LeopardLover · 03/08/2023 13:53

@HKS90 I hope you're scan goes well ❤️

LeopardLover · 03/08/2023 16:22

@ScottishStardust Thank you! 💕 I hope tomorrow goes well - keep us updated! 🌟 well lucky you if you can hide it for now, I'm eating such junk to survive I can't squeeze into my clothes 🤣 I might have to embrace the 90s and buy cargo pants.... 👀

@BBno4 Me too hahahaha. No baby, all fat. I'm getting so hot these days I have to strip 🤣💜 how exciting you have baby #4 on the way and it's lovely you have MILs support.

Itsasomething · 03/08/2023 16:45

Hey, just putting this in for anyone following - spotting turned heavy and red with large clots. Scans confirmed early miscarriage.
Side note, didn't have any pregnancy symptoms or any of the usual miscarriage symptoms other than bleeding obviously, and persistent backache. Had to argus to be taken seriously because of this.

I'm out now, but best wishes to everyone else.

@Itsasomething I'm sorry you hear about your loss, take care and look after yourself.

Can we talk fashion? How are we hiding these tiny bumps? I've been living in Lucy and Yak dungarees but I need to switch it up. I work in marketing so it's very casual... I can't wear dresses when it's raining because it would be very out of character for me. I need elasticated waists 🙈

I’m living in a rotation of 3 outfits for the office. All big dresses from Monki or Hush. It’s not far from my usual style but disguising in autumn/winter would be a LOT easier with big jumpers & midi skirts.

Due to (probably IVF) bloat, I can’t wear jeans without a significant bump and being quite uncomfortable. I’m wearing arket joggers and smart tops for WFH with the camera pointed up!

I might just invest in some maternity leggings for home & indulge the comfort!

@Itsasomething Oh I am also so sorry for your loss 💔 Please be kind to yourself and take as long as you need to heal. 😔 I hope you have a good support system? Thinking of you x

LeopardLover · 03/08/2023 18:48

@FiddleLeaf Gosh, you're so right! I probably need to find my stash of midis although I probably need to size up this time 😑 thanks for the tip, I might go check out Arket! We don't have one here so I always forget about it. Love Hush too btw and those Monki smock dresses 👌🏻!

Lovall (was Love Leggings) are good. Although @glasspaw was it you who swears by Lululemon? Do they run TTC? X

eloisie · 03/08/2023 19:09

@Itsasomething so sorry to hear that. What do you mean by the usual symptoms of miscarriage?

Thank you @LeopardLover 😊 scan went well, good size and strong heartbeat 💕 they said my placenta is growing at the front though, don’t know if anybody else has had this before? Apparently it means it will take longer for me to feel baby move, and could cause problems if it covers the cervix? Not sure how worried or not I should be about it

Honestly do not worry about this! (In my opinion)
I had this with my last daughter. The placenta coming in front of the cervix is incredibly rare!
In terms of feeling baby later - this was true for me, I think I was about 24 weeks but you still feel them just as strong! I have amazing videos of her moving around

Oh such good news! An anterior placenta? 🥰 I had this with my son, it's nothing bad! Just means you won't feel kicks until later on but trust me it's a blessing. When I was in my third trimester his kicks would stop me in my tracks. If I didn't have an anterior placenta I'm not sure how I would've coped 🤣💕

ScottishStardust · 04/08/2023 09:37

I had my follow up scan this morning and seen baby's heartbeat! What a relief after the pain the other week, and lovely to see on my husbands birthday.

My dates are way off, as measuring a week earlier than I would have expected so only 6w4d - explains the faint line on my first test I guess! I'm not convinced I'm that early, but we'll roll with it until told otherwise haha!

@HKS90 - I also had an anterior placenta with my son, i think the only thing is you may not feel them as early or as hard/visible if it was laying another way. However I felt my son earlier than I expected so you won't miss out xx

Ap24 · 04/08/2023 10:02

Sorry I haven't posted in forever. I've been struggling with morning sickness and I'm now on my second lot of meds. Still signed off work and all I'm really managing is to move from bed to the sofa.

I still haven't had a date through for a dating scan. It seems that quite a few key people are on AL. Because I have PCOS and my periods are incredibly irregular we decided to go for a private dating scan the other day. My estimated dates were slightly out and I'm now just over 10 weeks and due 29th February.

Best of luck to anyone with scans upcoming. I didn't realise how worried I was until I struggled not to cry with relief during ours.

LeopardLover · 04/08/2023 10:34

@ScottishStardust Soooo pleased for you! 😍 What a relief 💜 I feel like it's just a guess with dates when they are so small.

LeopardLover · 04/08/2023 10:35

@Ap24 So sorry you've been struggling so much, I hope the new meds help! Fingers crossed you'll feel better once you get into the second trimester. 🙏🏻

Did you have a booking appointment? Hopefully your scan comes through soon but great news all was well at the private one 😊

mrspreece · 04/08/2023 13:15

I have had a headache for 3 days now and nothing is shifting it :( starting to panic as I had pre eclampsia with my last baby. Can't get in gp either

Scarletthoping · 04/08/2023 13:16

@Itsasomething - I’m so sorry. Hope you’re doing OK xx
