@Mummyme87 hope you feel better soon. You just can't win can you. Just got to do you!

@FirstT1meMum agreed it is most likely hormone fueled rage! Best of luck with scan. Looking forward to an update!

lilluce95 · 25/07/2023 11:40

@MrsJ6921 @LittleAlien24 oooh yeah, I've definitely not ruled out second hand prams/travel systems so will look into that as well as the appointments! How exciting 🤩

All the best for your cervix measurement, it's a hard time at the moment when you don't necessarily 'feel' pregnant I think. Everything will be ok though I'm sure 🩷

lilluce95 · 25/07/2023 11:45

@EL27 I had a similar situation with my sister, she has PCOS and has been struggling to conceive. I told her privately and she was super grateful that I told her and she was really happy for me. A sisterly bond is like no other! 🩷 hope it goes well for you xx

Mummyme87 · 25/07/2023 12:46

Who was recommending love leggings? Size wise, should I size up? What’s the fit like?

sashastuck · 25/07/2023 12:47

@FirstT1meMum I’ve got my gender scan today too! Absolutely buzzing with excitement, now all my family know we’ve been doing guesses, everyone has guessed boy so it will be a massive shock if it’s a girly 🤣 can’t wait to hear about yours!

@Luhou I’d also agree that it’s probably jealously/not knowing the reality (if they don’t have kids themselves). You do whatever you bloody like!!

@Ttcdcno1 that’s an obvious cute bump😍

MrsHsGirl · 25/07/2023 12:55

@Mummyme87 I am living in love leggings at the moment - my normal size fit me perfectly. I've got a fair size bump already and I'm not convinced they will fit me all the way through but they are absolutely ideal for now

lucya66 · 25/07/2023 12:57

Good luck with your scans :)

Mummyme87 · 25/07/2023 13:16

Lots of scans today!!!

thanks @MrsHsGirl

Me! Normal size. Mine saw me through to the end with last baby but I’m maybe on the smaller side of my size.

LydiaWalker93 · 25/07/2023 13:22

Weird question - anyone finding they're sneezing a lot more now they're pregnant?

LittleAlien24 · 25/07/2023 13:27

@lilluce95 thanks

Good luck to everyone with their scans today.

Just a quick pop in. Had my scan today. For my OB shock and surprise my cervix is actually grown, it's longer than at the beginning of pregnancy lol so she wants to see me again in 2 weeks 😁
Baby was all ok, nice strong heartbeat. Unfortunately didn't find out the gender. First it's back was turned to us, then side, then legs crossed 😂 ob was laughing that such a weird positions. She tried to shake it a bit but nope lol just exactly like my second pregnancy, even on the same side.

Bims2019 · 25/07/2023 13:43

Good luck to everyone with scans today, very exciting!

@Mummyme87 I'd say the same as @MrsHsGirl, got my normal size and the standard maternity leggings are a perfect fit for now and are very stretchy, but not entirely sure they will last the whole pregnancy. The light weight summer ones however have loads of room to grow, and again got my normal size. I have found they have bobbled between the legs quite quickly, but it's not noticeable to anyone except me 😂

lilluce95 · 25/07/2023 14:31

@Mummyme87 I have some from there in my normal size and they fit like a dream! (For now). So comfortable

lilluce95 · 25/07/2023 14:32

@LydiaWalker93 yes!! I thought this might have just been me or maybe I'm a bit more reactive to pollen now I'm pregnant?!

sashastuck · 25/07/2023 14:32

@LydiaWalker93 yep! Often 4/5 in a row!

Kalodin · 25/07/2023 14:50

Hope those with scans today have a great time and do share scan news and pictures afterwards. Best of luck!

@LydiaWalker93 All the bloody time! Ha

Well just told DM in the worst possible bloody way. She was accusing me of being drunk at her party and, quite frankly, making up some complete BS about my behaviour. (She has form for this, thankfully DH sees right through her and has pointed out its an odd insecurity thing she has going on where she has to make everyone else feel like crap and cause drama). But I bloody bit, and said I wasn't drunk. She kept pushing until I eventually said I wasn't drunk because I'm pregnant.

So annoyed I bit. So annoyed I revealed in this way. Everyone will bloody know by now as she will have told everyone ffs.

And ofc she doesn't say anything nice. Just starts banging on about how I should abort and I'm an idiot because we won't be able to financially afford this child.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 25/07/2023 14:53

@Luhou I worry about some colleagues acting like this. I haven’t told anyone yet. I will soon. I think mid-September is the latest I can tell but I imagine I’ll show before then. There are promotions at work so if I get one of those I’m sure I’ll really piss people off. Like others say it’s just ignorance and jealousy. The first few months are definitely nothing to be jealous about 😂

I’m feeling so tired today. My son has never been a great sleeper but recently has been better although last night he got up at 2am and started having a tantrum. My husband stayed up with him for an hour then to try to get him to sleep we went for a drive. Didn’t get to bed to 4 and then up at 6 to get ready for work. I must be mad to have another one 🫣

buckingmad · 25/07/2023 15:03

@Kalodin she sounds delightful. Can you just go no/very low contact with her?

FirstT1meMum · 25/07/2023 15:25

@sashastuck amazing!! Can't wait to hear all about it 🥰🥰

@Kalodin omg that sounds horrendous. I really do hope you are okay.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 25/07/2023 15:31

@Kalodin That sounds tough to deal with. Sorry you have an unsupportive parent. At least your DH is supportive.

Flossiepot · 25/07/2023 15:34

Good luck with the scans ladies, 16 weeks today and have my gender scan on Sunday 🥰
Gosh @Kalodin that doesn't sound nice at all, I'm not in the same boat but I do have a difficult mother you have to just learn to ignore the nasty comments and look after yourself and baby. Hope you're ok xx

Mummyme87 · 25/07/2023 15:35

@LydiaWalker93 yes to the sneezing!!! Thought it was hayfever but it’s going on for ages, literally since the start of the pregnancy.

@Kalodin shes sounds like a right delight. Can you just not speak to her? How close is your OH to her?

just started to feel human in the last hour, should get showered and take the kids out to the park as I’ve been on the sofa all day

Luhou · 25/07/2023 15:59

@Kalodin she sounds vile! Hope you're not feeling to upset about it all.

@LydiaWalker93 I agree. I would wait as long as possible. I was struggling with my uniform so I had to say something. But can't help but feel like I'm already being made redundant or information being passed over me, as I'm not going to be here.

suz2285 · 25/07/2023 16:00

@LydiaWalker93 for weeks now, wake myself up sneezing at like 3/4am then can't get back to sleep! It's not been quite as bad this last week but for weeks it was awful, pregnancy rhinitis I think!

I've had to take antihistamines a few days cos I literally couldn't stop sneezing and snuffling all day and it was miserable!!

I could literally count on one hand the number of times I sneeze in a year when not pregnant 😂

Kalodin · 25/07/2023 16:00

Thanks everyone, I actually really do enjoy my mums company, when she isn't like this. She can be wonderful and the kids adore her. I don't want to go low contact. But I am putting boundaries in place that I will not talk about anything negative regarding my pregnancy and from now on any arguments I will just not enter into. Not great to be stressed out is it.

Hope you get that shower @Mummyme87 ! We have had a sofa day too (although did make Cheesey pancakes and fairy cakes too, inspired by the Faraway Tree book) as it's been absolutely passing it down all day!

Bet you can't wait @Flossiepot !

Brilliant about the cervix growing @LittleAlien24 ! Hopefully it is all smooth for you now 🤞
