I second the lucozade. I accidentally stumbled across it whilst out and needing a bit of energy and now I keep some in the house. Trying to restrict it due to the sugar content but it really does help me feel better.

Busylizzie85 · 06/08/2023 10:41

Had my ultrasound this morning all went well! Baby is measuring bang on date at 8+4. Had to be internal as could not get a clear image external but that is more due to my uterus being tilted.
Feel so relieved now 💕

Thats good news x

sophieliz · 06/08/2023 11:55

Been for my scan this morning and it wasn't good news, supposed to be 10+3 but measuring 5+6 and there isn't a heartbeat.

The scan was inconclusive and I have to re-scan in two weeks.

My heart is broken and I'm currently sat in a&e, I have such a bad feeling about this. I haven't had any bleeding but there is blood next to the 'baby' showing on the scan. I just don't know what to do.

Has anyone else had a similar experience and had a positive outcome?

Khanga27 · 06/08/2023 13:03

@sophieliz I am so sorry you are going through this. I experienced similar at my private scan last Saturday when I was meant to be 8+2 weeks (the private clinic gave their view but have had to wait until this Tuesday for an NHS EPAU scan).
I have been looking and hoping for a positive story as well. Please be kind to yourself.

Busylizzie85 · 06/08/2023 14:41

I'm so sorry @sophieliz I hope you get some answers really soon ❤️

@sophieliz I'm so sorry 😔 the two week wait feels particularly unfair when you just want answers. What are the next steps as you're in A&E? Sending lots of love. X

LeopardLover · 06/08/2023 16:09

@Busylizzie85 Glad the scan went well and you're feeling relieved 💕 x

LeopardLover · 06/08/2023 16:10

@Khanga27 I know it's been the longest wait but I'm glad you'll have some answers on Tuesday. You've been in my thoughts x

Scarletthoping · 06/08/2023 16:16

@sophieliz - I’m so sorry. Can’t believe you have to wait so long. Was the scan with your local EPU?

Scarletthoping · 06/08/2023 16:18

Feeling really worried. “Morning” sickness has really ramped up. I’ve spent yesterday and today either in bed or under a blanket on the sofa. Obviously it’s the weekend so it’s been OK to cancel stuff but tomorrow I have to work. I don’t know how I’m going to do it. I’m freelance so I don’t get sick pay if I don’t work 😫😫😫 Don’t know how I’m going to cope with this if it lasts for any length of time….

Hey hun I'm on 2x 400mg cyclogest 12 hrs apart because of my Pcos, I've found I've only been able to go once every 24 hrs and that's not like me usually a couple of times before being on these but that is a common side effect of them unfortunately 🤦‍♀️ xx

Hopefulfirstround · 06/08/2023 17:21

@Bellabeemarie my stomach is starting to look 16w pregnant and I’m only. 6+2 😂

krissy12 · 06/08/2023 17:21

@Hopefulfirstround I'm on cyclogest aswell after a miscarriage I find I go better if I have cereal like shreddies or bran flakes in the morning also tmi but sitting on toilet for a while with feet on a stool tends to get things going 🙈

Bellabeemarie · 06/08/2023 17:30

Hahahaha I was so bloated a week or so ago its settled down now it was uncomfortable lol I think they've made my nausea a lot worse tho 🙈😭

Spoke with the doctor in A&E who says it's a possible MMC, they don't take much notice of private scans so will scan me under the NHS.

The department isn't open on the weekends so she's put a referral in and I should get a call tomorrow or the day after for a scan asap, I will then have to wait a few weeks for the second scan under the NHS to compare the two NHS scans. I will have to wait to see if my body pushes the pregnancy out naturally and if not I'll then go and have my baby taken out.

No it was private xx

Scarletthoping · 06/08/2023 18:25

@sophieliz oh I’m glad you can have the next two on the NHS. Hope they call you in tomorrow to do the first one. Thinking of you xx

Thank you. It's felt long, as our EPU didn't have earlier appointments but they did say they would consider first scan measurements at least.

I've still had no signs of anything wrong, and cruelly have had worsening nausea too and extreme fatigue (am physically and mentally exhausted). But based on the scan pics and measurements 3 weeks behind it seems pretty certain, will def need some medical management or d&c, really don't think it will happen naturally.

@sophieliz I really hope you get that call tomorrow. 😔 Thinking of you x

@Hopefulfirstround The constipation is killing me! I'm not on any meds it's just been unbearable this time round. I used to drink green tea every morning and that would help but I can't touch hot drinks now. Cereal in the morning isn't helping either 😭

@Scarletthoping How far are you? I'm hoping things change when the placenta takes over 😫 I need to Google when that is 😅 I'm lucky in some ways I'm not freelance but I don't want to take sick days because I'm trying to hide this along as I can! But it's hard. Sending solidarity!

No such thing as TMI here 😂 thank you

krissy12 · 06/08/2023 22:12

@Hopefulfirstround I also got lactulose prescribed when pregnant with my DS and it worked a treat
