Feeling like a right lemon 🤦🏼‍♀️ currently sat in the airport waiting to go on holiday - should be lovely right? Except I've just sat down after a long queue to drop our bag and then through security and suddenly burst into tears!! Poor DH didn't know what to do so he's off to try and find something to eat that I might actually force down!! Feel like I look like a crazy lady sat crying in the airport!! Think a build up of hormones, tiredness and worry about the flight has tipped me over. Sorry for the post at such an early time, I just needed my safe space ❤️

suz2285 · 27/07/2023 05:56

@FirstT1meMum aww holidays are really stressful nevermind with the extra hormones... you'll feel great once you're there! Hope you have a fab time - where are you off to?

FirstT1meMum · 27/07/2023 06:09

@suz2285 thank you, I'm sure once we're settled at the apartment all my stress will hopefully melt away! 🤞🤞 We're off to Spain ☀️

suz2285 · 27/07/2023 06:24

Awww yeah I'm sure it will @FirstT1meMum

We went to Italy last year for our honeymoon and I said I'm not going anywhere else for a while I get so stressed with packing and making a list of things to do and researching how to get there and how much it'll cost etc 😂 I wish I could just go somewhere and not have to over plan it all but I can't! So I don't find it massively relaxing! Apart from days at the pool which is nice!

Hope you have a fab time! I do like Spain 😍

FirstT1meMum · 27/07/2023 06:36

@suz2285 oh my gosh that does sound stressful! We're so lucky my dad owns an apartment in Spain so we've got stuff there so it takes some of the stress out! Just sat on the plane waiting to take off!

Mummyme87 · 27/07/2023 06:53

Have a wonderful holiday @FirstT1meMum

we are off to center parcs tomorrow, need to make sure my swimming costume
still fits!

congratulations of your little girl @RG9895

Luhou · 27/07/2023 07:33

How we all doing with morning sickness? Thought mine had settled a bit last week. But this week, it's everyday. I'm 15 weeks.

Mushroo · 27/07/2023 07:39

lilluce95 · 26/07/2023 22:51

@Mushroo not the Sweaty Betty's 🥲 I feel your pain!

I know Nike and H&Mhave a maternity collection and mp.com have a maternity range 🙂

It’s heartbreaking! Thank you, I’ll have a nosy :)

Onedayatatime24 · 27/07/2023 08:03

My hormones are all over the place at the minute. I'll be 16 weeks on Sunday and this whole week I've felt so low/anxious then angry, then wanting to burst into tears at any moment. I'm lucky that I've not had many physical symptoms but the mental side is draining me! Don't think this awful weather is helping as feel very couped up and like all I'm doing is working. 😮‍💨

lilluce95 · 27/07/2023 08:09

@FirstT1meMum I find airports unnecessarily stressful so I don't blame you for the build up 😂 hope you're feeling a bit better now and enjoy your holiday!!

@Luhou I was lucky to never have vomited but had pretty bad nausea. It's mostly gone now but I do have the odd days where I'm feeling a bit sicky still.

@Onedayatatime24 sorry to hear this!! ☹️ have you got any nice breaks or things to do coming up that might take your mind off of work for a bit?

RG9895 · 27/07/2023 08:09

Thank you everyone 💕💕

@Luhou I'm just over 16 weeks now and mine is still there 😞 but in the afternoons. I do have some good days though which makes me think its gone then it comes back worse! Sorry if that doesn't give you much hope! Im praying it'll go at 20 weeks...

sashastuck · 27/07/2023 08:12

Congratulations on your baby girl @RG9895 🩷

@FirstT1meMum airports are bloody stressful! Hope you have a lovely time. I wouldn’t put it past me to be the same at the airport on Monday.

@Onedayatatime24 I’ve had some similar feelings this week, not sure if it’s a come-down of the highs of the gender scan, telling my family etc, but I’ve definitely had more anxieties about money and logistics this week than ever before.

And the heartburn has started… any tips? I know I need to eat smaller evening meals now for sure

PartRadish · 27/07/2023 08:25

15+2 and I still have no bump. Its starting to make me a little bit anxious now because this is my fourth baby and I know people show earlier in subsequent pregnancies usually, but also I've always had a obvious bump by now with my other pregnancies. This is my bump at 15 weeks with my now 6 year old. This time, nothing! 😕

Anyone else still not popped?

Due January Part 5 🎉
suz2285 · 27/07/2023 08:29

@Onedayatatime24 I'm freaking out cos I don't 'feel' much pregnant the last few days! I'm also getting anxious about telling more people @sashastuck I need to tell my boss next week! And then word will get around at work! I haven't told my extended family - aunts and things either! I also need to eat smaller meals at dinner time!

@PartRadish I'm definitely rounded but no bump as such, still wearing all my normal things, no one has noticed etc... I don't really want a massive bump so early though so that's ok 😂😂 I've definitely felt bigger some weeks but depends on the bloat! This is my first but I don't have any stomach muscles so it's not like they're holding baby in... I've only put on a few lbs but I feel flabby!

Mummyme87 · 27/07/2023 08:39

I’m still having nausea and vomiting. It’s hit and miss though, probably feel sick everyday and vomit 4 days out of 7 maybe. Depends, vomited three times on Tuesday.

my bump is only there when I stand up. I’m lying flat now and there’s nothing, when I sit it just looks very fat!

LydiaWalker93 · 27/07/2023 08:41

Advice needed please :(
I had my 16 week appointment last Monday with a midwife who wasn't my usual midwife, all went fine and she said baby's heartbeat was strong and healthy but yesterday I missed a call from my midwife which was then followed by a text saying I've been arranged an appointment with my midwife tomorrow (Friday 28th) but I'm a little confused as to why because I've already had my 16 week appointment so I don't know why I would be scheduled another one.

Anyone else had this?

Kalodin · 27/07/2023 08:52

Give them a call @LydiaWalker93 , it could be a simple mix up, they didn't realise the other MW covered your 16 app already.

Mummyme87 · 27/07/2023 08:55

Yes agree with @Kalodin give her a call. Likely arranging 16wk appt and not realised you’ve had it.

LydiaWalker93 · 27/07/2023 09:07

@Kalodin @Mummyme87 thank you both! I'm going to give her a call in a second, one very anxious mumma here!

ThomasinaLivesHere · 27/07/2023 09:28

@FirstT1meMum Hope you have a great time! Airports can be really stressful. Hopefully you’ll be in a more relaxed mood soon.
I don’t think I’ll be going abroad for quite a few years. I don’t know how people do it with babies and toddlers 😂

Congrats on the all the scans and gender reveals.

I’m not really showing. I think I just look bloated or that I gained a little weight on my tummy. I will tell work soon though.

Dannic2018 · 27/07/2023 09:33

@PartRadish do you know what your having ? Sorry if I’ve missed it my brain is a sieve at the moment 🤣
Ive found I’m not as big this time and it’s my 4th baby but we are having a girl and with my daughter albeit I was skinny then I didn’t show till later. Mine is alot of fat and bloat if I’m honest but I was definitely bigger with my son 3 years ago. I’ve also got an anterior placenta too! ( pic with my friends at a party at the weekend) I just look like I’ve eaten too much cake 🤣

Onedayatatime24 · 27/07/2023 09:45

@lilluce95 thanks, I know it'll pass but it's so draining when my head feels fuzzy 24/7! Yes, we have a week off in a couple of weeks so hoping the break in routine will help. :)

@sashastuck yes, I think the same! Now we've told everyone we need to, I'm like oh crap we better start thinking about x, y, z. And I had to write my job spec up for work for my mat cover and that has made me question taking 12 months off, if we can afford it, what happens after the 12 months etc.! Just a lot to think about!

@suz2285 same here with not really 'feeling' pregnant. No proper bump yet and no scan for 4 weeks so I'm still not sure it's sunk in tbh!! I've found it quite nervy to tell people too, in case I've made it all up or something 😂 insane I know! Hope it goes well with telling your boss!

lilluce95 · 27/07/2023 10:03

@suz2285 @Mummyme87 same here, feeling anxious because I don't feel pregnant! I've definitely rounded too but equally look tubby when I sit down and flat when I lay down haha. In a few weeks though we'll wonder why we ever worried I'm sure 🥰

@Onedayatatime24 I feel you!! I work from home alone (partner works away) and it's so draining! The break will absolutely help, are you going anywhere nice? 😊

sashastuck · 27/07/2023 10:39

@Onedayatatime24 makes perfect sense. I’m definitely sharing those feelings! And living so far away from my family will be hard. When I don’t see them for months I’m fine but now I’ve spent the week with them again I’m like how will I cope without them 😭

To those not feeling pregnant, I don’t really either and I’m 17 weeks today. Some round ligament pain and heartburn but nothing much. We’ll be feeling them kick within a month hopefully x

NatiNatasha · 27/07/2023 10:50

My last holiday in Spain it was in the heatwave 🤦🏻‍♀️ and pregnant... It was horrible, too hot and in some places 50 degrees.
I got dizzy and I had to go to the hospital there.
