@Un7breakable aww gosh looks like I’m one of the unlucky ones then! Fingers crossed they start working soon for me it’s so hard atm as we haven’t told anyone yet so trying to not make it obvious I’m pregnant to family and work… might have to tell work soon though if carry on feeling like this.

Are any of you ladies experiencing spotting?
I am now 8+1 and have had spotting once/twice a week since implantation. It doesn't last long (maybe two/three wipes in the same hour) and very light (would never be able to get on pants or a pad)

I had a scan last Thursday and all was good and how it should be (strong 144 bpm heartbeat) but I have had coloured discharge this week and spotting again. It just worries me so much even though lots of woman say it's normal!
Just wondering if it's only me 🤔

@Mangotango39 Hi, less like spotting and more of bleeding. I am 9 weeks and at 7weeks I had a heavy gush of blood, convinced I’d lost the pregnancy. Had an early scan and there was a heartbeat and measuring bang on. I was told I probably had a haematoma, but it’s gone now and should stop…
Anyway, fast forward to Monday, I bled again, brown, red, pink, non stop. I called epu again and they booked me a scan for the Friday (yday). I hadn’t stopped bleeding since and was filling I’d say a pad a day (but I was changing).
I had my scan yday, measured me 8+6, heartbeat, but visable haematoma and fibroid. 2 weeks no sex (which is fine because I’m single ahah), no heavy lifting and being mindful of bending.
my point is, please get it checked before panicking, this last bleed came exactly when my period would have been due, I’ve had panics twice now convinced I’d MC’d. But there were other explanations. Just speak with your midwife/go/epu xxx

I have an 8 year old daughter and this is my 7th pregnancy after 5 losses.
Due date 11/2/24.
Scan yesterday was looking good @ 9 weeks but I don’t think I’ll ever settle till I’m holding the baby.

@HappyHols12345 I was out on something else to start with that didn't work then drs switched me to the cyclazine which thankfully did. I know what you mean. I had to tell work at 6 weeks as I had to back out of a work trip as I was feeling so awful. I think some other suspect as I've been ill.

Hi all sorry for the TMI but is anyone else struggling with bad constipation? I don't think it's helping that my appetite is all over the place so I haven't really been eating much proper food. I have my first midwife appt on Tuesday, is it something I can ask for help with?

@Meeting I have. It was so bad the other day it made me have light spotting after a bowel movement.
when I went for a scan yst I mentioned it and they said, prune juice, orange juice or fibre gel. Plus lots of water.
I’m on progesterone pessaries and apparently that makes it worse.

Ladies I think I have thrush in my last pregnancy the dr prescribed canestan gel. Obviously it’s a saterday so can’t contact midwife or gp do you think it would still be the same if I went to buy it? X

It’s all the same stuff (same active ingredient). If you buy it from a pharmacy (ie one with a pharmacist not just off the shelf) then you can ask the pharmacist at the till if it’s okay etc. They’re generally far better at that stuff than GPs anyway!

@SnowyNoey you don't sound awful. It's good to get the practicalities sorted way before and to think of all of this stuff now. Especially if your house isn't suitable for a baby over the winter etc. I think anxiety is a big first trimester thing as well, so probably making you panic more. Hopefully you'll find something nice to buy in the coming months.
