Just got my bfp yesterday and EDD is early April 2024. Anyone else similar and feel like keeping each other company?

I know bless her! It’s so hard keeping it a secret isn’t it because normally you share good news straight away 🥹 it worked out we were trying for around 8 cycles, so within the norm but it was still a very hard process!

im going to call my doctors on Monday and see when I get referred for the scan. We live round the corner from a private baby scanning studio, so if I’m really impatient will book in there. Just want to hear our baby’s heartbeat so bad 🥹🩷🩵 what about you? xx

Lbw1292 · 19/08/2023 17:38

Congratulations! ✨❤️ how far along are you? Sending you all the positivity xx

WanderingthroughWildflowers · 19/08/2023 17:49

@Lbw1292 I know, part of me wants to shout it from the rooftops and part of me wants to keep it our secret until hopefully our healthy happy bundle of joy is here! I'm sorry you found it a hard process, hopefully you'll love pregnancy ❤I haven't decided re. the scan yet either, will see how I feel in a few weeks.

Thank you and congrats to you to @LouH93 😃

@CB23CB I'm so sorry to hear of your previous losses and have everything crossed for you that this is your time 💖

Lbw1292 · 19/08/2023 18:01

Thank you lovely. Me too - I’m sure I will, this month I focused on positivity and it clearly worked, so I am taking that with me through the pregnancy 😍🫶🏻 xx

SurreyPsych · 19/08/2023 18:56

Congratulations and welcome @CB23CB

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 19/08/2023 19:05

Only 3+6 with a very faint positive, so not getting my hopes up yet, but I did get a bfp today 😊

I'd be due 28th April, so I'm late to the party but just about in the April club!

How was everyone feeling around the 4 week mark? Just got some cramping, hip aches, bit of nausea and dizziness and boob tenderness.

Anyone due April 2024?

I'm 4+5 so still very early days.

Got slight nausea, tender boobs and a little bit of tiredness, everyone is different but I find my symptoms start getting stronger between week 5 and 7

sugarplum33 · 19/08/2023 20:29

@SurreyPsych Unfortunately yeah, teachers' holidays aren't like most holidays and- in state schools at least- if your maternity leave runs over any holiday then that holiday is lost in effect. All you can do is try to time it so that you 'return' to work at the start of a holiday so that you get paid in full over that holiday. It's why many teachers aim for a September baby so they have nearly a year off and return to work on the first day of the summer holidays and get paid for the 6 weeks break. That was my aim but Mother Nature didn't get the September baby memo haha. I'll either return on the first day of the Christmas holidays or Easter holidays to at least tag a little holiday onto my maternity leave.

@WanderingthroughWildflowers @Lbw1292 @Growinganaries @CB23CB @XenaTheWarriorPrincess Congratulations! What a lovely influx of BFPs

@WolfMother326 Congrats! I'm 5 weeks today too :)

@Christmascrazyalways Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, I know you're not the only one on here feeling rough unfortunately.

@Sangels267 How lovely you got to see the heartbeat!

As we are nearing the post limit to this thread, would anyone like us to start compiling a list of everyone and their details/ due dates ready for the next thread?

Something like:
Sugarplum33 Due #2 20th April

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 19/08/2023 20:33

Congrats to you too! @theodora2146

I've always been seemingly quite sensitive to progesterone. Hormonal birth control was always a nightmare and I get all the classic early pregnancy signs as pms, so just expecting those on overdrive for the next couple of weeks.

I have been pregnant a couple of times before, years ago, but none successful. Only once past 5 weeks though (so once i pass that ill be happier), mc at 11 weeks over a decade ago and I remember the exhaustion kicking in at about 6 or 7 weeks. I'd just slip into 10 hour mini comas, wake up for a few hours then be gone again, hoping it doesn't happen this time 😅

Butterfliesandroses · 19/08/2023 20:39

@LouH93 well technically they doubled my dose, but I was only recently diagnosed so they had started me on a very small dose anyway. I think an appointment the day you get back from holiday sounds like a good plan. Try not to let it worry you too much, especially if your levels were good prior to pregnancy. Mine weren't under control pre-pregnancy so it's probably slightly different x

SouthernBelle86 · 19/08/2023 21:57

Hello all, I got my bfp (easy@home) last Saturday very faint and a clear blue digi 1-2 on Sunday. Yesterday I got my 2-3 on digi and much darker positives (as strong as control) on Superdrug cheapies. Youngest is almost 11 and had 2 losses in the ten years since (extensive infertility) new partner and boom pregnant but I’m super anxious about having another MMC.

according to LMP I’m 4w+4 (got positive very early!) very little in the way of symptoms other than insomnia and I’m insanely hot and sweaty. Only thing that made me test was my FITBIT resting heart rate was unusually high pre AF. I think my due date is around 24/25 April. Having known about my pregnancy for a week I feel robbed saying I’m only 4+4 😂

I have doctors on Wednesday as I’m currently being treated for severe anaemia (this is ongoing) and I’d like my levels reviewed asap as not due to be reviewed till end of September. I also had a gastric sleeve 2 years ago (hence the anaemia) and I’m very worried about food intake and sustaining my pregnancy. I sadly don’t know anybody else whose been pregnant after bariatric surgery and how it might affect me and the baby. I’ve added my test progression from the last week!

congrats to all new expecting Mummas ❤️

Just to add I don’t do Facebook but I’d love to set up or be part of a WhatsApp group for ladies due around the same time as me, feel free to inbox me 🥰

CinderRosie · 19/08/2023 22:17

Congratulations to all the newbies!! I was thinking the same as @sugarplum33 thst we will need to start a new thread soon and it’d be good to have all our usernames at the top with our due date next to it so it’s easier to keep track. I have 0 confidence on setting up the new thread myself though especially with no edit button!

faban · 19/08/2023 22:41

I've been thinking about the next thread too because the creator of this thread hasn't returned. I hope it's because she's busy and not because something has happened. I also have no clue how to set one up 😂 doing due dates is a great idea- it's a lot of work for someone tho 😬

I'm at my in laws and it is hard being sober, they're quite hard work 😂

Rainbow890 · 20/08/2023 02:22

Im finding this thread a lot of comfort and do all my reading at night thanks to my new found insomnia....

So Rainbow890 due 9th of april. Currently 6+5

sugarplum33 · 20/08/2023 04:24

Yes it's possibly quite a lot of work actually to compile a list. How about I post this list of dates and we each copy the most recent list and then add ourselves so the list keeps being updated. Then it will just mean copying and pasting the whole thing into a new thread, which I don't mind starting. What else is there to do when you're wide awake at 3am every night anyway?!

So add yourselves, you can add whether this is child #1, #2 or more for you and any other information you'd like others to be aware of, such as whether this is a rainbow baby.
