My epau have been so lovely and helpful

But actually getting routine appointments more less than easy.
Can't get through to anyone and still no booking in or 12 week scan booked. I'm 10+4.

@Hopefulfirstround I understand. I'm an IVFer... guessing you might be too? It's all very nerve wracking ❤️

@FinallyMrsT That's bloody annoying. I got my booking in appointment about a week after I did the referral form, but I still don't have my scan date. My appointment is tomorrow so I'm gonna chase the midwife in person then.

Totally understand the reassurance. It definitely helped me feel less anxious but around 10 and half weeks my nausea started to fade and I stopped vomiting. I’m now 12+2 and only really have tiredness and some food aversions left.

Twin scan all good! 2 x sacs and 2 x placentas which is great news.

Any guesses on sex? I am useless at these things and have no idea so would love any thoughts!

So glad your scan went well. From what it looks like I’m guessing twin 1 is a boy but not sure about twin two.

Just had my scan! All looking great and bang on expected due date of the 13th. No idea re sex but I'll be interested in any ones guesses 🥰

@FinallyMrsT I’m 11 weeks +4 and just had my booking appointment. My midwife phoned last week and apologised for the delay. It has meant that I don’t know when my 12 week scan will be but she’s put me through for an urgent scan and said I might just get a phone call a day before and it might be in any of my trusts hospitals.

Love seeing all your scan pictures! I've had mine today too! Measuring at 12+3 so only a day behind what we originally thought! Due date is 16th March 🥰 my friends all think I'm having a boy!

@Hiddenvoice thanks for the reassurance.
It's not ideal about your scan though is it. Having to drop everything for a next day appointment. My job isn't that flexible. Like I work nights and days sometimes the most senior nurse available leaves my ward in a dangerous place. I've had to call in sick so much due to vomiting so much already.

Is there anyone waiting on results from bloods for if they need the Anti D injections? I’ve had my screening results for DS etc but not that bit.

I just had to have it in my last 2 pregnancies, but this time they are screening for it, so I may need it, I may not 🤷🏼‍♀️

@sherbertlemon17 what do you mean they’re screening for it?? I’m Rh- and have always had to have it, I assumed it’d be the same this time! Never had to have it after birth so assume my DC are all rh- too but didn’t know they could screen in pregnancy?!

@FinallyMrsT no not ideal in the slightest, I know work needs to provide time for appointments but sadly I also can’t just drop things and attend a next day scan. Feel like I’m waiting in limbo but feeling a little more relaxed since I’ve had my booking appointment.

Have you managed to speak to anyone?

@OhmygoshREALLY I just assumed everywhere screened for it now, crazy how different trusts can be!

So at the 12 week scan bloods, they test for the baby’s blood group from the mothers blood sample, how crazy is that?? If they detect that the baby is + I will need the anti D and if - I won’t.

@preggo39 we had a miscarriage post first round of Ivf in January and then started on Dhea Etc , I got pregnant pre the next cycle but miscarried at 10 weeks , and this time we got pregnant just on medication again , I think you’re a bit more fertile post miscarriage and the med help . Loving all the ultrasound pictures . What are ye looking at to guess the gender ?

I was told I was being screened for it this time too (after needing it with my first pregnancy), but I’ve not heard anything on the result. I saw my midwife two weeks ago now and I expected to get either a letter or some contact directly from the midwifery team.

it would be lovely not to need it tbh. I ended up having 5 top ups because of spotting in late pregnancy last time!

@glasspaw Completely sympathise! I had some spotting and bigger bleeds in my first pregnancy, so need lots of top ups too. Luckily second time, only the standard amount. I’m not bad with injections at all, but this one is the worst!

@Hiddenvoice literally not heard a thing. Every port of contact says something different so I have spoken to my trust PALs because at yhe very least they need to be telling women the same thing. No body else in this chat seems to have the problems I have. So they need to sort it out

Ours went well today, due date on 19th March as predicted. Not a clue on gender but interested to know your guesses if you wanted to 😍

My feeling is a boy too, I shall update in 7 weeks time :) hope everyone's scans go well if your waiting for one x
