Yes to the headaches, I thought it was because I needed to up my fluids as blood pressure etc fine, after hearing you all say you are maybe it’s just hormonal as I’m 17 weeks tomorrow. Just a dull ache on my forehead all day today 😞

Kalodin · 27/07/2023 18:15

Headaches I'm not getting so much but it's the thirst that's killing me, just never ending thirst. It's like I need to constantly be drinking water. I know its because of all the fluid etc, but blimey I don't remember it being this constant previously.

Mummyme87 · 27/07/2023 18:31

Congratulations on your girl @PartRadish

Lraine86 · 27/07/2023 18:43

Headaches here too. Maybe once a day. Also got round ligament pain which is so annoying when I sit for too long, get out of bed suddenly. Guess that’s something to discuss at my 16 week appointment. Thank god for paracetamol, yoga and hot baths.

xLJ1990x · 27/07/2023 20:01

Also lots of headaches here too and very emotional.

I called the mat unit earlier this week after I'd had a headache for almost 2 days and couldn't take more paracetamol. It reassured me because they said that when the placenta takes over there is a hormone surge which can lead to headaches and being emotional

sashastuck · 27/07/2023 20:30

@Kalodin I’m with you on the thirst! I wake up parched and have a constant glass or bottle with me at all times! Orange juice too😍

Lilothblos · 27/07/2023 20:32

@Kalodin @sashastuck I’ve definitely noticed the thirst too! Before pregnancy I was so rarely thirsty and I often forget to stay hydrated, but the last three weeks or so I’m downing water like nobody’s business!

FirstT1meMum · 27/07/2023 20:36

@Kalodin @sashastuck @Lilothblos I'm another one that's always thirsty. I also would never choose to drink just plain tap water in the past but now I can't get enough!! Glad I'm not alone - was beginning to panic about diabetes 🫣

Onedayatatime24 · 27/07/2023 20:55

Thirst over here too! Been so thirsty since day one. Also back to getting up for a wee in the night!

youaremysunshine03 · 27/07/2023 21:23

I’m getting headaches too. No more sickness but lots of headaches!

I don’t feel like I have much of a bump either. In the mornings there’s barely anything but it gets bigger throughout the day so looks more like food and bloat! At 16 weeks (and second baby), I’d have thought I’d be showing more.

Finding out the gender tomorrow, eek!

Mummyme87 · 27/07/2023 21:52

Yes very thirsty here. At work I’m drinking 3litres a day, at home less so but then wake up with a mouth like the Sahara desert

Lightningrain · 27/07/2023 22:02

I had an awful headache yesterday and today I’ve been really thirsty. I’m glad it seems to be a common thing as I really struggle to drink enough water normally and I was starting to worry about gestational diabetes.

Hummusanddipdip · 27/07/2023 22:22

Yup, drinking lots of water here too, also lots of sprite, I seem to have developed a taste for lemon and lime 🤷‍♀️

Headaches, not so much more than normal, but I suffer from stress headaches anyway.

lucya66 · 28/07/2023 06:51

@Luhou @RG9895 im also still vomiting. Most mornings I wake up and as soon as I’m out of bed moving around, I need to go puke. Anti sickness meds don’t help anymore. Or in the evenings after tea.

im really starting to worry about the damage this sickness is doing to my teeth/dental health.

praying I’m not one of those women you hear about that is sick all the way through. 17w6d today. All worth it for my lil baby girl though 🥹🥹

My first pregnancy I was sick until about 20 weeks ish and then I had a few weeks off up until say 30 weeks. Then it came back.

I'm feeling absolutely horrific this morning. Headache, sickness and diahrea and back ache.

Anybody else feel really reluctant to call into work sick, feel like I've got something to prove.

lucya66 · 28/07/2023 07:32

@Luhou aww you poor thing. If you’ve got all those symptoms and you’re suffering, I wouldn’t go into work. It’s so much harder to say you’re leaving part way through the day, I find.

you have nothing to prove to anyone. Some women are ok when they are pregnant and some are sick and in pain. Rest up 💐

Luhou · 28/07/2023 08:38

Thanks @lucya66 I'm here now and feel better for getting dressed and ready and out the door. Plan on doing bare minimum all day.

lilluce95 · 28/07/2023 10:06

Hopefully in a few weeks all of our headaches will subside! At least it doesn't seem to be anything unusual though 🤞🏼

ThomasinaLivesHere · 28/07/2023 11:31

Sorry to read how bad some have it. I hope it stops soon for you.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 28/07/2023 12:41

It’s already listed on NHS food to avoid but I see a few papers are warning against smoked salmon as there was a renewed warning from food safety chiefs about listeria dangers. I ate some at the start of my pregnancy forgetting about it, so just thought I’d post a reminder. It’s annoying as it’s so tasty

buckingmad · 28/07/2023 14:37

We’re having another little girl! We took DD with us and she had absolutely no idea what was going on or what it meant but still lovely to have her with us.

Am already super dizzy though which I’m assuming is my low blood pressure. Might drop the midwife a message if it doesn’t ease soon as I’m worried I’m going to faint before long.

PartRadish · 28/07/2023 14:57

Congratulations @buckingmad 💗

My blood pressure is low too. It's low normally but somehow manages to creep even lower in pregnancy. Salty crisps, loads of water and standing up reeeally slowly are the only things I've found that help. Midwife's advice was 'try not to faint' so I'm giving that go too 🥲

buckingmad · 28/07/2023 15:04

@PartRadish i can definitely eat salty food 😂 love salt. My midwife said “try not to faint” too 😂 useful.

sashastuck · 28/07/2023 15:08

@buckingmad congratulations! 💕💕
