Hi , same here. Still hasn’t sinked in . 🙈

Khanga27 · 06/08/2023 18:37

Thank you. It's felt long, as our EPU didn't have earlier appointments but they did say they would consider first scan measurements at least.

I've still had no signs of anything wrong, and cruelly have had worsening nausea too and extreme fatigue (am physically and mentally exhausted). But based on the scan pics and measurements 3 weeks behind it seems pretty certain, will def need some medical management or d&c, really don't think it will happen naturally.

I hope your appointment on Tuesday is handled with kindness and care. This must be such a heartbreaking time for you.

Of course everyone is different, but I think medical management is probably a good move, especially if you can't take the mental toll of waiting for more weeks. I don't think I could do that.

It is cruel that your body is putting you through this 💔 I hope you aren't waiting too much longer. Sending lots of love. X

OhmygoshREALLY · 06/08/2023 00:05

@Mailys i had a biggish bleed last week and have been spotting on and off ever since, pink brown and red. Had a scan today and baby is fine and happy but she could see another sac with the start of something in it but nothing else - she said it was probably a twin that didn’t progress so I assume that’s the cause of the bleeding. I also had a big gush of blood at about 9 weeks with my middle DC, no cause ever found and he was totally fine so it’s not always bad news, although it is always scary. Hope all is ok for you too x

Thanks so much for your encouragement. It turned to brown but by mid morning yesterday there was nothing else. So really really hoping it was just implantation. We have visitors coming today and will go on weds night so hoping to have a scan on Thursday. Just so anxious!

BraveHeart91 · 07/08/2023 07:25

@STH1988 hey sorry I’ve been away myself.
umm no still don’t no if they are sharing a placenta. Have another scan on the 22nd this month. But they have their own sac which is brilliant news.

how’s you and bubbas?

BraveHeart91 · 07/08/2023 07:26

@LeopardLover heyy how are you?!

Scarletthoping · 07/08/2023 08:41

@LeopardLover - just googled and the placenta takes over at 10 weeks.

I’m 7 weeks today. Luckily not feeling as bad today so am able to work. Phew! The upside of being freelance is I can work in my pjs in bed if I have to!

Hope you’re OK to work too xx

Khanga27 · 07/08/2023 13:28

@sophieliz hope you have had luck with EPU x

STH1988 · 07/08/2023 16:31

@BraveHeart91 we are all fine thanks! can't wait to get to the second trimester, hoping to have a bit more energy. Great news that they're in 2 sacs - mine are as well! My 12 weeks scan isn't until September 4 which feels like so long at the moment!

I have an appointment tomorrow at 11am, my face and eyes feel swollen from just crying.

I've come up with 100 difference reasons why the dates are out in my head but I know deep down my dates correct 😔

It's so hard I know, I felt the same last week. I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's good you have been able to get an appointment so quickly, and really hope that you can get answers from your appointment tomorrow. I've had over a week to wait due to nurses being on holiday and it has dragged.

Make sure you try and rest and be kind to yourself as much as you can.

BraveHeart91 · 07/08/2023 16:50

@STH1988 do your babies share placenta ? I just had a letter with booking appointment for 22nd and it says scan can take 2-3 hours as it’s a very detailed scan 😮.

OhmygoshREALLY · 07/08/2023 18:33

@sophieliz and @Khanga27 I’m really sorry you’re both going through this. I’ve had 3 missed miscarriages and it absolutely sucks, nothing to redeem it, it’s just royally shit. You feel like you can’t trust your own body any more and it’s just horrible. If it’s any help, I’ve had 2x surgical management and 1x medical management and they were all fine, although I much preferred surgical and would recommend it as for me it was the best way of drawing a line under the whole thing physically and being able to start to move on emotionally. @sophieliz personally I think you’re wise to be preparing for the worst. The waiting is horrendous but you get through it because you have to, and time does help with the pain and loss 💐

RAMLMiles · 07/08/2023 21:03

Thank-you

It was a pretty shitty week honestly, found out my dads dying of Cancer on the Monday and then found out my baby is dead on the Sunday. When it rains it pours honestly, there isn't much to live for currently.

Thank you, and I am so sorry that you have had to go through this too!

It's been a long wait but after 10 days u
I have scan tomorrow morning. At this stage I just hope we get some closure, as the wait combined with the worsening pregnancy symptoms have been torture. I've gone full circle and feel like I've somewhat accepted what's to come, but I think it will still hit hard tomorrow.

MMM20 · 08/08/2023 08:53

Hi everyone,
I went for my private scan yesterday and they saw a yolk sack but not fetal pole. The sonographer said that it looked more like a 5 week pregnancy rather than seven and I did feel a bit shocked after having the blighted ovum miscarriage at the start of the year.
Now I think about it, I think conception was around 5 weeks ago but with the extra 2 weeks added I’d gotten confused with how late along I was! Now I feel really silly!
Has anyone else done this or does it sounds normal? I’m getting v confused about my dates now as it was the first month I didn’t track my ovulation!
What a minefield eh? 😵‍💫

FiddleLeaf · 08/08/2023 11:44

Sad news from me too I’m afraid. We had our rescan at our ivf clinic after measuring a few days small last week and we still have a heartbeat but it’s very slow. I couldn’t see it on the screen as clearly as last week. We’re back in next week for another scan but that’s basically to confirm it’s not viable I think.

Gutted but trying to be pragmatic as is my nature. Will spend this week crying on the sofa and then onwards. I will be a mother!

I wish you all the best March mothers xx

sophieliz · 08/08/2023 11:45

The worst has happened and I am heartbroken

Nmvasey85 · 08/08/2023 11:49

I'm so sorry to you all who have had bad news over the last few days, it's truly heart wrenching. I had a miscarriage at Easter so I really feel for you all, you have all of these plans and then they're taken away. Please take care of yourselves, it does get easier with time but not the cliche you understandably want to hear right now. I really hope you get your 🌈 babies xx

Khanga27 · 08/08/2023 11:58

I'm so sorry @sophieliz and @FiddleLeaf it's so hard and I've had the exact same confirmation today so I know how you feel. Fingers crossed for you @MMM20

So I've had confirmed after the worst possible 10 day wait since the private scan that I have had a MMC. Was in EPAU for over 2 hours where they discussed through options and everything and they were so supportive. Have opted for medical management but in hospital due to my tendency for fainting so I go in on Friday.

I feel very sad but there is also a sense of closure that I am no longer in this limbo hell, and also feel with how its happened that there is nothing i could have done.

Wish the rest of you luck with your pregnancies.

Busylizzie85 · 08/08/2023 12:17

So sorry @Khanga27 @sophieliz and @FiddleLeaf to hear you’re going through this ❤️

LeopardLover · 08/08/2023 12:59

@MMM20 This sounds quite stressful, but I think it's quite easy to get dates confused this early on! Especially if you don't know the exact date of conception.

Do you have a follow up scan booked in? 💗

LeopardLover · 08/08/2023 13:08

@sophieliz I'm so sorry, you've had such a heartbreaking week 💔 I hope you have loved ones who can support you 😔 x

LeopardLover · 08/08/2023 13:10

@FiddleLeaf Oh no 😢💔 Is there any chance things can improve? I know you've had such a tough journey getting here. I'm so sorry x
