@Noodle89 congratulations on your girl

I can see some of my old stretchmarks coming more visible but no new ones yet but i know I'll get them.
Im 17+2 today and no movements or bubbles.
Have my ob appointment tomorrow for cervix and fibroid measuring. Also really hoping to find out the gender. Daughter baked small gender reveal cakes to bring with us just incase we'll find out tomorrow because she wants to go shopping straight after the doctor if we find out (because we live a bit over an hour from shopoing centres so we could do it while there lol).

lilluce95 · 07/08/2023 20:07

@Noodle89 congratulations! 🩷 how exciting!

@Onedayatatime24 I had a similar thing the other day where I had some aches after walking but they soon subsided! I just took it easy the next couple of days after that but I've been fine ever since 🥰

Kalodin · 08/08/2023 06:10

I think you'll likely be okay @Onedayatatime24 , sounds like what I often get. If in doubt, you can always ring your MW?

Good luck for today and I hope that you do get to find out @LittleAlien24

TunnocksTCake · 08/08/2023 09:43

Good Luck today @LittleAlien24 hope you find out the gender :)

Anyone getting leaking boobs yet?! Feels waaayyy to early (18 weeks) but have found little bits of dried milk in my nipples yesterday 😯
My boobs have also grown AGAIN so need to get more new bras, going to bankrupt me at this rate!!

Hummusanddipdip · 08/08/2023 10:24

Hope baby plays ball today @LittleAlien24

Nope to the leaky boobs @TunnocksTCake however (tmi) my nipples have started to get white spots on them... assuming that's the colostrum getting ready?

Anyone else getting stupidly out of breath or feeling fatigued as soon as they start a task? Ds is with his grandparents today, so I've taken the opportunity to sort the toys he has downstairs and swap them for some he has in his bedroom, and I've had to sit down after 10 minutes of walking up and down stairs carrying various toys about... I'm generally quite fit, so this has thrown me.

Flossiepot · 08/08/2023 10:36

Good luck @LittleAlien24 🥰
Yes @Hummusanddipdip I tried to finally start on some bits on the house this weekend and I felt like I'd been running for hours. So out of breath quickly and tired and the time 😴

FirstT1meMum · 08/08/2023 10:38

@TunnocksTCake @Hummusanddipdip I also have been getting white bits, was totally freaked out and panicked something was wrong! It seems to have settled but glad to know I'm not alone!

Please tell me its normal to still feel anxious and worried! I'm just over 18 weeks and still have days where I'm panicking of everything is okay!! I think I've had a couple of moments where I could feel her but nothing definitive and then I've not felt anything for a couple of days! Next scan not for a couple of weeks yet so got a long time to wait!

Bims2019 · 08/08/2023 11:01

@TunnocksTCake no leakage yet but I had a really vivid dream last night that I did 😂 just very itchy boobs and randomly extra sensitive nipples!!

I'm shattered today, had an awful night's sleep and I've got a job interview today. Really missing coffee at this moment!

@FirstT1meMum you're not alone, it's 2 weeks to my scan as well and I've still not had definitive movement so I'm worrying away. Also convinced myself that bump hasn't grown when I'm sure it has. Trying to remind myself that I felt the same way before the 12 week scan and all was fine!

Mushroo · 08/08/2023 11:07

I’ve entered into the worrying phase. Not seen anything since the 12 week scan and no real movement.

I have my 20 week scan on Friday so just praying everything is ok. I can’t wait until i get proper movements! It’s such a long stretch between 12 weeks and 20 weeks!

RG9895 · 08/08/2023 11:15

Im 18 weeks and also worry every day, my 20 week scan is in 3 weeks and feels like so long to wait. I feel little bubbles but still not sure its her. I cant wait for a big kick to know shes okay! Glad im not alone 😞

Luhou · 08/08/2023 11:27

I'm feeling really exhausted. I'm struggling to stay focused at work too. Just generally can't be arsed!

Second itchy nips.

lucya66 · 08/08/2023 11:33

Yes to tiredness. Not had any leakage but I had a bath (to try and feel any movement - but didn’t) and my Areola was quite firm and in a shape I’ve never seen before.

my boobs have grown and Amazon’s maternity bras have been good. Also got some for £5 on Vinted.

I’m 19w3d today and no definitive movements just rare bubbles. But I’m guessing they are her. Still being sick on and off some days.

20 week scan next week! Does anyone know if you are allowed 1 set of grandparents in the nhs scan?

LozzieLoo · 08/08/2023 12:05

Had my cervical length scan today so nice to see baby again (albeit very briefly!) to alleviate some of the anxiety.
We were hoping to find out the gender but that part was so brief we didn’t. 3 weeks until my 20 week scan seems so long!

Very tired too at the moment and a bit of a constant headache for the past few days which is annoying.

Luhou · 08/08/2023 12:21

Anybody experience pain at the top of their bump. I was just sitting at my desk when I got a sharp stabbing pain which came and went a couple of times but kind of at the top of my bump/between my ribs? It was really painful but didn't last more than 30 seconds.

TunnocksTCake · 08/08/2023 12:27

Yes I think it is more colostrum now I think about it - feels very early!

Im worrying a lot at the moment too, its that awful stage of no movement and waiting for the 20 week scan, really just want to feel them now. I feel like I was feeling DD1 by now but maybe not. keep having to persuade myself I do not need another scan, but 2.5 weeks feels so long to wait!

WitcheryDivine · 08/08/2023 12:47

I'm also 2 weeks before scan and feeling very anxious. I don't think my bump is growing and I haven't felt any movement.

I wonder whether in a healthy pregnancy there is connection between bump emerging earlier and feeling movement earlier? Like maybe if your tummy is more "stretched" you are more sensitive to it?

WitcheryDivine · 08/08/2023 12:50

Also does anyone have a good recommendation for a pelvic floor exercise app?

FirstT1meMum · 08/08/2023 13:16

Thanks everyone! Feeling much less alone now and nice to hear its a shared feeling!!!

JaffaCake123 · 08/08/2023 13:39

Feeling anxious here too as 17 weeks and not felt any movement. But had my 16 week appointment this morning and the midwife listened to the heartbeat with the doppler, it was so lovely, made me want to have a little cry. Hopefully that will tide me over until the 20 week scan at the end of the month.
Hugs to everyone else having a worry ❤

sashastuck · 08/08/2023 13:45

That’s lovely @JaffaCake123 ❤️ got my 16 week appt tomorrow (at 19 weeks) and I’m hoping I can have a listen in too, I’ve been welling up just thinking about it! Can’t believe he’s actually in there 😂

Yes to the tiredness and yes to the worrying, 100%. Although I’ve been buying and browsing etc there’s constantly something in the back of my mind saying ‘but what if…’
It’s exhausting.

Hummusanddipdip · 08/08/2023 13:57

I refused to buy anything with ds until after my 20 week scan.

DM and MiL went shopping together and bought bedding and clothes because I was too nervous (3 years of trying and several miscarriages led me to be on the reluctant side)

This time I've got loads of hand me downs from the family, some of it ds's stuff that's come back to me, other bits from cousins and friends who have had children outgrow. Although still nothing in the house yet... I don't want to be prepared and have everything here, to find out at the 20 week scan there is a problem. So yeah, although outwardly I'm calmer this time round, I've still got masses of nerves and anxiety about this one.

Salamander91 · 08/08/2023 14:43

@lucya66 I'd be surprised if they let grandparents in. I'm sure my letter says partner only.

I have my scan next Wednesday. I'm so nervous. I'm feeling some movements so I know he's alive in there but I'm so worried they're going to find something wrong.

Mummyme87 · 08/08/2023 15:11

@lucya66 my trust is one support person only. I can’t imagine any other NHS trust would say anything different. It’s a medical assessment like any other where you wouldn’t bring extra family members.

I can’t wait until my anomaly scan, still got 4weeks 😩 listened to baby’s HB at work today, still banging away in there 🤗

After feeling so unwell yesterday with a crushing headache for 24hrs I feel slightly better today. I slept like the dead which was good and much needed

Redpanda21 · 08/08/2023 15:20

I’ve not bought a single thing yet.

I only had a baby 18 months ago but got rid of the side sleeper bed and everything for a little newborn but I did keep a baby carrier and infant seat. I’ll probably start buying around 34/35 weeks as don’t feel the urge or need to buy anything yet! I might if I can persuade husband to find out the sex

TunnocksTCake · 08/08/2023 16:16

@Hummusanddipdip I was exactly the same with my first, pretty much refused to believe it was happening until she was actually in my arms and definitely didn't buy anything or talk about it in a real practical way til after 20 weeks. Don't need much this time so still haven't bought anything yet. I was definitely more anxious last time due to all the losses directly before DD but still feel worried this time. Luckily am much busier this time round (was furloughed with DD1 so lots of time to think!) so time is passing a little quicker.
