Yes, @Hopefulfirstround! I was yawning non stop from 4pm and since hitting 6 weeks it’s now 2pm.

I had my scan today and all is well. We saw the heartbeat and I had a panicked cry before we began. The weight of the occasion hit me! Baby is doing well but they are measuring 3 days smaller than the 6wks 5days expected. Measuring 6wks 2days. Naturally I’m now obsessed with this but midwife wasn’t at all concerned. Does anyone have experience of this?

Mg91 · 02/08/2023 15:37

Hey, has anyone’s cycles been affected since taking conceive plus fertility supplement tablets 2 a day? I’ve only took for 4 days and noticed my period didn’t come. I’m now 6 days late with a negative test. Worried I have messed my cycle up taking these 😢

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 16:40

@FiddleLeaf I also had a scan today and measured 7 weeks which I was expecting because i had a scan 2 weeks ago but she did say they don't give due dates this early as they can still be 5 days out either side this stage as everything is still so tiny so harder to measure so I wouldn't worry too much

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 16:42

@FiddleLeaf I also had an early scan with my first baby and when I had my dating scan they measured him 3 days behind the first scan and everything was fine he even came bang on his due date

Ah that’s good to hear, thank you!🙏 I’ve been doing a silly amount of googling and it sounds pretty normal. Roll on next week and another scan.

LeopardLover · 02/08/2023 17:32

@FiddleLeaf @krissy12 So glad your scans went well 💕 Mine also went well! They aren't sure where the bleeding came from and the awful pain wasn't connected to baby. I still feel very emotionally drained and ended up sobbing when I saw baby but there we go! 😅 My nausea has tailed off too a bit unless I'm hungry. I'm 8+2 but measuring a few days ahead (meaningless at this stage). X

krissy12 · 02/08/2023 18:18

@LeopardLover that's great news so glad your scan went well to. I know what you mean it is very emotional

ScottishStardust · 02/08/2023 18:28

@LeopardLover I've been thinking about you, glad everything went well and baby is doing fine!

HKS90 · 02/08/2023 18:56

Congrats on the scans everyone! I’ve got one tomorrow but I’m feeling pretty anxious as my symptoms have really started tailing off, I keep telling myself I’m just lucky and getting over the peak but it’s so hard not to think the worst. Has anybody else noticed symptoms starting to calm down yet? I’m around 9+4

Strawb28 · 02/08/2023 19:42

For any of the mums talking about spotting and being nervous I had a perfect 6 week scan today and see a strong heartbeat :) I'm delighted after my spotting.

Roxystar23 · 02/08/2023 19:49

Hi Everyone! I’m 7+3 and so far the only symptoms I’ve had is extreme tiredness & very vivid dreams and the occasional nipple ache. I haven’t felt nauseous at all which is the opposite to my first pregnancy when I was nauseous from the very beginning. Slightly concerned by the lack of symptoms but hoping I’m just lucky.
Looking forward to reading about how everyone’s scans are going.

Itsasomething · 02/08/2023 19:51

@Strawb28 that's really reassuring, glad your scan went well!

FiddleLeaf · 02/08/2023 19:56

So pleased for you @LeopardLover & @Strawb28. I full on cried too… I blame the hormones 😉

@Roxystar23, the tiredness is enough to contend with 🙂 I had one night of nausea and it’s vanished. Hoping it doesn’t return!

Itsasomething · 02/08/2023 20:33

@Strawb28 can I ask, what happens at the EPU scanning appointment, do they just scan you and send you on your way? Or do they talk to you about it then?

LeopardLover · 02/08/2023 20:48

@krissy12 @ScottishStardust @FiddleLeaf Thank you, I really appreciate it 💖

@ScottishStardust How are you feeling?

@HKS90 My symptoms tailed off at 7+4 so I wouldn't worry, it can be quite common. I remember last time weeks 6 and 11 were awful. I still feel bad if I don't eat though, it's not all gone 😅

@Strawb28 Really pleased for you!

@Itsasomething Jumping in here, but I had an appointment with a nurse first, appointment by sonographer, and follow up appointment with a midwife. I couldn't fault them, they were very compassionate! X

Hiddenvoice · 02/08/2023 20:49

@Itsasomething with my EPU scan they checked all my details and asked for a run down of what happened. They then asked if anything had changed and how I was feeling. I was in a very private room which didn’t have a wall mounted screen for me to watch. When I was scanned I had an abdominal at 6 weeks which worked okay for me. She said straight away that I was pregnant and my baby had the heartbeat and showed me which of course brought on a lot of crying. After that she checked me over to see if there was any reason for the bleeding. She then went back to the babt and kept it there until I was reassured and felt okay. She then was just overall lovely and calmed me down. Gave me all the details I needed incase I need to contact someone again and told me to rest and relax. I was in for so long but they just didn’t rush me and gave me all the time I needed .

Can we talk fashion? How are we hiding these tiny bumps? I've been living in Lucy and Yak dungarees but I need to switch it up. I work in marketing so it's very casual... I can't wear dresses when it's raining because it would be very out of character for me. I need elasticated waists 🙈

LeopardLover · 02/08/2023 20:52

@Hiddenvoice Sounds very emotional! So pleased they were so kind and respectful. 💕 X

Itsasomething · 02/08/2023 22:05

@Hiddenvoice @LeopardLover thank you for sharing your experience. I think knowing what to expect is reassuring at this unsettling time

ScottishStardust · 02/08/2023 22:23

@LeopardLover I'm feeling ok, exhausted and fall asleep on the sofa most evenings! We have our follow up scan this Friday so hopefully see a heartbeat and get a better idea of how far along I am.
No more pain which is good - I half wonder if it was psychological because of the worry of a further ectopic! At least I know it's not!

No suggestions about clothing options! I'm plus size anyways, around an 18 so people will just think I'm fattening up for winter haha!

mrspreece · 02/08/2023 22:23

Evening.
Joining if that's OK. Edd 27th March.

4th baby already have 3 boys (12 today, 8 and 4) very shocked surprised. I'm 38 and a primary teacher.

Had hyperemesis with my 3rd and suddenly onset pre e. (He stopped growing at 27 weeks. He was born at 36 weeks weighing 3lb 4ox.

Any way so far no symptoms except extreme tiredness and my boots are huge. For being only 6 weeks they've gone up 2 cup.sizes and are so painful!

Not cravings but everything I drink has to be ice cold

mrspreece · 02/08/2023 22:26

And by the looks of it I have lost the ability to spell and write coherent sentences 🤔🙃

HKS90 · 03/08/2023 07:27

Thanks @LeopardLover that is reassuring to hear! Just going to try and keep busy today and not think about it until my appointment this afternoon

BBno4 · 03/08/2023 10:31

I just got given my dating scan in September and I have my booking scan 22nd August.

Feels so real now. Its the first time I haven't contacted my GP and did self referral online.

I havent told my side of the family yet, I don't feel like they will be too happy as its baby no4 and I'm 31.

My MIL however has been very supportive and has offered to cook me food if I'm craving it, but I havent had any cravings yet.

I'm starting to feel the bloat a lot and my breasts are soo tender, which I wasn't expecting as I read pregnant 3 and 4 you might not get sore breasts.

I'm getting a lot of spots on my face aswell, is anyone else?

Its good the weather has been shit so I can wear jackets and hide the bloat.

Right now it just looks like I'm getting a fat belly 🙃.
