I’m not taking any vitamins anymore. Will start vitamin D again, don’t need folic acid as that’s for the first 12weeks.

I like love leggings also, soft and comfortable. Jeans I have a pair from Jojo maman Bebe which are reasonable and I always go for over bump.

Will you just take a generic vitamin D rather than a pregnancy specific one? This was my plan.

Mummyme87 · 12/08/2023 17:49

@Luhou yeah just normal 10mcg that’s recommended. Think mine is a boots one. Will probably need some iron as always seem to get quite anaemic

MrsJ6921 · 12/08/2023 18:14

@Luhou i take the seven seas pregnancy vitamins and I’ve had no problems. I think they actually really helped in my first trimester as they have ginger in them and helped with nausea

Hummusanddipdip · 12/08/2023 18:30

I found pregnacare made me feel ill if I took it in the evenings too @Luhou . So started taking it with breakfast and that helped. May be worth trying if you've still got loads of tabs?

RG9895 · 12/08/2023 18:31

This is interesting about vitamins as im on pregnacare max and was wondering if its causing my nausea and tempted to try something else...maybe thats just wishful thinking though 😂

LittleAlien24 · 12/08/2023 18:54

My ob told me to take vitamins throughout all the pregnancy. I take ExelVit Esencial (probably don't have this brand in uk). It has B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, B9, B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, iron, iodine, selenium, zinc, Magnesium and copper in it.

I've been good so far with crying, until today. Builder, well actually his wife (she translates) was trying to get some money off me earlier but i said not until job is done like we agreed (i already paid for materials). Had quite a few messages between me and her. Called my OH and think i was more annoyed with the fact that i haven't cried so far and now this thing got me crying 😂

Can someone please help me with baby socks/shoe sizes? Last i had to do it was too long ago 😁 Like there's socks I'd like to get but I've no idea what size is for what month (like lets say what size is for 3-6 months, whats for 6-9 months). Sizes for socks are 10/12, 13/15, 16/18 and 19/21

Luhou · 12/08/2023 19:13

Thanks for vitamin advice ladies. I think I'm going to try just vit D. Wondering if it was one of the others in the pregnacare causing me troubles.

@LittleAlien24 never seen socks sold in shoe sizes before! 10/12 would imagine for newborn/0-3. First walker shoes (so for those age from roughly a year) start at a size 18.

LittleAlien24 · 12/08/2023 19:38

@Luhou these are the sizes for socks in h&m. I feel so stupid not being able to buy socks for a baby after raising 2 kids 😂

Luhou · 12/08/2023 19:40

@LittleAlien24 I feel like I have forgot everything and my DD isn't even 3. 🙈

I worked in a kids shoe shop as a teenager!

Matildahoney · 12/08/2023 19:41

@Luhou do you take them with food?
I take pregnacare, Boots vitamin d & still on folic acid as I had severe anaemia when I was younger, so the epu team after my previous miscarriage advised me to take them throughout my pregnancy.

Dannic2018 · 12/08/2023 19:51

@Luhou I’m taking seven seas and had no issues, I take them all the way through as I did with my ds just to keep everything level plus I’m still sort of breastfeeding. Definitely don’t take anything that’s making you poorly bless ya

lilluce95 · 12/08/2023 20:10

Went for a private scan today at 16+1 and found out we're having a little girl 🥰🩷 we had picked out a lovely little boy name but nothing for girls 😂

Also found out I have an anterior placenta which is probably why I'm yet to feel anything at all!x

Due January Part 5 🎉
Luhou · 12/08/2023 20:11

Congratulations @lilluce95

Fancy sharing your boys name? We're at a loss!

LittleAlien24 · 12/08/2023 20:24

@Luhou i don't feel so bad now because my youngest is 16 lol
Congratulations @lilluce95 we are the other way around. Found out we having a boy and had a girls name chosen 😁 now struggling to find boy's name, nothing sounds like the one

Yes with my evening meal, last thing I'd eat and then would be awake on the toilet a few hours later. Completely gone since I stopped.

Thanks, I'll maybe give these a go. I feel fine now I've stopped but worried I'm missing something not taking any vitamins.

buckingmad · 12/08/2023 21:38

Toddler just jumped and sat on my bump 😭 took my breath away a little. Obviously now sitting here panicking.

lilluce95 · 12/08/2023 22:15

@Luhou thank you!! We love older names so we had picked Arthur George 😊

@LittleAlien24 thank you 💞 haha it's Sod's Law isn't it! What was your girls name if you don't mind me asking?

lilluce95 · 12/08/2023 22:17

@buckingmad hope you're ok! My dog jumped off of my bump not too long ago and I brought it up with my midwife - she said baby will be super protected at this stage so not to worry too much. Deffo give them a call if you're worried for a peace of mind though xx

Mummyme87 · 12/08/2023 22:24

Congratulations @lilluce95 on your baby girl. Did your nuchal scan look girly at all?

Matildahoney · 12/08/2023 22:38

@Luhou oh that's really odd! I've taken them all the way through & had no issues! Hopefully others don't do the same to you!
Congrats @lilluce95 🩷 Arthur is on our shortlist!

buckingmad · 13/08/2023 06:43

@lilluce95 thank you, my midwife said the same before when I asked because my toddler loves to climb all over me plus we still cosleep so I often get a kick during the night.

I’ve felt a few kicks during the night but might give them a call. I think I was panicking more because I’m 240 miles from home at my mums so extra worried about where I’d go if I did need to go in.

Mummyme87 · 13/08/2023 07:11

Ah yes they are super protected in there. Alot of layers and fluid before baby 🥰

PartRadish · 13/08/2023 07:51

17 weeks here and I've gone from zero movement/flutters to being able to clearly see and feel kicks on the outside. DH has felt here a few times now and I've managed to get it on video too. It's blown my tiny mind because I didn't see/feel outside movements with any of my boys until much later!
