@LeopardLover I’ll let you know in 7 weeks….!!

what gender is your first?

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 09:43

@Hopefulhoney6 Please do 😁 A boy!! 🥰 This pregnancy feels very different but I feel like I'm a boy mum ☺️x

RosieS22 · 28/08/2023 14:14

Anyone else still exhausted? Bank hol weekend has been spent relaxing/lying down.
12+3 and scan is tomorrow. Wondering how I'll find the energy to be go 🤦🏼‍♀️
Still have headaches/nausea etc and can't see much improvement even though I'm heading to second trimester.
DD has woken up with chickenpox so I'll be going to scan alone as we have no one to look after her. DH is gutted. We were going to take her too so feeling a bit flat about all that 😟

Hopefulfirstround · 28/08/2023 18:14

Just had a normal 9 week scan !!! 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 thankfully because I’m so tired and sick , if I wasn’t pregnant I would be seriously concerned for my health 😂 due March 31st so just about still belong in the group

Lydia9228 · 28/08/2023 18:33

I was 12 weeks on Saturday and the week before I’d started feeling more human, less nauseous and more energy but since the end of last week it’s came back again and the tiredness too! Hoping it all disappears soon and I feel a bit better 😅

FinallyMrsT · 28/08/2023 18:44

I'm 9+3 and for most most it's just been nausea (vomited twice a few weeks back after trying anti sickness- so I've just been coping with acupressure bands since) however it's now been over 24 hours since I kept any food down. And I can't even keep sips od water down today. Probably about 8pm last night when I last had a drink. I'm being treated for a uti on top. This is deffo the lowest point for me.
However I'm starting to worry about dehydration. Reluctant to go a&e as I was in urgent care yesterday with this uti. But when should I start considering it as no choice.

  • just tried to eat a dry cracker and it came straight back up

Oh you poor thing 😔 It's coming up to 24 hours re water so I do think it's time to get some help 😫 I really hope the UTI clears up soon as well. Xx

Ap24 · 28/08/2023 19:21

@FinallyMrsT I think you should definitely go to a&e. They'll only be able to put you on a drip but 24 hours without fluids is far too long. I hope you feel a little better soon.

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 19:29

@RosieS22 Still tired and sick daily over here at 12+6 (adjusted dates). I've been napping this weekend 🙈 Hopefully by 16 weeks we'll be fine! I had two days without being sick so I thought I'd got over it... But na 😅

Sorry about the scan situation 😔 would you consider a private 16 week scan? DH couldn't come to my 12 week scan due to covid so we did that instead! X

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 19:31

@Hopefulfirstround Such good news! Congratulations 💜

@Lydia9228 I had two good days and felt cheated haha 🙈 Hopefully it won't last much longer!

@Ap24 How are you feeling?

BBno4 · 28/08/2023 19:32

I've had really bad nausea but no actual sickness. I only threw up with my 1st and this is my 4th.

Still feeling very tired and haggard.sWhere's this pregnancy glow im suppose to get?!

Maybe you don't get it with subsequent pregnancies lol

RosieS22 · 28/08/2023 20:34

@LeopardLover feels like such a long wait when you've been feeling so rubbish for so long, doesn't it? I think you might be right though, I think it was about 16 weeks where things improved with my last pregnancy.
Ate a big more at dinner as I was feeling hungry and thought that might be making my headache worse. Nope. Bad idea 🤢

That might be a good shout about a 16 week scan. Hadn't thought of that. Might have a look locally and see what kind of prices they are charging.

Hope everyone that is still suffering is feeling better soon! 🤞🏼

HKS90 · 28/08/2023 20:35

@LeopardLover we both think boy too!

Has anybody been put on daily aspirin? I’ve been prescribed as my mum had pre-eclampsia with me but I’m nervous about taking it. I’m sure I’m just being over cautious but worried about potential side effects. My blood pressure has never been a concern which only makes me more reluctant. I think I just need to be reassured that I’m just being silly 🤣

Elphamouche · 28/08/2023 20:36

Trying not to panic but it’s not working. Very light spotting after a wee this evening. 10+3.

just absolutely terrified after my MMC earlier this year.

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 20:41

@Elphamouche I know it's scary but I've had lots of small amounts of blood and all is totally fine. Can you call the EPU I'm the morning? I'm a regular at mine 🙈 With your history I'm sure they'd be happy to check you! Sorry this must be really stressful 😔

Turns out I have an atrophic cervix. They think that's what keeps causing it x

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 20:43

@RosieS22 I keep doing this with the big meals too 🙈 definitely look into it! 💜

@HKS90 Cute 💙 I'm not taking it but my friend took it all during her twin pregnancy. It seems to only help, right!? X

Elphamouche · 28/08/2023 21:08

@LeopardLover Yeah I’m going to call EPU in the morning. I’m hoping I’ve stabbed myself with a nail and cut myself!

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 21:42

@Elphamouche Could just be a slightly irritated cervix! X

ScottishStardust · 28/08/2023 21:56

@RosieS22 - meee!! I'm still exhausted and on working days, where I can't sneak a nap in I'm sleeping on the sofa by 8pm! I thought I was getting better but no! The exhaustion is... well exhausting! I'm bored of it haha! My morning queasyness is back as well.

This is one of the reasons for my radio silences recently, I just can't find any energy!

@HKS90 I was on aspirin for my first due not my weight / risks etc. it was fine. I've not been deemed a risk this time, I think because they have a information on how my body handled being pregnant last time. My BP isn't great so I suspect I'll get it eventually though.

Hopefulhoney6 · 29/08/2023 08:28

@HKS90 Im on daily aspirins not really a reason (I was seeing a private consultant for surgery to treat of Ashermans syndrome - scars left behind after a D&C) and he recommended I take it as it “doesn’t hurt”. So I’ve been on 75mg daily since I got pregnant. Now nearly 14 weeks. Lots of people I know on it, never any problems.

AliceS1994 · 29/08/2023 10:42

Yes! I have a 18 month old who is non-stop energy, and I am struggling to do more than make a cup of tea. Husband doing his best but works long hours and has a few upcoming commitments (best man at wedding type thing) so isn't all that useful to me the next few weeks! Hoping it all passed quickly! Grandparents are unaware but also not especially helpful and need a very good reason to babysit (clearly forgotten how hard toddlers are haha!) hoping I can get them to help out a bit more when we break the news!

Ruthsoph · 29/08/2023 11:06

@HKS90 Yes i am on Aspirin - 2x 75mg each night. I was told to take this as previous miscarriages and to take up until 16 weeks x

Nmvasey85 · 29/08/2023 12:24

How's everyone doing?

I'm feeling ropey at 13 weeks, rang docs this morning and I have an appointment for Friday. Does anyone know if anti sick/nausea meds actually work if you're not physically being sick?

The constant nausea and aversions are really getting to me. It's relentless and it's making me feel quite low and entirely fed up. I know it's worth it, I really do so I'm not complaining... well I am but you know 🤣

RosieS22 · 29/08/2023 12:38

Scan all fine this morning, just waiting for screening results now. Been put back to 12weeks exactly so DD 12th March. Kind of expected that as I have slightly longer cycles and the same thing happened with my first.
Probably explains why I'm still feeling so rubbish.

Anyone else have their scan today? Hope all goes well for anyone else booked in for this week!

Kez437 · 29/08/2023 15:07

@Nmvasey85 Totally recommend Ondansetron. I have been sooo ill (but not actually vomited much) that by the time I got to the doctor I was on the verge of a breakdown. I have had cyclizine in a previous pregnancy and again this time but it made absolutely no difference but this is probably what they will try and give you. If it works great, if not call them back because there are other options! I'm 11+2 today and think I'm finally starting to see some easing of the nausea although the food aversions remain
