@lilluce95 I know it’s crazy. Seems like last week we were tentatively joining with positive tests. Im desperate to have my anomaly scan 🤗🤗

lilluce95 · 11/08/2023 07:52

@Mummyme87 me too! When is yours? 😊 I'm only 16+1 at the moment as I'm due on 25th Jan so mine isn't until September, the waiting is horrible haha x

Mummyme87 · 11/08/2023 08:05

@lilluce95 I’m 17+6, mine is 8th September (4weeks today). Literally counting down the days!!

lilluce95 · 11/08/2023 08:15

@Mummyme87 mine is 7th sep! How exciting! I think we are going to cave and get a private gender scan this weekend 🙈 x

Mummyme87 · 11/08/2023 08:17

@lilluce95 my DH won’t entertain a private scan to find out the sex 😬 scan is the week the kids go back to school anyway so it will be here before I know it!!!

FirstT1meMum · 11/08/2023 08:45

Also waking up feeling more ropey than usual!

Couple of questions (Sorry!)

For those that have felt movements, are they obviously baby? Over the last week or so I've felt things that could possibly be baby but could also be explained as other things. I so desperately want to feel baby but I'm not sure if it would be obvious!

Also, TMI warning, is anyone else having a lot more discharge? I seem to be getting more than usual but it's very thin and watery so although I'm fairly certain it's not enough to worry about fluid leaking it's just different 😖 I love the summer hols but they don't half give me tome to think and worry 🤣

Hummusanddipdip · 11/08/2023 08:56

I've been waking up feeling sick too, generally I'm fine once I've eaten, so maybe it's hunger related sickness?

I wouldn't day what I've felt is obviously baby, it's been pops and like bubbles, so could be explained away as gas, except it's to the front left (where my womb is) rather than more central.

I'm definitely more damp down there, I've put it down to sweat over the past few days. My last pregnancy was over autumn and winter, so never experienced the summer sweatyness while pregnant 🤣🤣🤣

My scans on the 23rd, feel ages away but also not ages. I think I'm more caught up in the getting ds ready for school as he starts reception in September. Having severe mum guilt that I can't be there to do the school run until baby is here 😔 thankfully due to his shift pattern dh can do it every other week and he'll be in breakfast/after school club on the other weeks. But it just feels mean that I can't be there for him?

lilluce95 · 11/08/2023 09:14

@Mummyme87 oh yes time will definitely fly by then! 😂

@FirstT1meMum I've not felt any movements yet (or so I've noticed) so I can't comment on that one! I have had a LOT more discharge than usual though but it looks relatively normal so I've not been worried about it - I think it's only a concern if it changes texture/colour x

@Hummusanddipdip easier said than done but don't feel guilty, at least your partner is able to be there 😊 and you will be there for him in the new year and there after 🫶🏼 x

Inmydreams88 · 11/08/2023 10:12

@FirstT1meMum The movements weren’t obvious to me at first. I kept feeling like a butterfly flutter (kind of like one or two pumps of a heart beat if that makes sense) very low down in my stomach but I was never really sure. It was only when I started to feel it regularly that I thought it must be baby.

sashastuck · 11/08/2023 10:15

@FirstT1meMum I think I’ve felt similar to what @Inmydreams88 has described. When I feel it once I tell myself it’s gas but if it happens a couple of times I allow myself to believe it might be baby 😂 ONLY happens when I’m lying deadly still in bed though.

My anomaly scan is on the 24th! Cannot wait!

Mummyme87 · 11/08/2023 10:48

@FirstT1meMum ive felt the occasional thing that I think is baby. It’s not regular at all, very low down, like a beat inside.

i put in my rota all the way up until mat leave at work yesterday!!! That is mental.

FirstT1meMum · 11/08/2023 11:52

Thanks everyone! Definitely only really notice it when I'm really focusing on trying to feel something so might start letting myself believe...maybe 🤣

TunnocksTCake · 11/08/2023 12:42

I'm getting achey hips when I wake up and had horrible sinus pain, which won't go away!
Also getting dampness down there I remember it from last time, so assume it's normal ☺️

Am I interpreting the news correctly that we and our household contacts will get covid vaccines this winter? Do they do 2/ 3 year olds?

lucya66 · 11/08/2023 13:10

I think I’m having early movements. They don’t feel like gas anymore, whereas they did for the last couple of weeks. Now they feel like a turn or undeniably like something inside of me has moved. I only feel it when I’m lying or sitting down (not walking about).

its lovely! I’m 20 weeks tomorrow and scan on Wednesday.

I am still sick some mornings. My right hip is troubling me; with tight muscles and pain in the back.
however, i feel so much better mentally and physically than I did in first trimester. ❤️

Salamander91 · 11/08/2023 14:22

I've been feeling the odd movement since around 15 weeks. I'm 19+2 and he is so active today I've even felt a couple of kicks on the outside 😍

Mummyme87 · 11/08/2023 14:27

@TunnocksTCake no, I think pregnant women will be advised to have Covid and flu vaccine but not the household members. The household members are for those immunocompromised, as much as pregnant women are more at risk they are classed as clinically at risk and not ‘immunocompromised’. This has been the case the whole time with vaccines, bar that very early initial bit.

Inmydreams88 · 11/08/2023 14:45

My hips ache on either side when I sleep on them at night. I constantly have to turn from side to side. It started really early at about 9 weeks but it completely went away till the past few nights.

I am feeling dreadful today, exhausted and pounding headache. Just ate a whole pack of tortilla chips with salsa. Literally can’t stop myself eating at the moment.

Mummyme87 · 11/08/2023 14:54

I’m still sitting on the sofa in pjs. Need to shower and get up to London to meet DH as it’s our wedding anniversary so going out for dinner. Craving steak 🤗

LittleAlien24 · 11/08/2023 15:20

I wake up being wrecked because i don't sleep properly. Think this another heatwave isn't helping, 31 degrees or so during the night 😰
I've my anomaly scan on 28th of August. Can't wait. Im 17+6 today and still no movements even tho it's my 3rd 🙄😏

Ttcdcno1 · 11/08/2023 15:23

24th August for my anomaly scan! I know what you mean about it feeling like 2 seconds ago we were all testing and posting for the first time! We go on holiday next week so I’m hoping that takes my mind off it and it’ll be here before I know it🙃

PartRadish · 11/08/2023 15:40

My anomaly scan is 24th August too. I have a cervical length scan on the 22nd too at the same place. I did cheekily ask at my scan Tuesday if they could possibly do them on the same day but they said my baby is super uncooperative so they didn't think there would be time 😆

PartRadish · 11/08/2023 15:45

Has anyone else who is Rh- had the cffDNA blood test done to check the baby's rhesus factor? I had the bloods for it taken at my 16 week appointment but forgot to ask how long it takes/when I would hear or if they'd just tell me at my next appointment.

Mushroo · 11/08/2023 15:52

@PartRadish yes I have. I had it at my 16 week appointment and heard nothing. Now assuming they’ll just tell me at 25 week appointment.

suz2285 · 11/08/2023 16:11

@Mummyme87 happy anniversary! I could 100% go out for a steak yum!!

My scan is on the 25th seems we're all roughly around the same time!!

Here we don't test baby's blood for the rhesus factor, if mum is -ve you just get the injection, so I'll be getting that, fun times

Had the whooping cough one on Wednesday and was expecting a sore arm but been totally fine! Bonus 😂🤞 I'm not loving the warmer days tho, it's fine if I'm at home but office wise none of my work clothes fit and I end up uncomfy and sweaty by the end of the day!! 🙈

TunnocksTCake · 11/08/2023 17:11

Thanks @Mummyme87 thought it was a bit ott to do our families too!
Have a wonderful anniversary steak!

My anomaly scans on the 25th, 2 weeks today 😬😬
