@LittleAlien24 you can still do cardigans and hats for baby boy 💙 my boys had gallons of home knitted cardigans.

just had midwife appt. All good. Next appt is up the bum scan in a couple of weeks, joy joy.

off to town now as need to get something for OH as 2nd wedding anniversary on Friday. May also venture to John Lewis to look at baby stuff

Question about the whooping cough vaccine...I didn't have an appointment made or anything at my 16 week and while I was away it dawned that a lot of people had theirs at the 16 week appointment. I've been going through paperwork and mine recommends at 20 weeks. I've rang the Dr's about a couple of things and asked who made the appointment, they were lovely and scheduled it for me but now by the time I have it I will be 21W+3...is this okay or is it too late? Am I worrying over nothing? 🫣🙈

Flossiepot · 09/08/2023 11:53

@FirstT1meMum - I had my 16 week app at 18weeks on Monday and she said to just ask at the 20week scan and they will sort it there. Not sure if they're all the same though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Flossiepot · 09/08/2023 11:53

Also my 20wk scan is at 21 weeks too and she said this would be fine.

Noodle89 · 09/08/2023 12:01

@LittleAlien24 I'm the same but the other way round. I already have 3 boys so thought of myself as a boy mom and now I still can't quite believe I'm having a girl.

Mummyme87 · 09/08/2023 12:06

@FirstT1meMum whooping cough should be done by 34weeks so it has full effect by 37weeks. My trust don’t recommend until after anomaly scan, to avoid the thoughts that the vaccine has caused an anomaly.. and we don’t do anomaly scans until 21-22weeks.

FirstT1meMum · 09/08/2023 12:36

@Flossiepot @Mummyme87 oh fab thank you! 😊🥰

Mushroo · 09/08/2023 15:02

Is anyone else just craving high calorie foods ALL THE TIME.

Pre- pregnancy I was pretty healthy, and although obviously enjoyed a takeaway, I could easily go weeks just eating normal healthy food.

Atm all I can think about is burgers, dominoes, Chinese takeaway, fish and chips, milkshakes. I’m not succumbing too often but honestly I think I could eat it everyday. Please tell me I’m not alone?!

Mummyme87 · 09/08/2023 15:19

@Mushroo feed what the baby wants 😂😂 I’m actually off then usual junk I crave, still like a cake.. I mean I have a Lola’s cupcake in the bag I just bought 😂😂 but generally just want the carbs

buckingmad · 09/08/2023 15:23

@Mushroo last week I had 3 big mac meals, 2 fish and chips and a chinese takeaway....

Kalodin · 09/08/2023 16:09

Yeah I've found I seeking extra for sure @Mushroo Although I've found having steak and buttery garlic mash is knocking it on the head. Having that 2 times a week!

Bims2019 · 09/08/2023 16:46

@Mushroo oh my god yes, I'm craving all the unhealthy things! We had pizza yesterday (and not a thin supermarket one, a chunky Domino's style affair), last week I had two burgers AND we had a BBQ at the weekend with sausages and more burgers 😂 trying to balance it all out with getting 5 a day but it's hard!

Mushroo · 09/08/2023 17:03

So glad it’s not just me!! Currently trying to convince DH we should get five guys for dinner, although @Kalodin steak and mash also sound a great!

FirstT1meMum · 09/08/2023 17:17

@Mushroo the only reason I agreed to go to the Trafford Centre last night was the promise of a 5 guys 🤣

Mummyme87 · 09/08/2023 17:17

Mash potato is just elite right now. I could live off it, with gravy.

Hummusanddipdip · 09/08/2023 17:33

Buttered bread with gravy is literally the yummiest thing in the world right now!!! Even ds us eating it 🤣

LittleAlien24 · 09/08/2023 17:53

Omg don't mention 5 guys. Had it few times in Birmingham when we were over there. Tried it over here in spain and it's nothing compared to uk 😩 we were so disappointed

Onedayatatime24 · 09/08/2023 18:18

I'm still craving all the carbs!! Chips and pizza especially but after having them I feel awful!! 🤦‍♀️

sashastuck · 09/08/2023 18:24

Carbs for me too! LOVE bread more than ever before, pizza, pasta, all the good stuff. I definitely get hungrier quicker. Not bothered about sweet stuff but I ate one of those massive bags of Cheetos yesterday 😩

Lraine86 · 09/08/2023 18:25

Yeah me too. Yesterday I was hungry after lunch and had another late lunch at 4-5pm. Forced myself to eat a delicious salad as I have GDM. Today, snacked mid morning, had a big lunch and then some posh ice cream at 4pm. Oddly I don’t mind vegetables now despite despising them in the first trimester. Still only have a smallest bump and bigger boobs. Face hasn’t changed. Could be worse I suppose 😂

Luhou · 09/08/2023 18:49

I long to fancy a proper take out. My head and heart would love a dominoes! Still sick over here baby living off toast and apricot yoghurt 🙈

Dannic2018 · 09/08/2023 19:00

The only genuine thing I’ve craved is a nice strawberry yoghurt! I have to have some sort of sweets on a evening while I watch the Rookie 🤣
But I’m really struggling to fancy things at the moment and it takes me so long to eat it’s ridiculous
Feeling like poo today, had trapped wind most of the night and now I’ve just got a tummy ache and feel sickly 😞

sashastuck · 09/08/2023 19:53

@Dannic2018 I feel you with the trapped wind stomach ache 😢

EL27 · 09/08/2023 20:25

@Booklover88 thank you!! They do look a lot comfier than what I have now!

Has anyone noticed that they get full way quicker than before pregnancy? I ordered a takeaway a few days ago as I was really craving it and it was so good but only ate half of what I used to be able to eat. So strange because I love food 😅

I know my midwife said smaller more frequent meals can be better in pregnancy rather than 2 larger meals so I think that might have to be the way forward!
