@Nmvasey85 Cyclizine really helped me last time. I couldn’t function without it. Had to take it regularly but it definitely helped.

Spoke to the midwives this morning and they’ve told me to stick a pad on incase I get anymore spotting but they’re not concerned at this stage.

Luckily I did only have the tiniest bit last night (and it was tiny, a spot on my chin has bled more!!) but it’s still frightened me. If I get anymore I’m to call back and they’ll send me to EPU.

Hi all, sorry a bit late in joining but have found all your comments really reassuring. I’m currently 13+1, date scan today showed 4th March due date. This is my first pregnancy, following a second round of IVF.

@Nmvasey85 Completely understand as I’ve had hyperemesis since 6 weeks and was given prochlorperazine (didn’t do much) then cyclizine was added which helped. I’ve had great support from the chat option at https://www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/ and they helped me prepare for my doctors appointments (as I was worried they wouldn’t give me anything). My friend also used their peer support telephone service and said it was great if you need someone to talk to.

@Nmvasey85 I’ve just started cyclizine and it has made a huge difference. I feel like I can actually function now! My issue was nausea more than vomiting. Fingers crossed you get prescribed something that works for you 🤞🏼

OhmygoshREALLY · 29/08/2023 18:41

Hi all, been lurking for ages but not really posting. Sorry to those who’ve been suffering with sickness and nausea. I was pretty rough and then last week was away camping somewhere that also catered all food and I felt great! I think a combo of near constant fresh air and eating way more than I do at home (so not getting too hungry in between) made a huge positive difference. Sadly am now back and feeling rough again!
Ive mostly just been really, really, horrendously anxious, have been kind of closed off and pushing DP away. Had (another) private scan today though and all still ok, 10+3 now, so am going to try and relax and trust that things might be ok this time. 12 week scan the week after next!

sherbertlemon17 · 29/08/2023 20:22

Hi everyone, do you mind if I join?

I was over on the Feb group but after our dating scan today my EDD has moved to March 1st so 13+4 and wondered if you guys would mind if I hang out here?

Hope those of of you suffering with sickness aren’t doing too bad 💜

Psmama22 · 29/08/2023 21:24

@sherbertlemon17 of course! Congratulations

FinallyMrsT · 30/08/2023 09:03

@Nmvasey85 I'm 9+4 and I got proclomazpine even though I wasn't being sick I just couldn't function. And if I'm honest the tablets actually made me sick so I stopped
However over the weekend I stopped keeping anything down. I was reluctant to go the hospital because I work there and new how busy it was. I rang gp yesterday morning and they gave me an injection of cyclizine in hope it kick started the anti sickness and then gave me another prescription of proclormazipine but via buccal (put it top of your gums and let it dissolve rather than a tablet to swallow) I had my first one last night and that seemed to work better than a tablet. And so thankful I've avoided an admission. My gp did however ring epau for me and so that if I start again vomiting I can go straight there rather than wait in a&e.

I just had my scan and all looks ok! I haven't had any symptoms at all, not even sore boobs like that time. (Sorry to brag, I know a lot of people have been very ill!).

I kept thinking I'd get there and there wouldn't be anything in there 😂 so im really shocked! Happy though, due date 7/3/24

@sherbertlemon17 of course! Congratulations

Thank you ☺️

I’ve read back over the last half of the thread since yesterday, and so many of you have been on such a journey! Hopefully much smoother sailing from here on 🤞🏻

Loving hearing about these happy 12 week scans. Mine's Friday morning and I cannot wait.

LeopardLover · 30/08/2023 20:36

@Ruthsoph I have this too! So uncomfortable.

Yes me too! 12+4 today

Ruthsoph · 30/08/2023 21:23

@vix_85 @LeopardLover it’s very uncomfortable and sometimes the tummy ache makes me think I am going to get
my period ( if that makes sense)

Yes, loads! The bloating this time round has been unbelievable, this is my 8th pregnancy (3dc and 4mc) and I’ve never had it like this ever. At 6 weeks I was the size i normally am at 6 months, absolutely crazy

Ruthsoph · 31/08/2023 09:43

@OhmygoshREALLY Congrats on your pregnancy xx
its usually the end of the day that i am so bloated i literally feel like i will explode. I am 13 weeks but look 6 months 😂

LeopardLover · 31/08/2023 13:08

@Ruthsoph @OhmygoshREALLY I keep saying I looked like this at 6 months last time 🙈

Anyone else waiting for combined screening results? Feels like I've been waiting an age!

vix_85 · 31/08/2023 14:52

My private harmony results are delayed

How long ago did they take your bloods? Have they given a reason for the delay? I hope they get it resolved soon, it's not really on with how much you pay.

LeopardLover · 31/08/2023 16:05

@vix_85 So frustrating, sorry! Like the wait isn't long enough already 😫

sherbertlemon17 · 31/08/2023 17:21

@LeopardLover I’m waiting on mine. Only had them done on Tuesday at our scan, but I’m over waiting already 😅

LeopardLover · 31/08/2023 17:26

@sherbertlemon17 hahaha, mine was last Friday but might as well have been Tuesday with the bank holiday! It's been 3 working days now so hoping I won't get a call tomorrow and I'll get that nice generic letter early next week!

I had them done Sunday 20th and now delayed to early next week. I'm fully expecting them to need a new blood draw as I can't see it lasting this long unless they freeze them

Raspbear · 01/09/2023 11:01

All gone well at scan this morning, so relieved. I'm 12+6 today with a due date of 9th March.

Can anybody take a guess at the sex from this scan pic?

March 2024 continued!
Mum1303 · 01/09/2023 11:42

Hey 👋🏻
hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m 13+6 today due 2nd March. 35 so feeling like an old mum to be. Combined screening was an absolute worry with me being a little older but 12 weeks scan good and low risk results.
still suffering daily nausea even with cyclizine!
congratulations everyone!! 😃
