Congratulations @LeopardLover 🎉

Ruthsoph · 26/08/2023 09:47

@gtx1797h so sorry to read this it’s so devastating - I have also been in this same situation before
just give yourself time to heal and look after yourself xx

Ruthsoph · 26/08/2023 09:50

@LeopardLover I am also due 5th Mar 😀 had 12 week scan this week and also a CVS due to previous concerns and all came back clear! So relieved as now I feel I can think about this pregnancy with joy and not worry
here is my scan - any idea on the sex?

hi I just wanted to check with the ladies who are on progesterone pessaries how Long you are on them for? the nice guidelines say up until 16 weeks but my health board only do up until 12 weeks unless you have had genetic testing

Hopefulhoney6 · 26/08/2023 20:57

@gtx1797h so so sorry to hear about the missed miscarriage. And it’s so hard when they say “your dates could be out” and you KNOW they’re not. Like lots of others, I have also been there and it’s devastating so just give yourself time.

@LeopardLover interesting you’re the same as me - they dated me 4 days different (so not much). Last time did you come later than due date?? I reckon I’ll be late anyway as mum and sister were!!

@krissy12 Im on progesterone from a private consultant and he has said to 15 weeks but I think it’s just because he can say that and “why not” but from 12 weeks should be ok to stop, as the placenta has kicked in. Im on cyclogest 400mg twice a day xx

I got prescribed 12 weeks worth of 400ug twice daily but I used leftovers first so I'll keep going until I run out.... probably around 14/15 weeks

@krissy12 my EPU have prescribed until 16 weeks. Could you maybe show them this leaflet (I know might be easier said than done, you’d think the NICE guidelines would be enough to do it until 1!!) https://www.tommys.org/sites/default/files/2023-06/Early%20pregnancy%20bleeding%20and%20progesterone%20guide%20V1.2%20pdf.pdf

thanks ladies at the epu she wasn't sure how long I would be on it she was going to get the consultant to prescribe it the next day and the letter went straight to my gp to prescribe. I might just chance another repeat prescription and see if they give me it. it was the midwife at my booking appointment that told me 12 weeks after looking it up

Pinkchicken85 · 27/08/2023 08:14

@gtx1797h just read your most recent message, I’m so sorry.

LeopardLover · 27/08/2023 08:26

@Hopefulhoney6 Due date twins!! 💜 I can't remember how much ahead I was last time but my son was 10 days late. Which is pretty standard for first time mums!

@Ruthsoph Oh yay! 5th March club! I'm going to get an NIPT for peace of mind (CVS if needed). Right.... 🤔 I'm going to look for online tips and come back 🤣 I've forgotten skull theory but I used to be good at it!

LeopardLover · 27/08/2023 08:26

@Ruthsoph It's a boy 😉 x

Busylizzie85 · 27/08/2023 08:48

I second @LeopardLover @Ruthsoph I think it's a boy also!

Had my NIPT bloods yesterday, results in 10 working days. Have my first NHS scan next Friday too and cannot come quickly enough. Nervous though.

Am just shy of 12 weeks and good news is sickness seems more manageable- I've only actually thrown up once this week, but it was twice daily back in weeks 9 and 10.

Hopefulhoney6 · 27/08/2023 18:44

@LeopardLover yeah I’m expecting that I’ll be late for some reason!

Have you been looking up skull theory? Any idea on the sex of mine?! It changed quite a bit from 10 to 13 weeks. Haha. I have none (but haven’t done much research).

@Raspbear did you do NIPT privately or with nhs? wondering if there is any difference in providers

Eeek! This one is a little tricky (like mine) 😅 I think it's probably a boy based on skull theory but not 100%. Do you have any other pics where the skull looks slightly different?

I love playing this game but I want a surprise. 🤣

@Raspbear I'm going to book mine in soon. 😊 The 10 day wait is a killer though! I don't have an option of just bloods here so I need to do the scan too (Ultrasound Direct).

Private! So far two things have felt worth paying extra for: more scans and the NIPT.

I went for Panorama. My local clinic did all the brand names (Harmony etc.) but DH went through the reliability data and decided Panorama looked best.

HKS90 · 27/08/2023 20:29

@LeopardLover want to have a go at mine? 😂 not the best pic as it’s a screenshot rather than an actual printout.

@Hopefulhoney6 I’d guess boy for yours too!

Ruthsoph · 27/08/2023 20:33

@Busylizzie85 @LeopardLover I thought it might be a boy as my symptoms this time were much worse than before x

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 00:07

@HKS90 Not the easiest to see but I'd also say boy! Is this a boys' club? 😉 X

Hopefulhoney6 · 28/08/2023 07:55

@LeopardLover … interesting!! I’m sort of imagining a boy….. we did NIPT and didn’t do the sex but I think we will find out at 20 weeks. I’m not bothered but DH wants to and I think maybe it will help me imagine our future family more. I just didn’t find out at Harmony as after MC I was too scared. This is my 10 week one 😂 what looks like a huge nose is a hand!

LeopardLover · 28/08/2023 08:24

@Hopefulhoney6 Based on skull theory, he's definitely a boy! But nub theory confuses me a bit... So I'm getting conflicting vibes if we factor that in 🤣 maybe because this is 10 weeks!

Also getting NIPT but not going to find out 😊 I keep calling baby a boy anyway 🙈
