - otherwise feeling well.

Baby due 24th april.

Are cramps at this stage normal?

Cant help but worry 🙈.
I also have ibs- not sure if this will flare up
Any advice really appriciated.

Congratulations! I have really bad IBS that gets worse in pregnancy as mine is very triggered by hormones. I was advised to try aloe Vera tablets in Holland and Barrett but have since been told I can't take them 🫠it's so hard because we can't take anything useful. I usually have a hot water bottle attached to me. Literally it goes around the world with me 😂

faban · 20/08/2023 09:15

I have my midwife app on the 6th sept... it's at 2.30 and that's the end of nap time and I shouldn't really bring my daughter to it anyway as it's a long one, so I have to cancel. So much easier the first time round 🙈

Janeykat · 20/08/2023 09:27

Oh im really sorry @wiedehopf , i'm not sure how that happened!

WanderingthroughWildflowers · 20/08/2023 09:36

@Disneymad1990 I know how you feel, I dread going to the doctors! I think I'm just a smidge over 4 weeks- I was due my period friday and did a digital CB test which said 2-3 weeks. My last period started 21st July and when I put that date into the NHS calculator it gave me a due date of 26th April, so that's what I'm going with for now!

Congrats to everyone who has joined recently- it's so lovely to see all your dates on the calendar ❤I hope everyone is feeling well this morning.

CB23CB · 20/08/2023 09:47

@Cinderz123 thank you. It's both and exciting and nerve wracking time.
Thank goodness we all have each other!

Lbw1292 · 20/08/2023 10:15

I’ve enjoyed catching up with the posts this morning! Fingers crossed for us all we will have healthy pregnancies 😍🫶🏻

I feel so impatient right now! I just want to sort my first scan out, I think I will feel a lot more relaxed after that x

Hello again ladies, I’ve created a WhatsApp group for mid to late April babies (although feel free to join if your early April of course!) it might take a little bit to get going as I appreciate some prefer FB and some prefer Mumsnet but I’d love to make some friends to go through this pregnancy with and beyond hopefully ❤️
