Thanks for new thread!

Justhereforthesong · 20/07/2023 15:15

Can I join? ☺️ I am 6+4 - I think anyway as my cycles vary and this was our first month ttc so didn’t really think it would happen! I feel in more disbelief because it’s our first month if that makes sense! I tested positive on the first day of missed period (pic attached) and it was very strong! Since then all my tests come up with the test line before the control line and much darker - been reading up on it and lots say potential twins?! all very exciting x

Hi all! Congrats on all the new bfps! How are you all coping work-wise? I’m 6weeks today and absolutely shattered, I wfh and the temptation to go back to bed is strong!

FinallyMrsT · 20/07/2023 16:05

I honestly feel like a fraud. I have no symptoms I feel so strange.
Unless you class insomina as a symptom.

LeopardLover · 20/07/2023 16:11

Hello to all the new faces and congratulations! 💜 @MrsMcH23 I'm suffering 😭 it's easier to hide it when WFH. I'll be on the office next week 👀

@Justhereforthesong Do you have any twins in your family? One of my best friend's has twins! It isn't hereditary, she has hyperovulation. You never know 😉

@FinallyMrsT I'm so jealous! That was me in my last pregnancy 😅x

BBno4 · 20/07/2023 16:47

When do we tell the dr? With my last pregnancy I did it straight away but this time I want to wait a bit of I can.

Ceearr · 20/07/2023 17:26

Just commenting so I get notifications!

FinallyMrsT · 20/07/2023 17:34

@LeopardLover I need symptoms so it feels real. Ans insomnia isnt ideal when your working long days as a nurse on a ward. Im walking round like a zombie currently. I didn't think I'd be able to have any more children so I genuinely feel likes it's not even real.

TMK238 · 20/07/2023 17:43

Hello everyone! Congratulations 😊 I’m 6+1 (although cycles vary). I suffered a mc in 2020 and this is my first pregnancy since. Just wondering if it’s normal to feel period type aches? I’m very tired, sore boobs and feel slightly nauseous now and then (which actually eases my concerns) but the aches are stopping me from being too excited. I had them for a few days last week, then they stopped for a couple of days and now they’re back again.
Any advice appreciated 😊

Justhereforthesong · 20/07/2023 17:56

@LeopardLover my cousins are twins but that’s on my dads side so I’m not sure if that would make a difference! I’m probably just reading too much into the tests 😂

Pipperleen · 20/07/2023 18:17

@TMK238
yes, very normal - I have been the same this time and when I had my DD too.

FiddleLeaf · 20/07/2023 18:20

Hey everyone, I’m 5w tomorrow and nausea has started this evening. I’m feeling pretty rough and haven’t had much of an appetite since getting a BFP but forcing myself to have a good dinner.

Sassy90 · 20/07/2023 18:50

Thanks for the new thread!

6 weeks tomorrow and experiencing some mild nausea last few days. My boobs have started to hurt a bit today!

Is anyone else's bloating out of control at the moment? I look and feel huge 😂

Congratulations to everyone who have recently got their BFPS!

LeopardLover · 20/07/2023 19:01

@BBno4 I waited until 6 weeks and actually regret at as my booking appointment is now the same day as my scan 😅 12 weeks!

@FinallyMrsT I 100% get that! I said the same thing 😅😫 wow, that's so cool! Hope you manage to get some sleep - that's a tough job on a full night's sleep!

@TMK238 Congratulations! Sorry about your MC. I've had lots of cramping and had lots last time 🥰 so much stretching going on!

@Justhereforthesong There's always a chance, we had twins announced on the previous thread 😁

@FiddleLeaf Welcome! It's so lovely to see you over here 💖 I'm also pretty rough! If I'm hungry I feel awful, then if I eat too much I feel awful 😅
@Sassy90 omg the bloat is real. I looked like this at 16 weeks last time 🤣

Hiddenvoice · 20/07/2023 19:05

I’m about 4-5 weeks. It’s hard to tell as I think I found out around 3 weeks and got a blood test fairly early. Phoned midwife today to register my pregnancy and booked in for an early scan in a few weeks.

I don’t have many symptoms other than cramping. This is baby number 2 for me and didn’t have any symptoms with my first pregnancy either. It makes it so nerve wracking though, don’t want to be sick but least I’ll feel pregnant then 😂

Congratulations everyone! 🥳

blodyn91 · 20/07/2023 20:35

Decided to go to run track training tonight, managed 30 mins of the session then crashed! Sharp pain and cramping, coach asking whats wrong 🙈 I just slowed right down, now absolutely shattered.
Need to learn to slow down! But on annual leave now till July 31st 🥰😴🥳🥳
Welcome to all the new joiners
Im getting desperate to announce to my friends, but husband won't let me😫😫😫😫

ZoomiesCat · 20/07/2023 21:48

Congratulations to everyone on here, hoping you all have a smooth pregnancy.

Would I be able to join, I'm 6+1 with our second. And oh my goodness the symptoms have hit me hard in the last week with non-stop nausea and sickness, and exhaustion. I can't remember it being this tough with our first despite being very sick for most the pregnancy. Hoping it lifts soon and for anyone else experiencing difficult symptoms, your not alone 💕

TMK238 · 21/07/2023 06:22

@Pipperleen @LeopardLover thanks both for the reassurance 💕

MMM20 · 21/07/2023 06:59

Morning everyone! I’ve just done my BFP and think I’m around 4wks+4 but I had cooled down from tracking my cycle over the past couple of months due to a miscarriage in early March @ 12 weeks.
Feeling quite nauseous already and my sense of smell is very sensitive…seems a bit early but I guess it’s a good sign?
Im nervous about another miscarriage, it’s so hard not knowing what is going on.
I feel like I had just got through the low mood that had followed my miscarriage and was starting to feel chipper again and now it’s back to the land of uncertainty! I’m 37 and this is my first so it all feels quite new and scary.
Ultimately I’m excited, but we’ve not told many people so I’m joining for a bit of support and connection.
:-)

welcome @MMM20
Can understand the anxiety! this is a great place to let all feelings out.
We have to stay optimistic though 🧖🏼‍♀️🧖🏼‍♀️ as hard as that is at times. Keep your mind busy

FinallyMrsT · 21/07/2023 07:34

@MMM20 welcome, so sorry about your loss. I think I am 4 +1.
I'm under the impression any symptom is good because I have not really had any, which really makes me nervous so I'd like some 🤣
I had some cramps wake me up today though so maybe they are coming. There is plenty of love and support here. We havnt told anyone. But I think I'll tell my mum this weekend- if she hasn't already figured it out like last time she knew before I did 😅.

@LeopardLover i crashed as soon as i got home. I think id consider best sleep ever! oh very tough job. I love it but I'm not sure I'm going to love it the same in pregnancy 🤣 it's a long time on my feet. I am on a course currently so I can become a mentor- teaching students. Just realised the 3hour pratical exam is in march. I think I'll have to tell my leader soon so I can be put in first for it. only one person can Sit it a day. So it's like a month of exams. I don't want to leave it until after maty leave. @Hiddenvoice I hear you. I want symptoms to make it feel real.

Lily124 · 21/07/2023 07:48

Hi all, can I join too? 4 weeks today so will be due at end of March! It's my first pregnancy. Only real symptom so far is mega sore boobs, but woke up feeling a bit nauseous this morning so worried the sickness is gonna kick in soon. Hope you're all doing well

KatY9876 · 21/07/2023 08:28

@MMM20 can you contact the midwife you had before or could you self refer to early pregnancy unit, they did a early scan for me at 7 weeks due to previous miscarriages and I was started on progesterone pessaries to try to prevent another miscarriage. Might help to give reassurance before 12weeks. X

Nmvasey85 · 21/07/2023 08:30

Anyone with toddlers feeling mum guilt? I feel so lacking in energy and nauseous this week. I can't be bothered to do anything. I'm constantly trying to sit on the sofa... I feel bad 😞. I had a MC at Easter so I'm a way I'm glad of the symptoms but it's tough!

No but I have a 12yo,10yo,8yo,7yo

My 10yo figured out the day after we found out as I quit vaping and reduced my coffee alot 😂

I've been so tired its unreal my 12yo has football training 3x a week

8yo does mixed martial arts 3x a week

And 10 & 7 yo do gymnastics 3x a week

I literally do not stop from waking to sort school runs to 9pm but since last week I've missed 2 football training sessions and 1 gymnastics session 🤦‍♀️ they are after 5pm and at that point I'm slumped on the sofa! Tbf my 12yo is more than capable of taking himself hes been in the team for 4 years now and it's just by his high school that he walks to daily but hes too lazy 😕

I've felt tremendous guilt this last week and they just broke up for the summer holidays too yesterday and the thought of letting them down so much feeling like this is really getting to me 😩

I'm going to make sure they still go to their classes and try and do one big day out with them once a week throughout the next 6 weeks and were camping twice aswell I just honestly cant see how I'm gona manage it while feel so exhausted!

Were only human and were growing humans so we need to be kinder to ourselves but it is a shit feeling isnt it ❤
