@Elphamouche No, I hear you. I've pulled my ribs from spewing. Really struggling to work!

Thank you. Had more spotting this week so back on Monday for another scan and some further investigations 🙈

It's your booking appointment, right? Hope it goes well!

LeopardLover · 17/08/2023 20:40

@Lemon1111 Oh wow, congratulations! What an incredible photo 😍😍😍 hopefully we'll have loads more like this in the coming weeks. X

Lemon1111 · 17/08/2023 20:49

Thankyou @LeopardLover @BBno4 @Busylizzie85 i can’t wait to see everyone else’s scans :)

krissy12 · 18/08/2023 06:30

@Lemon1111 that's a great picture

I have a scan booked today needed something to tide me over until the dating scan

I'm 9+2 today and struggling already with the weight gain anyone else? I'm finding it hard to get my jeans buttoned. this is my second baby and I showed quite early with my first the bloat just turned to bump

BBno4 · 18/08/2023 07:33

Yes the weight gained struggle is real.
I'm 9w 0d today but have put on weight already. I'm also eating more so I cant blame it all on baby weight. My lower stomach is on permanent bloat and my breasts have gone huge and painful.

LeopardLover · 18/08/2023 07:59

@krissy12 Good luck today! 💜

I've gained loads of weight but it's all awful diet, not this tiny baby 😅 I was so small last time! The sickness has just been next level though so I'm being kind to myself.

I'm living in dungarees and leggings, I haven't worn jeans since I got my BFP!

krissy12 · 18/08/2023 08:16

thank you. I know I think I'm kidding myself on that it's baby and not just all the crisps haha I need to get some leggings

EastCoastExile · 18/08/2023 18:28

krissy12 · 19/08/2023 08:07

aww these are amazing pictures

Hopefulfirstround · 19/08/2023 17:52

also really struggling with weight gain, I’m up 1.5 kg already and I’m only 8 weeks 🫠 my diet has been relatively good but with the tiredness and nausea I’m finding it very difficult to exercise . Hopefully the nausea ends soon, I’m so exhausted with it . I’ve been living off crackers and yoghurt

LeopardLover · 19/08/2023 21:34

@Hopefulfirstround I'm not weighing myself but nothing fits 😬 I've definitely hopped at least one size but probably two. Which is ridiculous!

Also can't wait to feel better to sort myself out 🙈

krissy12 · 20/08/2023 07:57

I have a bit of a niche question. I know delivery is a while off but I have my booking appointment next week and wanted some more information incase it is discussed.
with my first I had an easy labour but had the worst level of a third degree tear and had to go to theatre. I was told if I got pregnant again I would have an appointment with a consultant at 16 weeks and it would be recommended I have a c section. However I really don't want a c section it gives me the fear and i recovered really well last time so would prefer to go down the natural route again.
has anyone else been in this position?

LeopardLover · 20/08/2023 08:31

@krissy12 I had a 3B tear and was told the same (although I didn't recover as well). I've always been given the option, they haven't forced c-section on me so it'll be the same for you. You'll just be informed of the risks.

I will be opting for a c-section (I really don't want one either 😅) because if it happens again, it'll be a lot worse and the main concern is what happens during menopause. That being said, the risks are so low and plenty of women go on to have wonderful births after a third-degree year. My recovery has been awful so all of my loved ones are pushing for c-section and I get it 🤣🙈

ame88 · 20/08/2023 08:36

9+1 and feeling like I've been pregnant forever already!
I feel those that are talking about weight gain! Haven't weighed myself but I feel so bloated and clothes already looking different!
My little girl (nearly 2) was 10 lb 13 with forceps and I have a terrible recovery,
I'm opting for an elective c section whether they like it or not!

Hopefulhoney6 · 20/08/2023 08:41

@krissy12 a friend had the same as this. She was told c-section next time, or maybe epidural (no pain relief for first). And that she will have consultant led care (which she sees nothing bad in!) and some extra scans.
however she has been seeing a lovely pelvic health physio privately who has said if she does some exercises etc then she doesn’t see why she should have to have a C-section and she can advocate for herself if she gets to that point. Is the tear still troubling you? Have you seen anyone in pelvic health to talk through trying to mitigate it happening again?

Hopefulhoney6 · 20/08/2023 08:42

Oh an @krissy12 just seen you have recovered well so I think you have reasons to push for not having a c section.
