sorry to those I missed!

As I get rid of one symptom I gain another - headaches. Anyone else suffering? I know it's not linked to high blood pressure cause I was only checked last Friday and as per usual for me it's low. Trying to keep hydrated and snack but nothing seems to be helping except closing my eyes. Had a bad night with toddler last night and now at work so that probably hasn't helped.

Got my gender scan tomorrow lunch time so trying to think of that to power me through my last working day of the week!

@lilluce95 I think if I was home alone all day I'd go mad so empathise with you there! We're off to Scotland for a few days, always wanted to go and drive around a few places so figured now was the time before baby arrives as it's a good 6 hour drive from where we are. Hoping the weather picks up though. 🤞

@sashastuck so easy to get overwhelmed even though I know logically we'll be fine! Oh gosh that's tough living so far away, although I'm sure they'll visit loads for baby cuddles. Hopefully you've got people nearby too. I can't wait to start feeling them move around, I think it'll really help make it seem a bit more real.

@buckingmad yes! I never had headaches pre-pregnancy. Had a few really early on then nothing. This week I've had one for 3 days straight, kind of a dull ache then I get a wave of pain in the right side of my head. Paracetamol takes off the edge but doesn't do much to help. Got my 16 week appointment on Monday so hoping blood pressure is all okay.

Mine sound similar. I vaguely remember having a few weeks of this in my first pregnancy so must be something to do with hormones. I'm 16+2. Rubbish! Hope yours ease up soon.

@NatiNatasha i live in Spain and we just had the heatwave. Usually i love it but not now when pregnant. Even the days when it's 30 it feels too much
@buckingmad yup getting headaches as well. Had one yesterday for almost a full day 😕 all the best for tomorrow

Even tho some of your families are further away your kids are still lucky to have them. Our baby has no grandparents 😔 well my girls are basically in the same point. Only one grandparent left but haven't seen or talked to her for maybe 5 or 6 years

This is going to sound mad, but I’m really worried I’m not strong enough to hold a baby.

I’ve been practicing with my cat (don’t judge 😂) and she weighs about 8 pounds and I can only hold her for about 5 mins max!!

Do I need to do some weight training or something?

@Mushroo you’ll quickly build the muscles don’t worry. And then you’ll get stronger as baby grows.

It is tiring though!

@Mushroo I have terrible upper body strength and always mean to improve. Babies are fine especially in the beginning as they don’t move so much and you can sit down with them or hold them against you. I have a two year old and I do wonder how much longer I’ll be able to lift him and stop him from running off.

@buckingmad I get headaches on and off. I’ve found drinking lots of water helps ease them.

@sashastuck Cute pics. I got my son’s pictures from Etsy - there are so many nice decorations on it and you can get some personalised with their name.

@Onedayatatime24 I have a little dog luckily so she gets me out most of the time!! Just during the day it can be so boring haha. I absolutely love Scotland, you'll have the best time!! 🫶🏼

@buckingmad I never had headaches pre pregnancy either and I've started getting them too and nothing helps but sleep! Hopefully they'll get better in time though 🙃

@buckingmad I've had headaches this week too, when I looked it up apparently headaches and dizziness is more common in early 2nd trimester - mines been aching the last 2 days!

@Mushroo omg me too I'm so weak! I keep saying I'm gonna start doing some strength but I don't do it regularly enough! Husband has just bought me a grip strength thing as my grip is terrible and we were laughing cos if I need to squeeze his hand in labour he won't even feel it 😂😂

Phew glad it’s not just me that’s a complete weakling!!

Might try and attempt some weights over the next few weeks (and hold my cat every day 😂)

I am getting headaches. My headaches pre-pregnancy are always linked to feeling exhuasted. So think i'm getting tired easier which is why I'm getting them more frequently.

Had my test results back from 12 weeks scan, all low risk so that's good news.

Thank you everyone for your messages! Feeling much better now we're here and relaxing with a nice cold Pepsi max (very different drink choice to what we normally have here 🤣🤣).

@LittleAlien24 my uncle has just left and said it has been scorching for the last 10 days! However this still feels very warm compared to our usual!! ☀️☀️ What part of Spain are you from? I love how this group is so diverse!

@Mushroo I've always felt like a right weakling! Before I was pregnant I started using an indoor weighted skipping rope and I feel that has definitely helped to give me more strength in my upper arms.

@FirstT1meMum im down south, about an hour or so drive from mojacar playa. It is very warm and bright lol

@suz2285 We're staying not far from Stirling so we're going to spend a day in Glasgow and a day in Edinburgh. Then drive up to Glencoe/Loch Lomond, maybe visit Loch Tay and we're not too far from the Wallace Monument so probably have a poke around there if we get time. It's a very last minute/chucked together plan so if you have any recommendations then send em my way!!

@Mushroo my arms are sooo weak. I've been going swimming but only like the slowest breaststroke you can imagine, might have to up my game!

Loch Lomond is absolutely amazing I love it! So much to do around there too!

@FirstT1meMum cool, vera is nice. Im about 40 minutes from vera pueblo. Think they have the night time artisan market on every night from 7pm

Is anyone planning decorating? I’ve been looking at themes for the baby’s room. I’m thinking under the sea theme or possible the opposite and having clouds and hot air balloons etc.

Headaches here also. Had one from 6am Tuesday until about 6pm last night. Was debilitating

I got headaches as well this week. I was getting worried and was thinking of messaging the midwife about it.
Also started getting upperback pain. I wonder if its because I need to size up on my bras...

@MrsSBG I have been getting a slight niggling pain in my shoulder this last week and thought I'd slept on it awkwardly or something but now you've said that maybe I need to look into some more supportive bras...

@Dannic2018 According to NIPT we're having a girl this time after 3 boys. Confirmation scan Saturday morning!

Reassuring to hear lots of others are the same bump wise. I'm sure in a few months when I'm huge and uncomfortable I'll be laughing at myself for worrying about this!
